Greetings everyone from Minnesota! Had a nice quiet flight up and then spent the afternoon at the Mall of America. Hey Karen - they even have a Basin store up here!

Back at the hotel we did a quick dip in the hot tub and now I'm in the business center checking online quickly before heading off to bed.

Karen - I started reading Twilight on the ride up. So far I like it.

I did take a few pictures of the mall but for those of you who have never been there it is hard to describe the size. Lots of walking! My ankle is making me aware of just how much!

Is there snow in MN like we have here? Traffic I am told was not fun this morning. It took my DS 45 extra min to get to work. I would say winter in the Midwest is here.

Very little snow up here. Plus we are only right across the road from our training so our ride over was only 2 minutes.

I see quite a few of you have read Twilight...and liked it. I had been wanting to read it. Anyone like James Patterson, Janet Evanovich or Catherine Coulter (her FBI series)??? James Patterson's new book "Cross Country" is really good.

Nice day here....sun is out, windy and 52 degrees. Love it for the first day of December.

Hello everyone! I cannot believe how much catching up I had to do. You all have been a chatty bunch. I am glad to read that so many of you had an enjoyable and happy Thanksgiving. And, some have already decorated for the holiday season. Good for you. We will not be decorating this year as we are headed to NJ for Christmas.

I know I am late with the Thanksgiving and Black Friday talk but here goes. We had a wonderful time in NC visiting DH's family. Traffic going down was not too bad but on the way back it was horrendous in some spots. A normal 4 hour drive took us 6 1/2 hours last night. DS (age 1) held up well though. He did not sleep much but he was a good boy.

On Black Friday, DH went out with his brother to the NC outlets at midnight and then left again at 5:00 a.m. for sales at Walmart, Staples, and Best Buy. Can you tell what type of things they were shopping for at 5 am - electronics, DVDs, blue ray discs, memory cards, etc. Then, they came home and slept most of the day. Then I went with them to the outlets again around 7 pm to do some shopping for me. DH told me the Big Dog (he loves Big Dog clothes hence the username) Store is going out of business and had some real bargains. The one at the Ocean City, MD outlets has already closed down. I also found some nice outfits and a pair of sneakers for DS and some cologne for DH and my dad.

All in all, Thanksgiving was lovely and we had a wonderful trip.

Christmas is right around the corner. Wishing everyone a a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I'm not a big reader, typically. Read the Harry Potter series out loud to the kids, read a few books here and there. The Twilight saga is the first I've been so completely immersed in for a long time.

I do like some Patterson....mostly the non-crime ones....like "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" and ones like that.

I am always looking for good book suggestions. I read a ton of books aloud to the kids (we keep the local library busy!) and always have fun with those, but I do like reading something more "grown-up" for myself !

I will go and see if the library has Cross Country.

Hope everyone is having a nice evening, I have just finished putting together a Christmas wall-hanging that has been in my to-do pile for at least 10 years! so I feel pretty good . It is hanging already, but I want to add some beads and special little extras, like bells on the reindeers, star buttons...

Good Chilly Morning Everyone! It is around 19 degrees here this morning. Brrrrrrrr. But it is supposed to warm up to around 39 today. Then more snow for tomorrow.

My girls have ready the Twilight series and love it. Not sure if I would like it. I'm more of a Nora Roberts type of person. I should give Twilight a try though cuz everyone seems to like it.

It is 20 here now in IL with a high of 32 and more snow here tomorrow to. Oh well what you going to.
