Hi everyone!

Well, we are in the middle of a major winter storm here in the midwest. We are under a Winter Storm warning right now with a Blizzard warning going in to effect from 9:00 tonight until 6:00 tomorrow night. Yuk!!!!!! They are calling for 10-14 inches of snow here before the storm is over. Then the wind is supposed to kick up and blow the snow around tomorrow.

Everything around our State is/or has closed for the day. Alot of businesses have also closed for tomorrow already too. I work at our County Courthouse and they closed at 3:00 today. Not sure about tomorrow though. We'll see.

Stay safe out there everybody!

Chris, that is a lot of snow. Be carful if you have to go out. I hope you and your family stay safe and warm. Part of MD is under a winter weather advisory, another part is under a winter weather warning and the part that I am in is under a flash flood warning. Our winters where I live usually consists of ice, sleet, and freezing rain.

Thanks Marsha. Right now we have gotten anywhere from 9-16 inches of snow. The wind chills are around -17 below 0. We are definitely staying home today. Where we work has closed for today and so has our girls' school. In fact, most of the state is closed. No travel is recommended anywhere. I don't even plan on going outside today. The news just said that it is a pretty good chance we will have a white christmas this year now. Because the temperatures are not expected to warm up much between now and then. Oh, well.

To bad you get the ice. I hate ice, sleet and freezing rain. I'd rather have snow any day over ice.

Thanks Terrie. And yes, a blizzard is a bit daunting. But we are staying home today.

And yes, we watched Prep and Landing last night. That was a cute show. I'm sure we will watch it again.

Chris - Glad you are safe and warm. That is a lot of snow. Hope there is no more snow in the upcoming forecast. Thankfully, we just got rain. There is another storm forecasted for this weekend.

Had a pretty good day here. Despite the cold weather. Schools were cancelled again today but we had to go to work. Which was ok because not many people were out and about. I think they said we got 15 inches of snow and they hadn't cleared all the streets in town so it was a mess getting around. It should be better by tomorrow though.

And tomorrow me and my sister are going shopping. So it has been a very short week for me.

Well, I need to go watch Survivor. Have a good night!

Well, here in south Florida the weather was hot...again. I'd love some cool weather...especially now in December! I'm hoping there will be a cold front or something around Christmas There's just something not right about opening up Christmas presents in a tank top and flip flops

Just thought I would say Hi to everybody. I am still around. We are preparing to go on the Magic for the eastern cruise on Dec. 19-26. Real busy. Bananas will brighten the day.

Hi everyone! It's finally the weekend!!

Chris - I hope you're all doing ok despite the awful cold and crazy snowfall you got!!! We had wind chills of -15 on Thursday....the actual temp was 12 degrees. I know it's winter time, but it usually doesn't get THAT cold until January / February!

Terrie - I hope it cools off there (just a little) for the Holidays. We've gone to WDW a couple times in December, and it was just weird walking around in t-shirts looking at Christmas decorations!

Bill - I'm jealous!! But, I still hope you enjoy your cruise!!!!!

Marsha - I hope that flash flooding missed you...this is NOT the time of year to be having flash floods! Not that any time is good, but in the winter when it could all freeze is even worse! Because then it has to thaw at some point and you're dealing with flooding again!

Well, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. And just a reminder...less than two weeks until Christmas. It's almost crunch time if you haven't started your Christmas shopping yet!

The flash floods did miss us and I am thankful for that. The forecast is calling for a wintry mix Saturday into Sunday. I am hoping that it will not be too bad since we will be traveling back home from NJ on Sunday.

It was a busy week for me at work. This time of the year as well as the end of the fiscal year is always busy. I am so thankful for this short time away.
