09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009

Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

With two tests needing to be done today I've taken the day off. I have a leftover 2008 vacation day so took that. First up is a CT scan at 12:30. That required me to be up at 12:30 AM drinking a "berry smoothie". Not at all like the smoothies served on DCL. At 11:30 I get to drink an iodine cocktail mix and head off for the scan. Then later this afternoon I have an EKG scheduled at my doctor's office. The EKG was supposed to be done with my pre-op appointment but for some reason the tech there didn't do it. Once those are done I just have to wait until Tuesday when I do the surgery prep with a liquid diet and an evening of drinking my favorite drink....NOT!

Plans for the weekend include a crop day tomorrow with my girlfriends. I'm really looking forward to that. Sunday will be doing things around the house and hopefully doing out tax workbook to send to the accountant.

Taxes, I wish we could do are. But we still have not gotten are DVC and of course my old job. They are slow.

What hospital are you having surgery? I know Lutheran General is not far from you.

I am with you on the game. We will watch it for the commercials (at least I will).

Bolt, is getting better. He is going out side (some times). He also discovered his bark. That is fun. But one thing when he gets up in the morning he wants us All up. The only thing my DS has going for him is his bed is up in the air.

Oh I almost forgt Bolt said thanks for the dog bisket from his friend in Delaware. He asked me to send you this picture.

Awwwwww Bolt is so cute. He reminds me of my 2 when they were puppies. My male (Brando) is 10 years old and my female (Elka) is going to be 7 in February.
As soon as they discover their bark....they bark at just about everything. My dogs are the same way....when they get up----everyone gets up!!!!!

My husband is the same way . The last members cruise (2008)...he was up so early---he took pictures of the sunrise and went and got us coffee. He only does this when he is on vacation. Go figure

It must be husbands on a cruise. Mine gets up walkes are the deck, takes pictures then brings coffee down with him.

I may be up but I don't want to get dressed. I just go on the balcany

We have a 7 1/2 female shepard named Lexie. We got her from animal rescue. When we took her to the the vet the last time for her shots we were told she is considered a senior.

My plan for the day is a scrapbook crop over at a girlfriends. I've got two big bags of stuff I'm bringing (which includes my cricut and cartridges). Should be a fun day.

Mary - sounds like you are going to have a fun day! And yeah, for the warm up. We are supposed to be up around 40 today. But, we have a lot of snow on the ground so I don't know if we will get that high here or not. Maybe in Southern Iowa.

My plans today are to go get the weekly shopping done. You know, Wal-Mart, Groceries, Sam's. . .Fun. Not! Those are the only stores it seems like I go to. Nothing fun like the Mall or anything.

Those are the only stores I go to with one exception. I go to target allot. We have a super one by us. I only go to the Mall when I go to the DVC store at Woodfield. To many people.

Hi Everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Chris - Have fun shopping. I love going to Sam's - even if its just for groceries. I don't know why. I'm just a dork that way.

Mary - Have fun hanging out with the girls and the scrapbooks today. All my supplies are still sitting here in a big bin taunting me. Everytime I read your posts about your scrap meets I feel the urge to actually start one of my books.

My daughter had a friend spend the night, so I'm off to make some Belgium waffles for everyone. The kids have a sledding party this afternoon and then we all have my niece's first birthday party after that. I have piles of stuff here that I'm trying to get listed on eBay, but its taking forever. Perhaps always running these kids all over that place has something to do with that!
