Hello Everyone! I had a busy work week & when I got home DS "demanded" my attention so did not have time to stop in and say hello. I hope everyone had a good weekend. DH & I just finished shovelling some snow & it is still coming down. I am not sure how much we are supposed to get but our neighbor says about 12 inches. This is the first major snow storm that we have had in years. We have been blessed. I thought it was going to be an ice storm since it started to sleet when we were coming home from church but then it changed over to snow.

DS was outside with us. All he kept saying was "snow." He would just look up at it and smile. He did not want to come inside. It is amazing seeing things through his eyes. Everything is so new to him. I love it!

DS comes first!:)

Here is some :wizard: that they are wrong and you don't get all that snow.

Yes, it is amazing to see things through the eys of a little one.

Take care

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Those of you in the Northeast stay warm and dry. Sounds like a nasty storm hitting you.

We have a little bit of snow but not too much.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Monday!

Here's hoping you all out on the East Coast stay safe today! :flower3:

Mary,

Good Luck this afternoon! :) Hope all goes well.

I'm so excited! Just got off the phone with our travel agent for the 7/11/10 cruise with our Blabbermouth friends. We are booked! It is a 5 night cruise on the Wonder going to Nassau and to Castaway Cay twice. Woo Hoo!

Happy Monday everyone!

Mary - congrats on booking the next cruise. Somehow things always seem better when you have another vacation in the works!

My Mom is coming into town for my nephew's birthday this afternoon. She'll be staying with us so the kids will be happy to have grandma around for a few days. The jury is still out on whether or not I'm thrilled about it  ....but I'll be nice. I promise. I love her, but things just seem more stressful when I'm bombarded by all those "opinions" she has.

Actually we have a bit more to go. They get shut down at 3750 posts (250 pages).

Oops! I don't know why I was thinking 3500! I will correct my post to say that.

thanks
Mary

First steel cutting for Disney Cruise Line

Mickey Mouse in Papenburg

First steel cutting for Disney Cruise Line

Papenburg, March 2, 2009 - Start for the construction of the first cruise ship for the American cruise operator Disney Cruise Line (Orlando/USA) in Papenburg. On the 2nd of March, 2009 MEYER WERFT launched the production of the first steel plate for the new and innovative Disney cruise ship.

With this moment one special guest might not be absent: Mickey Mouse, Disney's symbolic figure. Disney Cruise Line’s President, Karl Holz, managing director Bernard Meyer and the project manager Philip Gennotte and Frank de Heer as well as Mickey Mouse pressed the start button of the automated plasma torch and initiated the start of construction work.

The name of the new Disney cruise ship has yet to be announced. However, it is certain that the design of the ship will strongly keep to classic models from the 30s. By the planning of the new ship generation the responsible engineers and designers got inspired by the transatlantic liners. These had a mighty black body, two big funnels and portholes. Externally the ship will carry the colours of Mickey Mouse similar to their current fleet. The cabins are generous and family-friendly designed.

Until 2012 MEYER WERFT will deliver two new cruise ships to Disney Cruise Line. Each of these ships has a length of 340 metres and is 37 metres wide. With 128,000 GT and 1,250 cabins the new ships will be considerably bigger than the present Disney ships.

Mary-so glad to see that you are going back to work tomorrow! Take it easy though.....

I'm headed out this week on Wednesday to Orlando with the high school drill team for national competition at the University of Central Florida. We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. Competition is all day Saturday, so planning on spending Friday and Sunday with the mouse! Yippee!

Well, we got the snow that was predicted. DH & I spent most of the day shoveling our driveway. However, I did spend time with DS in the snow. I showed him how to make a snow angel. That was fun. Now, he upstairs taking his nap. Fun in the snow wore him out.

Hi everyone! I can't believe that I haven't been on the DIS since Thursday. I feel so out of touch. :confused3 Well, my sister and the kids went home on Saturday night and my internet is working better after rebooting my router & modem yesterday. So its back on the DIS today.

I think that my cat was happy when the kids left and she had peace and quiet again! My niece was always petting the cat when she was here. :rotfl: Poor kitty! :)
