Wow!!!!! A Christmas cruise, plus it being an Eastern, that would be a dream come true for me. We just loved going on the Eastern Cruise. Have a great time and please be sure to post pictures and such when you get home. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I just found out that as a xmas gift we are going on our first DVC Member Cruise! I'am soooo excited this will be cruise #3 we just cruised the Western Caribbean in October 2009.

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Hi CastMember02 and welcome :goodvibes

3DAN I hope you enjoy your cruise!!!! Merry Christmas :santa:

Glad to know you are ok Marsha!

YIKES Debbie! OMG where did the time go??? I need to get some shopping done!

Went to see The Princess and the Frog yesterday. DH and I LOVED it!!!!

We had our first ever garage sale yesterday too. It was great! I can't believe I've never done that before. It was great to kill two birds with one stone...getting rid of stuff I don't need or use and finding money to buy something I just realized I must have!!! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2300001 I am hoping there will be some available in DTD when we go for New Year's :yay:

Also trying to maintain my sanity this week. I agreed to dog sit some of the "grandkids" while their owners are away at WDW. Adding the two adults to my gang of Golden Retrievers is easy of course but having the two, 12 week old Retriever puppies, mine and her sister, is like adding another 10 Goldens to the house :dance3::dance3:

I am swamped with stuff to do. But, the member cruise is real exciting to me. We did it in 2005. I am really looking forward to it. This Christmas cruise will be special in that we are taking my son's girlfriend with us for her first "real" vacation. She has never seen a cruise ship. AND,,, we are doing MVMCP. It is going to be spectacular to watch and see her reactions. REMEMBER,,, your first trip on DCL????? It was glorious!!! I have never figured out how to post pictures on this board. HMMMMMMMMM. Guess you guys will just have to teach me later.

Good Sunday Morning.

Busy day today here. We hare having a family get together at my Aunt's house around noon for our Christmas. We don't exchange gifts or anything but just get together and spend time with each other. It is nice to see everyone. This year will be different because it will be the first without Grandpa. :sad1:

Then at two our oldest DD has her band concert at her high school. I don't know why it is on a Sunday but it always is so we have that this afternoon.

I am glad that we didn't get the freezing drizzle that they were calling for last night so it should be pretty good to get around today.

Hope everyone has a good day! :flower3:

I really want to see The Princess and the Frog. I am glad that you liked it. What a cute bag. I hope you are able to find it when you go to WDW which will be very soon. :cool1:
Good luck with taking care of the dogs. I could not even imagine having all of those dogs in my house. They are cute as puppies but can be very hyper I'm sure.

I remember my first DCL. I was in awe. And, don't worry we will teach you how to post pics since we want a full report when you come back.

:laughing:Enjoy the party and the concert. It is always hard/sad celebrating the first few holidays after a family member has passed. :sad1: But, it is good to remember the good times with that family member. I always end up smiling at the end just thinking about the time we spent together.

Hello All. I hope everyone had a good day today. Christmas is almost here. Is everyone done with their Christmas shopping? I am not. Plus, I still have to decorate. There are not enough hours in the day.

Hi Marsha! Not a very good day here. This morning we had freezing precipitation and it was nasty out. Lots of icy conditions and our schools were cancelled again.

I think that I am mostly done with my shopping. Gotta check that list again! But I still have wrapping to do. As far as decorations, I'm good to go there. I love having the house decorated and usually have it done the day after Thanksgiving. But since we were gone this year, I had it done before we left. ;)

Good luck to you getting yours done!

Sitting here in my car waiting for the kids to get out of church choir practice catching up on the posts. Wow this month is flying. I hope this season finds everyone healthy and taking time away from all the hustle and bustle to celebrate the real meaning for the season and enjoy family and friends! It has been crazy these past couple of weeks as I work in a low SES school and this is not a fun time for a lot of my kids. Trying to keep them involved and have some fun as well. Gave them an early Christmas ( i know not correct for school system) holiday gift as I walked in today and changed my quiz to a seasonal activity. Included all the holidays that are being celebrated at this time of year and the kids had to research them and do a power-point. Man did they get into it. It was a good day! They also know I am a disney nut so i told them there would be some bonus questions to add to their power point grades so pulled out disney pictures and they had to draw their favorite disney character and explain why it is their favorite. Enjoyed watching High School kids being kids again. It was fun. Education has gotten away from fun stuff so thought I would take a chance and bring fun back in the classroom. Sorry to ramble on but it was one of those days to remember! Have a great rest of your week!!!:smickey:

That is wonderful what you did. I think it is a shame that the holidays can't/aren't celebrated anymore at the schools. And it sounds like your kids really enjoyed it. It is teachers like you that the kids will remember because of what you did. So a big ol' KUDOS to you!

Good Morning everyone. Sorry been away, things have been very busy with my days with finishing up the semester of teaching at Ivy Tech State Community College here in Indiana. I am off work starting Friday the 18th and don't have to be back at Chrysler until January 4th. Woo Hoo!!! :cool1:

Looking forward to being able to post and talk with everyone online during the next couple of weeks, my wife still has to work so I have the house almost all to myself, DD home from college for the first week.

I am still adding people to the website and am looking at adding more information to the site over the next 2 weeks as well. If I did not get your information up please let me know as I did have a system crash two weeks ago and I think I am still not recovered from that completely.

Eveyone have a wonderful Tuesday!!! :)

This year will be different because it will be the first without Grandpa. :sad1:

 I know how you feel...this is our first Christmas without my Grandma (on my mom's side). She was my last grandparent. It's really sad...my mom is having a difficult time dealing with it so I'm trying to offer her all the support I can right now. I just had a distant relative on my dad's side tragically killed in a car accident this past Friday. And my husband's uncle is expected to pass away any day now. It's just not turning out to be a very merry Christmas on any side of my family this year! I just have to keep reminding myself to be thankful for my family and treasure each moment with them.

I just found out that as a xmas gift we are going on our first DVC Member Cruise! I'am soooo excited this will be cruise #3 we just cruised the Western Caribbean in October 2009.

WOW! What an exciting Christmas gift to receive. I had a boss once who took his entire family to WDW for their Christmas presents. I would love to do that for my kids when they get older...right now they still expect Santa to bring them presents under the tree!

I'm pretty much done...just have to buy a couple of gift cards for those hard to buy for in-laws. :lmao:

My daughter's school still calls it "Christmas Break" and they had their "Christmas Program" where all the kids sang today, and on the paper they handed out at the program it said "Merry Christmas" on the back. I was really excited to see that! It was interesting, too...at the Christmas program, a couple of grades sang songs about Hanakkuh (Sp?)...how nice that they did that!! Anyway, about what you wrote that you did with your class...you sound like a teacher that every parent would love for their child to have!

Hola everyone! I have been MIA for a few weeks now, with a visit to Canada, terrible flu and preparations for Christmas, and am finally finding a few minutes to catch up! Hope everyone is well, and still excited about our cruise...I know I am!

Question - I know I was told when booking the cruise that I would receive a confirmation letter in a couple of weeks....well, it's been more than a couple of weeks, and I've received nothing! Has everyone else received their confirmation letters??

Anyhow, hope everyone is having fun planning for the holidays! :santa:

kjd469 - I got my confirmation letter within a couple of weeks. Did they give you a confirmation number when they had you on the phone? I hope there aren't any problems with your reservation!!!

Yes, they gave me a confirmation number....and I just got my Credit Card bill today and it was definitely charged...maybe I should give them a call and ask them to resend the written confirmation...must have gotten lost in the mail (which is not unusual here in Mexico;))

I hope today was a better day than yesterday. I would rather have snow than ice.

I still have to shop for DH. I do most of my shopping online and DH is easy to shop for since he has a wishlist. It takes the surprise out of it but he does not care as long as he gets something from his wishlist.

Tonight I did manage to start decorating the Christmas tree.:banana:

You sound like a wonderful teacher. It is hard to get kids motivated and keep them motivated. :thumbsup2

I saw you are in MD. If you do not mind me asking, in what part of MD do you live. I live in So. MD.

I too want to go to WDW for Christmas one year. DS is just starting to figure out Christmas. If you ask him why we celebrate Christmas he will say (sometimes) it's Jesus' birthday. He now knows who Santa is. He has told Santa that he wants Thomas & friends for Christmas. That boy can name every train on Thomas & friends. He loves looking at the lights. When he sees the decorated houses he says "Look Mommy/Daddy, Christmas!"

I'm pretty much done...just have to buy a couple of gift cards for those hard to buy for in-laws. :lmao:
 I know what you mean.

Definitely, give them a call. Have you also checked your reservation online at the DCL website?
