Happy Birthday Wayne!

:bday: :bday: party: party:

Just wanted to give everyone a small update. Finished my first round of chemo this morning. All in all I think it went very well. Some tingling in my fingers especially with cold things and the same in my mouth. No other side effects this round which is good. I know have a week and a half off before #2 on the 23rd.

Know that I couldn't do it without the support and prayers of all of you! God Bless you all!

Glad to hear that the first chemo round went well and I hope they continue to go well. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

Looks like it is going to be a cold one here today (in the teens) but at least pretty clear and some sun.

Hope everyone has a great day!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Good Morning Everyone!:)

Can't believe it is Thursday already. This week is going by fast.

Yes, it is going to be cold here today Mary, but they say it is going to be in the 50's this week end. As long as there is no snow I can handle the cold.

Mary - How do you feel today? :wizard:

Take care

Hi Flo - I'm feeling good. Thanks for asking! Got a good nights sleep and I'm looking forward to another full day of work. Ok well maybe not a full day. I need to leave at 4pm to have my coumadin levels checked but since I normally leave at 4:30 it isn't too bad.

Diane, Nice job breaking into the Swan count!

Hi everyone! I feel like I've been gone forever and its only been six days.

Thanks so much for all of Courtney's birthday wishes. We were up in the Dells for her birthday so she didn't see them until last night, but she thought she was some sort of celebrity or something since everyone took the time to acknowledge her special day. You guys are so great!

The dance competition went very well. Courtney was on fire. I wish I could post some pictures, but I lost my camera on Monday before I got the weekend pics downloaded. It was very sad for me. The camera itself was expensive, but those pictures are irreplaceable.

Courtney was one of five finalists for a ballet scholarship. They did an audition class over the weekened. There were about 200 kids in her age group and she was one of the top five. I was very proud of her. She didn't win, but the girl that beat her was amazing! I told Courtney that if she had to lose - that this girl deserved to win. Courtney agreed. She was also happy that she got callbacks for tap and jazz too (which are not her strongest disciplines....so another big accomplishment.)

I took pictures of her in all her different costumes - but you'll have to wait until the next competition to see them since my stinkin' camera got swiped.

After the weekend in Chicago we headed to the Dells. It was fun and all the kids enjoyed it. I was a little gloomy because of the camera incident, but I tried not to let it affect me too much. I'm glad to be home though. I need to focus on "real life" again.

Mary - I'm glad to hear that your chemo treatment went well and that you didn't have harsh side effects.

Dianne - Congrats on the new Granddaughter!!! How exciting! I bet she is just beautiful.

Hi all, we are back from WDW. Had a great time with all the drill team girls although at times challenging with 19 girls! Good news is they won the National Drill Team Championship and our now the National Champions for the small high school division. The girls were thrilled.

Went to Hollywood Studios on Friday. Enjoyed the American Idol Experience and of course, Toy Story Mania.

Went to Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Thought it interesting that they no longer issue wristbands for extra magic hours and you just show your KTTW card instead. Guess they are cutting costs.

The one thing I noticed is all the stuff they have on sale (even in the parks). All the toys are 35% off, jewelry, timepieces and plush 25% off. There were some great deals. I didn't buy much, saving my money as much as possible.

Although, did get our annual passes with the DVC discount. Ouch! That took a large sum of money, but now we are good for a year.

Mary, glad to see that you are feeling better and your first chemo was bearable.

Excited to see the names of the two new ships too!

Okay, work to do, it's Girl Scout Cookie Time!

Kelly - sorry to hear about the camera. That really stinks! :sad1: I'm glad you have the memories though. Sounds like Courtney did really great and you must be one proud Mom!

Glad you all had fun at the Dells. Too bad real life has to come back in to play. I guess that is how we all stick to our addictions, Disney addictions that is. :lmao:

Hi Everyone!

Have to tell you guys what happened yesterday. We found a good deal with United out of O’Hare for the SSMC09 yesterday. We would leave Friday afternoon and return the day we come back. I was all excited we would get to spend the whole day in Florida. We went to book it got all the way to the end……. DH went to get his United Card and could not find. He has not used in a couple years. He was going crazy looking for it. So guess what we did not make them. He called today and they are sending a card out and say we should have it Saturday. So let’s hope the fare does not go up.

It was only 25.00 more then air Trans from Midway and for us it is easier to get to O’Hare.

I also look at it this way. It was not meant to be.
