it says...The approximate wait time to speak with a Member Services Vacation Advisor is 45 minutes

I am going to go to bed tonight singing Disney songs in my sleep.

53 minutes and still holding and not giving up.

Ok, off to watch Survivor (DVR) with family before dh has to go to work. :)

Good luck everyone still trying to get in!

And the answer is ....Nope! They consider it a cancellation because DVC is actually treated by DCL as an travel agency, so agency to agency transfers past a certain date are a no-no.

The points vs. cash issue is the downer, 542 points vs $3819, not the best rate.... I guess.

Anybody get any info on the "surprises"?

No, it's not the best rate. Something I'm going to try and clarify right now about this upfront. This cruise will never be less than a regular cruise in the same timeframe. DVC is not making any kind of discount for these.

There is a reason, and one of the main reasons Mary and I go on them. They bring on a whole bunch of front line entertainment each and every year they've done one. We've met people and enjoyed presentations by them that you frankly can't even get tickets to anyplace.

If you want to know the kind of surprises and guests who have had serious connections to Disney, I've compiled trip reports for all our past Member Cruises over here: http://monorailgreen.info/DVC.html

DVC will probably be keeping it totally under wraps until a few weeks before they cruise, as they have done on all the previous ones.

I'll also say this as well, What DVC brings is far more geared for adults in the entertainment department. BUT the way this cruise goes there is always far less kids than on a regular 4-day. Your kids will have a far better time with the pools and clubs than they could have had on a similar 'regular' 4-day.

Confirmed portside Cat 3. on points (ouch!), guess Tortola is still going to happen,

You say "Ouch" and of course, everyone finds satisfaction different ways, but the Member cruise is very special!

Hang in there everyone! I know how hard the waiting is as this is really the first year I got in fast. We're here to support you!

I can honestly tell you that in the past years everyone from the DIS who was trying to get in on booking day did. Just takes a while. :grouphug:

Web site updated. Says 1 hour wait time. I have been on hold 1 hour 3 min.

Cat 3 limited available. As of 10:00 EST

1 hour hold here as well and counting .......

Oh, I am in the same boat as you. I hope we all can get through and booked before the categories we want are all booked.

I hope you get the category you want, but honestly, on the ship is the best! We were on deck 2 - Cat. 9 - I think - and while we questioned it at first look, we were thrilled! We had a blast and weren't in our cabin that much anyway - but when we were, we loved it. On the ship - that's the place to be!

I don't remember it taking this long last year but I kept losing my phone signal and had to leave it up to my roomie - hmmmmmm.

We have been trying to get through now since 9:00. Keep getting busy signal or a voice saying our call did not go through. Any one else getting that message?

DH & I were on the '06 member cruise -- had the best time!

Member site - updated 10am - wait time is 1 hour!!! Been on hold since 9:32 so I have a while to go.

Silly question -- if I plug my cell phone (Moto Razr) into the charger while on hold, will it disconnect the call?

Good luck everyone!

Debbie

This is the first time for us on the Members cruise, I just got through looking at the navigators from one of the previous cruises, needless to say I had no idea of the extras that are included.

My primary motivation was that I heard that there are sometimes better deals on add-ons presented during the cruise.
