Susan - how lucky you are for your airfare. I wish we could deals like that from Iowa to Florida. The best we can do is $99 one way. And with four of us, usually, it is not cheap. And we love that military offer. We are going to be using it when we go down in June. Free for DH and then me and the girls with the $99 tickets. Hurry up June!

Our school district is just Ogden Community School's. We are a small school. I think the average number of kids in a class is around 60. But alot of our schools are combining up here and they abbreviate their names to like, PCM, I-35, H-L-V. Thanks for explaining it!

Wow 60 in a class. Sound like my grad school and high school We had between 30 and 45. Are school district would have a hissy fit with that number and raise my taxes again. Oh well!

We had a rough Friday night.

We had just finished a farewell dinner with Grandma and Grandpa before they make their final move up north. As we were walking out of the restaurant Courtney's feet flew right out from under her and our evening ended in the emergency room.

Darn ice!

Thankfully the doctor found no evidence of fractures in her wrist, elbow, or shoulder. But he's really worried about her wrist and is treating it like a break over the weekend. He wrapped it and put it in a sling and sent me on my way with a referral to the Orthopedic Surgeon. (He does know that I recently lost my job, right? And with the loss of said job I had to cancel our insurance, right?)

Well, it seems that little bones on little girls do not always show their fractures in x-ray pictures right away. He mentioned something about cartilidge and growth plates and insisted that she needed further treatment.

The poor thing is devastated since she is in full swing for competition season for dance. She just completed the choreography for her solo on Thursday! With only four weeks until the first competition, practices and rehearsals are every day. Now she has to sit out and she is beside herself. I feel so bad for her. She has worked so hard.

So that is how I spent my Friday night. And now I get to help load the moving truck for my Mom and step dad all day. I'm really not liking 2009 so far.

I'm not sure who looks more pathetic....Courtney or our dog, Max.

I feel so bad for Courtney! She had to be devastated. With her in the middle of dance competition! Will she have to sit out for a while? Poor Girl.

Also, feel bad for you with no insurance. This is going to be costly! Maybe the doctors will cut you some slack. I do know they have two different prices. One for insurance and one for no insurance.

Loading a truck is not going to be fun. But at least you have a nice day. Were up north are they moving?

We won't really know how long she has to sit out until she sees the specialist next week. I have to call for an appointment on Monday. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the doctor was worried about.

My Mom is moving up to Hayward, WI. It'll be weird not having her so close by. The kids are pretty upset about it. But they are downsizing. Their house down here is really big. My Dh used to go vacation at the Cottage on one of the lakes down there. I can't remember the name. It is a nice little town. We went once to the cottages he used to go to but they do not have air and it rained so we could not keep the windows open. i was not happy. But it was so pretty. Good luck to them.

Ok Guys I have to shear with you what I did today. We were out shopping. Are first stop was Cabala’s. We go to walk in, DS opens the door and down I go. They have a tiled foyer and it was wet. It is in the high 40’s and the snow is melting. I went right on my knees. I was like I do not believe I did this. I have a left knee that I have problems with to being with. SO I will see what happens. I think what I was more made about was I broke my nails. It took me a long time to grow.

On the way out they put rugs, that should have been by the door from the time the store opened.

Kelly, so sorry to hear about Courtneys injury, hopefully they can find out quickly how severe the injury is, and treat her ASAP. My daughter (Courtney as well) fractured her arm a few years back and was allowed to continue rehearsals. She ended up having her cast removed before her performance. As for 2009 there is plenty of time for the good to come, you must be getting rid of all the "bad" early!

Mary has a lot more than an oxygen monitor on her finger, there's an IV and this whole spaghetti of other monitoring cords that can get in the way as well, and the notebook isn't all that conducive to typing anyhow.

Mary's doing well enough that one of the nurses inferred that the only reason she's still in ICU is there really isn't room up in the regular patient rooms, and there's plenty down in the 2 ICU units. No point in moving her. She's met all the doc's goals, the only remaining thing they are doing is wean her off the oxygen so she can get up and get moving around to get her strength back. They've pretty aggressively stepped it down already, I'd expect she'll be totally off it in the next day or two. If everything goes as they expect she could be heading home as soon as Tue.

Yes, ICU is more then just oxygen monitor. I am glad she has met all the goals. Being weaned off the oxygen is a big step. I am sure she will rest even better when she gets home and into her own surrondings.

It was so good to see her post today and I am sure she enjoyed being able to do this. But on a laptop with all the hook ups is not easy.

We got tickets on Allegiant. But, I should restate it is $99 down and $99 back. So, $200 a ticket. Sorry. Fingers were slower than brain.
