Ok that sounds scary So...if we ever get a pool I will make sure the maintenace is not DIY. Yeah, that means a pool guy...now if we could find one that would dress up like Jack Sparrow...

Thanks for the advice!!! Didn't know all of that. Our chlorinator is a seperate "container" of sorts sitting by the filter. We have not had to add yet - ony had the pool 9 days - but I am checking daily esp with the heat wave we have had!!!!

Yup I agree. Well I have my priorities straight. First find a pool guy that will work for rum and dress up like Captain Jack, then ask DH to get us a pool since I don't want him to be harmed during maintenace

OUR AUTOMATIC CHLORINATER IS PROBABLY THE SAME OR SIMILIAR TO YOURS. YOU FILL IT WITH PUCKS AND HAS DIAL FOR LEVEL. BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO DUMP LIQUID CHLORINE IN WATER. WATCH OUT FOR YOUR CLTHES WE HAVE RUINED MANY SHIRTS AND PANTS. ITS VERY STRONG BLEACH.

I have never used liquid when we had a pool before it was the powder stuff - I just remember throwing it in and sniffing in..... now that was YUCKY!!!!
