Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

No plans for us. Just the normal weekend stuff around the house and getting ready for the cruise. Most likely we'll go over the clothes we want to take this weekend and see if any need to go out for dry cleaning etc.

Remember that today is the last day to make any changes to the button spreadsheet. I did get a few additions and one change this week and will confirm those via pm. Remember too that the cut off for buttons is next Wednesday August 12th.

Have a great day and a great weekend everyone!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

We're all going to have fun in the sun right? So don't forget the sunscreen! The sun is stronger down in the Keys and the Bahamas than it is where most of us live. On sea days it can be even stronger if you are out by the pool The cool breeze from the ship moving and the water makes you forget how strong the sun is.

Here's the tip - try the new spray on sunscreens. Especially for the ladies and girls who get their hair braided. Put sunscreen in those rows or you'll be in for a very red, very painful experience! Remember that part of the scalp doesn't see the sun too often.

Don't forget other often over-looked places like your ears and the top of your feet. Protect yourself and you can have fun at play and not be in pain the next day!

Morning!

Have a good weekend?

I plan on driving from Mass. to Michigan early Sat. morning, then driving back on Sunday. It is time for our kids two week stay with Grandma. It is a long drive, but by the time you fly it is about the same time frame. So have a great weekend everyone.

Dave, have a good trip.

I almost forgot, my plans for the weekend are...Muny tonight they have the play Hairspray...last play of the season.

And work on the new front porch,,,we are installing composite decking. Most of the deck is done, then on to the stairs and skirting. That may take a while.:thumbsup2

Dianne- Thanks and enjoy your weekend as well. I know I need to remove the decking from our front farmers porch area and replace it with composite as well. I think I will wait until the fall when it is a little cooler tho. Congrats to DH on the new job!!

Thanks Dave and Flo,,,off to work I go!

Not sure what grade your kids are in but I would take a hundred here and a hundred there. I have three in college :scared1:

Well, I have a jr. in high school and an 8th grader. I couldn't imagine three in college at the same time. Ouch!

No big plans for us this weekend. Taking the girls school shopping tomorrow. Plus it is to be around 96 degrees tomorrow. :scared1: We are finally getting some summer weather around here.

Sunday then, staying home. I need to make some pickles, I should freeze some corn, and do stuffed peppers to put in the freezer, but I don't know. All my stuff from the garden is getting ready to pick and I don't want it to go to waste. I love/hate this time of year. Love all the fresh vegies out of the garden, but I love them too much and eat too much!

Other than that, I would like to just hang out by the pool.

Thats one reason I look forward to going back to Michigan. My mother in law has a nice garden and we can scoop up fresh veggies to bring back with us.:)

That's great that you get so much from the garden and can do the canning and freezing to enjoy them later.
