09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #2

I just realized I'm not listed on the 1st page with my name and location on the ship :sad2: . Should I be worried that I wasn't added to the FE and will not be included in the meet & greet?

Thanks

HI, YOUR ON THE LIST THAT DEBBIE GAVE OUT:banana:

Debbie - so happy DH was able to recover the photos and from what you posted they were more than worth the $40!!!! Beautiful!!!!

Congrats Chris on your :bride:&pirate: - the only way I would have been able to get one is with no one around :rotfl2:!!!!

I spent yesterday working on our FE - I have been teaching myself to sew for about a year now. I have always wanted to and when we rebuilt the house we have room to put the sewing machine so..... here it is...

Not perfect but we like it and DH was so sweet....he is not the creative type so he thinks it is REALLY hard work when I am doing crafty stuff....he made dinner....he is also not so good at cooking but did!!!

After the FE I started working on my pirate outfit. We had found ones to buy - relatively inexpensive for the girls and DH but nothing for me...ummmm...sexy pirate wench???? NOT!!!! so I am working on some pieces to add to a shirt and skirt I have.

Can you tell I am SOOOOOOOO excited :cheer2::dance3:!!!!!

Thank you! Yes...there are over 100 great pictures on the memory card, so even though I'm mad that my mistake cost us $40, I'm glad there was a way to save all the pictures. AND...it's a one time fee, so if I ever accidentally erase pictures again, they can be retrieved.

I love your Fish Extender! It's really cute! Good luck putting together the pieces to add to the shirt & skirt for your pirate costume! I'm sure you'll be able to put something neat together! I don't sew....I wish I could, but I am sooo not crafty like that!

I am hoping to be home for the last sail away - haven't made one yet and DSis is having my nephew's bday party at 3pm - I have thought about bringing my laptop - DSis is one of those people who would have a cow!!!! It has to be about HER!!!!! (I do love her dearly - from my own house!!!:rotfl:)

OK I went and bought some liquor to take and I am going to check a bag with that and the water and our swim suits, etc then pick just it up before boarding the bus to the port. Now I am thinking of ways to keep that glass bottle safe.....anyone have any ideas....????? We also have to pick up our Owner's Locker so I am going to leave the rest of our stuff tagged to go to the ship - think we will be OK????

Go to your nephew's b-day party for a little bit and then tell her you have to leave early because you have "DIS-MISS-SAIL-ITIS" and you're not feeling well so you have to go home. :rotfl2:

I was going to suggest the same things that Ian did for keeping the glass safe. Well, of course all of it except for trusting a canadian with your liquor. :rotfl:

You're on the Fish Extender list...I've got you listed in stateroom 8544 with the following names in your group: MERRISSA, KIM, COREY, ESTER, ZAKIYAH

Well, please send some pixie dust my way in hopes that DH recovers the pictures for me! Thanks!!!!

Debbie, I am glad you were able to get the pictures back. They are beautiful!!!!

Nikki, I love the FE!!!!

LOL I looked at some of those sexy pirate wench costumes and thought to myself, hmmm...maybe :rolleyes1 but definitely NOT on the Disney cruise :lmao:

Chris - Congratulations on the double header :bride: and pirate:

Oh boy, I gotta start packing and don't even know where to begin :scared1:

Terrie :)

One week from today...we will be on the Wonder. I can't wait....:banana::yay::yay:

OK, I have a question. . .. . . . .

Does anyone have an E-Reader??? Or an E-Book thing?

Me and DH were looking at them today and he thinks it would be great. But he is an IT Administrator and is all about technology. Me,not so much. I'm really technically challenged. Still have many problems with my digitial camera. So just wondering if anyone has one or knows about them. He is sick of my books lying all around the house or the boxes of them I have downstairs. But I do reread many of the books I have, several times over.

So just wondering if anybody has one of these e-readers and has experience with them and can tell me about them and about downloading books.

Hi Chris....I have a Kindle and I just love it. I don't miss hardcover books, paperback books. I've had my kindle over a year now. When we go on trips, it fits right in my purse. I will be bringing it with me on the cruise. If you would like to see it...let me know. I have the 2nd generation. Check them out at Amazon.com. If you have any questions, please ask.

Hey everyone. Glad the website is back up and running. It was having problems this morning.

Debbie - sorry to hear about the photos. But oh so glad your DH was able to get them back. From what you have shared it was a beautiful wedding. Your sister looked so pretty. And her dress was gorgeous.

Nikki - Your FE is really great. You did a good job. :thumbsup2 And don't give Ian your rum. He will be singing "Yo Ho, Yo Ho" before he would get on the ship if you did.:rotfl2:

Terrie - first you get out your suitcase! :lmao:

Monika - Yes that would be great to see your Kindle. We have been looking at the Sony ones. I'm just not sure yet because I am so technoligically challenged. :rotfl: But I always have a book with me so it may be just the ticket for me.

Can't wait for the sailaway party this afternoon. :woohoo:

i just left message with janette on her machine . Telling her to call me as soon as she gets in tomorrow. Debbie knows what im talking about. Our seating for 16 two tables of 8.

This is exciting DH just set up the laptop and another monitor outside so we can enjoy the pool and sailaway party and everything this afternoon. So We have the port canaveral camera up on the one screen and I can be on here chatting on the laptop. He is so clever. Guess that is why he is an IT guy. :rolleyes1

so when I look at the Port Canaveral webcam now (2pm) I see 2 ships. Is one of them Disney?:confused3

We are thinking of cancelling our reservation at Teppan Edo cuz they don't take the TIW card. I thought they did but they don't. Got any suggestions for other places to eat?

so what happens? Does the camera move or does the other ship leave and then the Wonder pull up?

Nope the camera stays stationary. The big ship in front will pull out first and then you will be able to see the Wonder leave. Then you have to switch to the Two Palms or Ron Jon or the cocoa beach camera to see it sailing away further. It is quite something to see. You can just feel the anticipation for next Sunday build while watching it sail away.
