Okay...I had to go check to see if we got our cabin assignment since all of you seem to have gotten yours. I checked, I checked again, I checked again again...and couldn't believe the upgrade we got!!!!!

We went from cat 12 standard inside stateroom to a cat 8 or 9 Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO!

We are in cabin #7514 right outside the E elevators in the front of the ship. The Cruise God's were smiling down on us!!! I'm so happy I could just cry!

Wow. I can't stop giggling. I'm scared that I'm dreaming?

I hope I'm right too. Sombody else check out cabin 7514 and tell me if I'm right or wrong. Either way...I'm happy just to be going!

I've been a bit erratic at keeping up. We've had a bit too much happening lately.

At least the 8th is rapidly approaching!

If I can't get DW on board soon I'm afraid she'll pop. I've seen it before and it's really messy...

Not as lucky as fltink. We are CAT 12, deck 2 #2009 all the way forward. Bummer. Not to sound like a spoiled brat, but I'm definitely disappointed. Oh well, guess my magical upgrade karma had to run out sometime! (I've had such good luck in the past getting free upgrades) This time I'm getting exactly what I'm paying for. fltink says it's still possible the room could still be reassigned right up until sailing. Christine's parents are in #2576 center. I wish we were either closer to them (which I realize is not possible with a cat 12) or on a different deck entirely.

Last cruise we were on deck 6 and I really liked that location. It was super easy to take the stairs up or down a few decks to the major decks like 3,4 & 9. Now I'll have to take the elevator up 7 decks, because seriously, I'm not climbing 7 decks worth of stairs!

Sorry stina! Here I am all giddy about upgrade, and you didn't get a great one too. It doesn't matter; all of us will be partying outside the cabins anyway. Cabin is just to sleep in. And perhaps you will still get a better cabin assignment.

Ok, in order to sound less bratty I've decided that one of the UPSIDES to a cat 12 deck 2 forward cabin is: straight elevator ride up to Quiet Cove Pool. Signals bar here I come!

Also, because our cabin is below the nightclubs I suppose it is lucky that we are late night people. If I was the type to go to bed at 8pm, I sure would be in trouble!

Sorry you didn't get upgraded. Once onboard you'll forget all about it and have a great time. Still a chance of getting upgraded.

I consider myself a nightowl and we go to bed about 9pm.

Thanks for your condolences... I mean support, Bill! Yes, there's still some hope that we could get upgraded. Ultimately it doesn't matter, we'll be on the ship and having FUN FUN FUN and that's what important. I've doled out plenty of this wisdom so I should start heeding it myself!

So far MamaKoss is leading the way with most dramatic upgrade. That's very cool! Definitely a dream come true!

We are still trying to figure out what Excursions we are going to go on.

Any suggestions for Grand Cayman and Cozumel?

I think we are just going to do our own thing in Key West.

Hopefully both Grand Cayman and Cozumel will be there post-(soon to be) Hurricane Dean.... anyone have any thoughts on any alternate ports DCL might choose if either gets hit hard?

I'm with you on that one Tinkerbeltris!!! No bad thoughts. To quote the starfish in "Finding Nemo", "find a happy place, find a happy place."

I'm excited about doing the western, but where ever we go, we'll make it fun! That's what a vacation is all about. I'm most excited to be on the ship. Relaxation, relaxation, pina colada, relaxation, body massage, relaxation....you get the drift? hehe

Besides, I'm a woman of faith and I believe the Big Guy upstairs will be watching over all of us and protecting us. Amen.

As for anniversaries my wife & I just celebrated our 35th & will be further celebrating at Palo's with Milton & Michelle.Good luck on your operation DNJLAW77. To SSOCEANLOVER: Bill, it was my wife's birthday listed the same day as your wife's but that was an error. Her's is in November, but we just might celebrate on board anyway!

Good thing you didn't surprise her on September 13th. That would have REALLY been a surprise.!

Anybody collect the Disney pins. Last cruise we bought about a dozen. Haven't seen them since. Probably wind up buying more this cruise!

Hopefully it won't be too evasive. Just fix that baby and get on with the vacation. Oh, here's a bright thought; have you ever seen Jim Ingersall's skit on Vicadin land? It is absolutely hilarious. Vicadin and Bahama Mama's. You got to see it. Of course before you go into surgery; wouldn't want you busting your stitches laughing!

Our DD's have been collecting pins since the first time we went to WDW in 1998. They have a disney lanyard they keep them on. They will probably do some buying and trading this trip as well.
