09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

opps need to correct my post DS wedding was suspose to be 10-10-10 and has moved it to 9-10-11, thats why I told him he could not rebook it during the Members Cruise.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: when the new schedule comes out.it could bump his wedding date since they won't do a wedding on game day, and they are big baseball fans.

Hello DIS Friends!!

Sounds like all is going well for everyone. :thumbsup2

Congrats Dustin on a great performance! :cool1:

Sue - DS is in Troop 15. He has only attended one meeting. He missed last night due to a special program at school last night.

Chris that sounds so cool. How exciting would that be to have your child performing at your 'Disney home'?!?!?!

Dianne so glad to hear you are feeling better. That sounds like such fun getting married at home plate.

Hi Mary and Flo!! Glad to hear you are having such nice weather. Looking back a few weeks, did you think it was ever going to warm up?

We are expecting lots of rain over the next few days. Everything is so wet right now that I am worried we may have some flooding.

Hi Robbie! Are things back to normal around you? I think the last time I was on the here I read you had some bad weather and very high winds. Was there much clean up for you?

Dave - If you are in need of a car to work on let me send you mine. :thumbsup2 It sure could use a face lift. Oh who am I kidding its problems are more than cosmetic. But I will keep it as long as I possibly can. Sure can not add any more payments on such as a new car bill. How could I then save for our SSMC11 reunion?

Where is Joanne these days? I do not recall seeing her on here lately. Hope all is well. I will have to track her down on Facebook and send her a note.

As for me, tonight was my first night of class for this session. 1 down and 6 more nights to go. I really like the instructor. He is very entertaining and keeps the class interesting. Lots of work (or course) but I think I am really going to like this one.

DD had a wonderful time at her Daisies tea party. :flower3:

Last night DS and I attended a special program they do each year for the 5th grade boys. They talk to them about the their changing bodies, personal hygiene, and all that fun stuff. Also talked to them about the transition to middle school. I had previously bought him 'The Body Book for Boys' which he read a little but I made sure he read it before going to this event. To better prepare him for the topics to be discussed. He was glad I did. He was probably one of few boys that did not giggle through the video they watched.

Oh, and as of this morning DS (to be 11 in just 20 days) can now look me straight in the eye without looking up. :scared1: It was just last week that we were discussing how he was almost my height. I said I bet by the end of the school year you will be looking me right in the eye. I was only giving him 3 months. Who was I kidding...it only took him a week. He thought that was so cool!

DD had her first Tball practice for this season. What was the first question she asked when I told her what team she would be on???? What color is my shirt??? :rotfl2:

Okay, I better get to bed. I am under the weather yet again. Another cold that DD brought home.

Enjoy the remainder of your week and the upcoming weekend. Oh, Chris have a great trip to WDW. Enjoy!!

Thanks Lisa! We will.

And Dave - yes the weather is crappy here in Iowa. Fog, Fog, and more Fog!

Hi SSM09 friends! Got this e mail from Joanne and she asked me to post for her.

I haven't been on the boards because I can't log in (this has been going on for the last few weeks). It acts like it's logging me in, but it doesn't. I've been trying to go through the DIS help, but so far no good. Please tell everyone that we're fine...just very frustrated! I can't even PM anyone, that's why I'm emailing.

Yes, thanks, things are now back to normal. It was amazing how much debris there was. The roads were covered with small branches, pine cones, etc. Luckily for me I didn't loose power and the people who did were only out for a few days.

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

Stopping in real quick here to say HELLO, checking Facebook, then going to bed.

I'm not feeling well :sick:and I am really exhausted.

Flo - Oh I just saw your Disney Dream countdown. Next time I am on I will have to get one set up.

Okay, so who is good at designing the logos and all. I think someone needs to make a special SSMC11 reunion logo for the group. Maybe something with your morning group name...even though not all of us got to join you we were there in spirit. ;) Or something fun for our group. Start brain storming on some ideas.

Have a good night!

Thanks Flo, for posting this - I was beginning to worry about her!

Chris, Bob and girls - Have a FABULOUS trip! Wish I was going! Hope you have a great time and great weather. Stay safe!

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've been a bit MIA. Work has been a bit crazy and I haven't been online too much and what little time I've been on has been in planning our July cruise and Facebook. Booking night for the cruise is tonight and I'm getting excited!

Thanks for the update on Joanne Flo - hope she gets things fixed soon.

Dianne - sounds like your DS has a fun wedding planned.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the nicer weather that seems to have finally made its way around the country. All the snow is gone and it has been in the 50's the last couple of days. Had some nasty storms roll through last night but that is part of Spring in the Midwest as well.

We're still on the fence about SSMC11. Going to wait and hear what this years is like and then will see if it is still worth the extra points/cash. With the Alaska cruise still to be paid off and the time needed for that we just don't know. Definitely want to try out the Dream so it may happen and if it does you all will be a big part of it.

Thanks Sue! We sure hope to have a good time. Wish you were going too! But the weather isn't looking to hot. Only in low 70's to upper 60's. But it is better than being at home.

Darn - I knew I left something out! Have a great time Chris! Say Hi to Mickey and the gang for us.::MickeyMo::MinnieMopluto:pooh:

Good Morning!!

Not able to sleep this morning.

Primarily due to Mittens :ccat: . His new thing is he comes in my room and finds somewhere to perch himself. He then proceeds to (one by one) knock things on to the hardwood floor. Actually, he firsts announces himself with a few loud cries until you acknowledge he is there. He then waits until you just fall back asleep and things start dropping. Now that I am awake, he jumped down and all is quiet. :headache:

Once again, all I can think of is all the work I need to get done so...I will be making a pot of coffee and this will be me today. :surfweb: Class work and audit work.

Hope Chris is having safe travels down to WDW.

Thanks Flo and Robbie for the get well wishes. Still not feeling great and still tired but better then the last time I was on here.

Mary - so sad to hear there is a chance you might not be able to join us on SSMC11. All valid reasons but still would be wonderful if you and Mark were there. The more the merrier!!!

Question to all you parents....does the vast amount of :laundy: ever end???
At least here at our house it just never seems to end. Even with my large capacity front load washer I can not ever catch up. :confused3

Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a great week ahead of them.

Our schedule this week.... Mon - DD Daisies; Tues - DS Boy Scouts, DD TBall practice; Wed - DD & DS PREP (CCD), Me Class; Thurs - DD Dance and Tball practice, Me camouflage appt (hair); Fri - DS leaves for camping; Sat - DD dance recital pictures; Sun - DS Returns from camping.........Monday it starts all over again. I hate to say it but I am kind of glad DS decided not to play BB this season. Not sure where we would have fit it into the schedule. Who am I kidding, parents always seem to find a way to make it all work. How do we do it?? I am really not sure. Maybe we all have an :littleangel: helping us.

Take Care everyone and stay healthy and safe. :flower3:

Oh Sue, I forgot to tell you ...

Kyle is signing up for Band and Choir for next year in Middle School. He had the choice of the full year electives of Band, Choir, Orchestra, Band/Choir, or Orchestra/Choir. Or to pick 4 other 1/4 year electives. He picked Band/Choir and selected percussion but there is a limit of 6 who can select percussion so we will see if he gets his choice.

I'll let you know how it goes.
