We're baaaaaaaack.

The parks looked festive, but not as much as in the past, I don't think. I have to say that I was completely enchanted by the snow falling on Main Street and the absolutely gorgeous frosted castle. Amazing! Oh, and we saw Andy Garcia at the MVMCP, just walking around and enjoying the party.

We had a great time but now it's back to reality; you know, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. We got to see DGD18mos on Saturday. She is so funny. She picked up the Ratatouille DVD and said, "Rat. Cook. No." and shook her head. Yesterday DD and I went to a craft show to try to wrap up the Christmas shopping; it's not quite done, but close. Now to wrap...

Chris-I took it off because it just read that the account was inactive. I have changed it though and as of today we are still going...lol I am still waiting to see if she will really take the time off. Wrapping is halfway done, and Christmas Day gifts are shipped south. I will probably "wrap" it up Thursday and we will have a small "Pre-Christmas" before we leave Thursday next week.
How about you, are you all set?

You said it! It was 7 below on the drive in with wind chills 20 below. It is terribly cold outside. So sitting up on Deck 9 right now having a Pepsi would be wonderful!

As for Christmas, I still have wrapping to do. And I think for the most part the shopping is done. We will finish what ever we need to do this weekend. It sounds like you are ready though. Which is good since you will be in warm, sunny - hopefully - Florida on Christmas!

I'm glad to see that you guys are still going on the TA. I was worried. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Good Morning!

We are on a warm up here. All the way to the 20's today! But, more snow is on the way for Sunday they say. Blech. We have enough already.

Brooke had her first basketball game last night. The first three were cancelled due to weather. They didn't do too bad for the first game. At least they scored this year! But still lost both games. We definitely see improvement over last year though.

Hi everyone! Doing a quick drive by post! Things have been crazy at work.

Chris glad to hear they finally got to have one of their games and that they are showing improvement! Hope the girls are having fun as that is what is most important.

I'm hoping the snow stays away as we are planning on going to a Christmas concert in Milwaukee on Saturday night.

Well back to work I go. Wish I was in the warmth of the bahamas with my deck 9 sunrise buddies but I have a class to teach.

Brooke has her christmas program tonight. She said she is in everything. She will be playing the in the Jazz Band and the concert band. She plays the trombone. Then she will be singing in the concert choir, chamber choir, and show choir. She said she has got two solo parts and in a quartet during the chorus part. She is so busy between all the music and basketball, it is hard to keep up with her some days.

Good Morning all of my friends and WOW, do I wish the same thing as you guys - please take me back to Deck 9 and that sun that stared us right in the face!!! What I wouldn't give to be there right now with all of you!

Time keeps getting away from me with middle DS being home! I'm trying so hard to spend as much time with him as possible because I don't know when for sure he will be home again! AHHH, to be young again!

Chris, I'm glad the concerts were nice. Dustin had his last week and it was fantastic! He played the trumpet in the jazz band and the trombone in the concert band - boy, he sounded great! He's the first of my three to really play an instrument and stick with it and it has been really fun to listen to him! The next big adventure - and I mean big literally - he brought home a TUBA yesterday! He wanted to try it and his music director is allowing him one song in the spring concert - she said she needed him back on the trombone for the rest of the pieces! So things will be sounding a little strange in our house for awhile!

Hey Dave - went bowling last night!! We had a blast, but I didn't bowl very well! I was in the 150's every game - at least I was consistent - poor, but consistent! Tom on the other hand had his highest game ever - a 258! Then he proceeded to have his best series - a 677! He was very happy - the showoff!!! It was a great time all together!

Well, it's our turn for a winter blast! We are being forecast for a major winter storm tomorrow! they are now saying we will get between 8 - 12 inches - yes, I know Chris - not much compared to you guys! But here, that will put a big damper on alot of Christmas shopping tomorrow!!

I'm almost done my shopping! Dave, glad to hear you are almost ready to go! It will be a wonderful Christmas with the Mouse!!

Joanne, glad you are home safe and sound! Isn't it great when it snows on Main Street! And the Castle is fabulous with the ice-look! We were there when they did the very first test run of that and it was just breath-taking!

Well, I turned another year older on Tuesday and am none the worse for wear! Had a really nice day, especially since Tom was here! He even made me my very own customized and personalized cribbage board - hope you all know about the game of cribbage. I just oved it - but more the effort that went into the idea - and he had some help from DBFF Gail! It will always be a highlight for me forever! And DAVE - you'll be jealous - I got a tiny little book about towel folding - also from Gail - we laughed and laughed as we told Tom the story of you and the "snake"!!

Well, off to finish a few errands before tomorrow's storm! I'll try to hop on later - and tomorrow, I should be home all day getting ready to make cookies!!
