09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

I seem to have some recollection of there being a way to tell fore from aft, but I could be mistaken.

We've had a very interesting Labor Day weekend this year. My mom passed away last year and we've had her condo on the market for a while now. So of course, Friday night we got an offer from people who want to close on 9/22! Doesn't it figure? I told the realtor we'd be on vacation next week, so trying to get all the ducks in a row has been a royal pain, especially since there's a lot of furniture and stuff to get rid of. This week will be a doozy!

You are right it is an anchor. I knew it was red/blue but couldn't remember which was which so google to the rescue:


In the corridors on the ship, just look at the carpet to find out which way the back or front of the ship is - the anchor on the carpet is two-coloured, the red points towards the back of the ship, the blue towards the front.

That is what I was gonna say that the anchor was two colored, one was for the front and one was for the back. Couldn't remember which was which, so thanks for letting us know Mary! Gotta love that Google!

I wondered why I hadn't didn't see any updates to the DVC DCL meet - only to find out that, since I last connected (Aug 12), there is not only a whole new thread, but a fourth as well. No way I am going to catch up there!

Anyway, I just wanted to post this...

We plan to be a 3:00 dis meet at BCV on Sat Sep 12. From there, we are planning to go to Mass - either 05:00 at Corpus Chirsti (most likley) or 06:00 at MQU. Room for 2 or 3 people in the car. If you want a ride, PM me.

Well, DS is getting ready for his first day of school tomorrow. We had told his principal that we were taking him out for a week so she got in touch with his teachers and they put together some work for him to do - oh he was soooo happy!

My daughter's first day is tomorrow too- but her teacher said she'd have to catch up on the work when she returns... but that she could begin working on a special project that the kids will be working on- an introductory wall of themselves.

wow. Ceasar is amazing with dogs. I'd like him to come teach my dog to sit and stay.... but I'm sure he's a little too busy for that!! We just got a dog about a month ago... she's a rescue dog, from a family that really neglected her- didn't feed her, tied her to a rope in the back yard and left her outside all of the time. She had been rescued by a woman that owns a horse farm- and she brought her back to health, socialized her, and now she's a good, sweet dog. Just looking for a little love! she just needs to get sit and stay etc- and she'll be the perfect pet!

I wanted to tell you I am hooked on that word game you sent me.

I'm so tired. I worked all day, and went to my mom's for a cookout. Which didn't last long, my son threw up, and my hubby didn't have a change of clothes... so off we went to home for a bath!! (He's not sick, he's got reflux- or some other digestive issue, and it happens when he gets full but snacks anyway... we are working with Dr's to get it under control...)

Now I'm just waiting for laundry. It seems like the storuy of my life!!
