Good Morning to all my Friends and Deck 9 buddies!!

It's another pretty day here in Jersey - but VERY chilly. Woke up to 39 degrees with windchill factor of 31 !!! BRRRRRR! But the sky is blue (for now) so I'll take it!

Chris & Bob, have a great time! Bob, if you guys get a chance to relax in the pool, here's a virtual "splash" from me!! Hope the girls have a blast!

Mary, enjoy your getaway weekend! Be good - or not! hehehe

Finally finished making Dustin's curtains for his room and will try to put the finishing touches (pictures, etc.) up this weekend. Ahhh, not to dig into the other room. Hopefully, I'll come up for air soon!! Trying to squeeze in a little free time so we can go see the new "Christmas Carol". Anyone else going to see it this weekend?

We are off on a little weekend escape to celebrate our anniversary.

I said it on the 2010 call in thread on the main forum but it bears repeating. Good luck to those of you calling in tomorrow for SSMC10. I'm sure you will have a great group and will show the new cruisers the ropes.

Wow, I guess with today being call-in for the SSMC10, everyone is over there! Its really quiet here!

Anyway, Good Morning my Deck 9 buddies and all my friends! Happy Saturday! Beautiful day here so far. Have to ruin it and go to a viewing for a friends dad, but then on a happier note, go out to camp to help one of our scouts finish up his Eagle Scout project, so that's very exciting!

I'll hop back on later to see how everyone did with their calling!! Good Luck to everyone once again. Fun begins in 38 minutes.

It's beautiful here too. For a change we're having a pretty weekend; the last several have been very rainy, which is so hard on those folks who only have off on weekends.

Michael and I will be on SSMC10....on hold for almost an hour...we are Cat 6 and in the same stateroom as SSMC09. We are so excited.

Hi Joanne. We used three phones and still did not get through until 11:00 a.m. I did get through around 9 a.m. but somehow got disconnected. Once I got on the phone, I was on hold for almost two hours. I was able to get my picks because they were all sold out. But, I did manage to book 3 Cat. 5 staterooms (7016, 7018, 7516). It will be DH, DS, my parents, DH's mother and brother, and I.

Everything was sold out by mid-afternoon.

Yes, there is a Cohansey in Salem County. It is probably at most 20 minutes from me. I pass signs for it if I take Rt 49 to the beach.

My friend was able to book first thing this morning. She sent me a text message this morning when she got booked. I actually saw her post on the call in thread when I browsed thru this evening. (ToonTown) This is their first cruise also. I already gave her copies of the Navigators I had, told her about the secret porthole rooms on deck 5 and she was able to book one, and started giving her some tips from what I learned from all of you. So much more to tell her though. Figured we would see if she got booked first.

Boy, as fast as this one sold out can you imagine what next year will be like for the DREAM. Although with so many more rooms maybe it will not be as hard. Now, if they can just add lots more phone lines for next years call in day.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. DD and I got the tree up last night. She also decorated her small tree last night and then we put the lights and decorations on the big tree today. We had a blast.

Oh, and we finally picked up the Thomas Kincade Disney pictures today. Still in the boxes but they are onsite. It's been since February since I put the first deposit down on one. I was very lucky to have several gift certificates for the gallery that I had been saving and some birthday money back in February. Now I just have to figure out where I want to put them.

Well, a BIG Congratulations to every one who was able to book yesterday! I was reading along with the thread and alot of people were getting very frustrated with the wait! But it is part of the "experience" - and glad for the happy results for my cruisin' buddies from SSMC09!!

Lisa, the reason I asked about that town is we will be down there today for Dustin's soccer game at 2 pm. I thought if it wasn't too far you could stop and say hello!! How are things going with your Webelos den? Will you guys do a cross-over ceremony in February?

It is a beautiful day here so far - supposed to be in the 60's!! Good day to watch a soccer game - who am I kidding - I'd have to be there no matter what the weather!!

I hope all of the folks that booked on the SSMC10 still stay on this thread to keep in touch with those of us who can't make this one!! I'd really miss you guys!

Okay - it's question time!!!

Has anyone ever received a notice about renovations starting while you are booked on a vacation at a particular resort? And if you have, did you try to change your reservations?

We are supposed to be at Boardwalk from 1/17 to 1/21, with a garden/pool view - more points than standard but less than boardwalk view. Yesterday, got a letter that says the Luna pool (our view!) will be undergoing renovations beginning, guess when, 1/18!! I am sooo upset! This is the first time that Dustin is allowed to bring a friend and had booked that specifically so I could check on them at the pool, but kind of leave them on their own (if you know what I mean). Now it won't even be open!! They say that we can use the Stormalong Bay pool at Beach Club, but that means either a pretty good walk around or a shuttle, neither of which I would let them do on their own!

So should I try to change my reservations? What would you guys do?
