09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Mary sounds like you are having a great time... I love hearing all about it.

Good Morning good friends

Lisa many :wizard::wizard: for you, got to keep it together.

yes it was a lot of Turkey, I still have lots, come and get it.:rotfl::rotfl:

we have a stove with two ovens, a small and a large.
and dh used a roaster, so the roaster had the 24 lb and large oven had a 21 lb

pies were baked the night before, the rest was stove top and microwave.

Greenbean casserole (this is for Dave) and extras stuffing was in the small oven.

spoke with DD she wants to do a Thanksgiving cruise in 2011 or 2012,

Have a great day:dance3::dance3:

Dianne,

That sounds great a cruise with the family. THat will be fun to see the grandkids faces.:) Hope it happens.

We just had the greenbean casserole the other day. I love it. Sorry Dave.:)

Thanks dvc4life. Another reason that we need to get to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival. We keep talking about it but the dates have never worked out. It sounds great. I will have to try the festival if I make it next year. Is there always a Sam Adams set up?

You are very welcome. Yes, you do need to get to EPCOT for Food & Wine Fest. For us, it is the best. We have lots of fun there. And yes, I believe there is Sam Adams every year. This year, thanks to Sue, I tried the festival beer and it was very good. It had a raspberry flavor to it. In fact, I had two! Hope you get a chance to enjoy it your self in the future.

Chris,

We left home at 4 am and took I-57 to I-24 then to I-75. We got into Macon about 7:30 at night. We stay on I-75 not on the bypass. We then left Macon about 5:30 am and got to Disney at noon.

Thank you Mary. We appreciate that.

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it I'm about to lose control and I think I like it yeah, yeah! :woohoo::woohoo:

I have to share - and I know that I'm not in Dave's league cuz he is an awesome bowler - but I haven't bowled this good in a long, very long time. Ok, my average is a 154 so far this year, but tonight I rolled a 156 my first game, which is not that good, and then my second game I rolled a 228 and the third game a 205! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I was smokin! The second game I had like 5 strikes in a row. It is still no 600 series, but close. I have only had one 600 series in the 34 some years I have been bowling and that is when I was pregnant with my oldest DD 17 years ago, but that is ok. I just like to bowl.

But I just wanted to share my excitement from tonight. So how is your bowling going Dave?

Chris-Bowling is going well, I shot 706 last night, a few weeks ago I shot 783. The bad part is I am averaging 230, that is not good for tournaments ;)
NICE JOB on the bowling for you, did you get nervous at all as you were getting close to the end?

Have a good day everyone.

Wow, Dave! That is some great bowling.

Naaaaaaa, I wasn't nervous. I just have to remember to not look at the scoreboard. That is what usually throws me off. But I had a fun time last night. We made lots of money in our money pot though. :)

So are you guys getting ready for your upcoming Christmas Vacation? Bobby has been looking at airfare again and has found some really good prices, but the girls are vetoing him and saying that they want to stay home for Christmas since we were gone at Thanksgiving. I will be looking forward to hearing about your trip once you get back.

Thanks for the congrats Flo. It felt good to do good for a change.

Hey, that's some great bowling, Chris and Dave! I think the highest game I ever had was a 178 or so. But we haven't bowled ever since our car accident in 1976 when DH hurt his back. :sad2:

Wow nice games Chris and Dave, I have not bowled much in a while, but the other day I bowled a 298, on the Wii :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: So does that count.

Morning my Cruising Budies!

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Woke up this morning and we have that white stuff on the ground!:scared1: Oh well I guess no more nice weather.:)

Have a good one.

Chris-Thanks! We haven't really started to pack or think about the gift process, but we are getting close. We will probably ship everything down (including a small tree) to my sister in Orlando and pick it up once we get there. As you know, I would love to stay home as well but I was vetoed this year...lol

Joanne-Thanks, I keep saying that I am not bowling next year, but I keep going back :rotfl2:

Flo-I think I am ready for snow, so go ahead and push it East...:lmao:

Mark & Mary-Have a safe final leg of your trip home!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Good Morning Gang! :goodvibes

Flo - we have that white stuff too! Right now they are saying we could have a big storm come Tuesday. But that is a long way off right now but snow is definitely in the future. :upsidedow

Joanne - to bad you had to quit bowling do to your DH's back. It is fun. But it is getting expensive. I always said when it gets to $10 a night to bowl I'm quitting. Welllllllllllll, that was a few years ago when we hit that mark and we are up to $11.00 a night now. Whacha gonna do though. Don't you leave, like Saturday, for your upcoming trip?

Dianne - way to go on the Wii! That is great fun.

So Dave, did you guys put up a tree and stuff at home since you won't be there for Christmas?

Safe travels to all who have snow on the ground. It was slick around here last night getting home. We have several big hills to go up and down and on the last one the anti-lock brakes were kicking in because it was slick. So my hair is going to be turning more white this year with the oldest DD driving out there on it. Why do we live in the country, down in the river bottom, on a gravel road? Because, it is beautiful most of the time. Just not when we have to drive on bad roads.

Well, have a great day everyone! :flower3:

Greetings everyone - we are home! Boy does it feel good to be home. Don't get me wrong I love vacation and this was one of the best ever but there is just something wonderful about being home after being away!

We had really good traffic the two days and made good time both days. We didn't get much sleep on Wednesday night as they were predicting storms all night (and it did storm) and we didn't know what to expect for the drive the next day. We left a bit later than usual and were beat by the time we got into TN. So much so we called and canceled plans to visit with relatives. Thankfully we got to see them in September and are planning on spending a full day down there on our way back from our July cruise.

For right now I'm just going to enjoy being home and will play catch up tomorrow. :)

To all those going in the next couple of weeks enjoy. To me there is no better time at WDW than holiday time! :santa:

Congrats to Dave & Chris on the great bowling scores!

Chris - I know what you mean about it being slick. This morning when I left for work it was like that. The snow is now gone, but not for long. They are say more next week and it sounds like this time it may stick. Welcome to winter.

Mary - Glad you and Mark are home safe and sound. I know what you mean it is nice to go on vacation but there is nothing like home.

Hey, where is Sue? She is MIA again.

Sue, where are you?????????????????

Chris, I had no idea bowling had gotten that expensive!

And I know what you mean about the gray hairs and kids driving. Plus we used to live in a very hilly community. We'd just hold our breath until the last one got home. And we're absolutely thrilled (big NOT) that we're supposed to be getting 2-4 inches of that slippery white stuff tomorrow. That'll make the 45-mile drive to the airport at 5:30 Sunday morning a real picnic :scared::scared: . I just hope they have the highways plowed.

Mary, glad you and Mark are home safely.

Flo, how is Bolt doing?

Morning Everyone!

I slept in. I got up at 5:45:rotfl:

Chris - We are supposed to have snow starting Monday and through the week. But one never knows. BUt you are right Snow is in the future. We have gotten spoiled with the weather we have been having. I know I am.:)

Joanne - Bolt's ear drum has healed. I am so happy. He has a slight ear infection that he has to go back for Monday and that should be it. You could tell he is getting back to normal.:)

Joanne - Safe travels to WDW. Have a great time.

Dave - Safe travels to WDW for you to. When do you leave?

Next year at this time we will be leaving soon for WDW.

Flo, I'm so glad Bolt is feeling better.

Well, the snow is falling thick and fast here  . I'm just praying that the roads aren't icy in the morning, but since it's snowing now and it's supposed to down into the 20s, I'm getting a little nervous. I don't want to miss that plane!
