I always thought it stood for Disney Husband, Disney Daughter, Disney Son, Disney Wife, Disney Partner.
Thanks. I figured it out after I sent that message. DUH~ on my part. I have butterflies in my stomach because I am so excited about this cruise! YEA!

Thank you so much for the information. I do not drink at all, but my DH does, but neither of us drink Champagne, or wine. (he's all about the beer) And I think the rest sounds overpriced, and where would I find time to do all that when I have excurssions, and plan to hang out with all you fun people. Thanks for the info.
My DH and your DH are gonna get along just fine! Mine is all about the beer as well ... only problem is that nice tab at the end of the cruise! Goodness, I didn't think he drank THAT much!

Hahaha. Yeah I'm gonna get him the beer mug and he can lug that thing around everyday and get as many refills as he wants. I started wondering about that tab at the end as well. Hahaha

Lois, pick out whatever you think works for leis, we all trust you! No matter what we'll all look good AND be able to spot each other.

Last cruise my DP got us the Bon Voyage celebration package for our room. It was a surprise and quite sweet of her. I STILL have the decorations in my house because darn it, for that money I am going to reuse them! I think the celebration was around $40 and we got our room decorated with Bon Voyage signs and some Mickey decorations and we also got a cake, but as I recall we were so stuffed from cruise food we only had like one slice of cake. It was a nice surprise but for the $ I probably wouldn't do it again.

Jenn... love your reference to "cruise math"... way too funny! Cruises are definitely delayed gratification but when it comes to Disney it sure it worth the wait.

My DH still has his DCL tall beer mug from our last cruise. We're going to pack it in our luggage. Hey, who knows? Maybe we won't have to pay for a new mug! Just the refills! That would be awesome!

What looks like a tremendous underground steam explosion blew open the street at 41st & Lexington Ave a short while ago. I don't know if the rest of the country is getting live coverage but NY certainly is. Not terrorism authorities say. One reported injury so far, but people reported windows breaking & debris flying into windows as high as 27 stories. Traffic & trains all disrupted. This comes after violent storms, flooding & a tornado on Long Island this morning.

Oh m y GOD!!! We have family in New York, New Jersey, and Vermont. I have not heard anything yet. But hopefully no more injuries. And a tornado? What the heck is going on? The weather is really weird right now, I had to work in San Francisco yesterday and coming home it was actually raining, very strange. Well I hope you and yours are safe.

2 serious injuries, 10 not critical. A 20" steam main erupted spewing 1000 degree hot steam. It's still spewing steam 90 minutes later. The local utility unable to shut down the steam quickly for fear of it causing another nearby steam to rupture. The steam mains supply power to air conditioning & hot water to commercial buildings in Manhattan. Asbestos contamination of the area is also a concern.

That's horrible. I hope you all are o.k. I will have to get on the phone and call the family to make sure everyone is o.k. My DH has some cousins who work in the financial area in N.Y. Gosh how scary. Hopefully they get it shut off very soon. Still haven't heard anything over here on T.v. but then again we are in Cali.

Here's the question. I was looking to order the leis and discovered that the multi colored one are sold out. However, I found light green ones for 7.95 doz plus shipping. They are stimulated silk. Let me know if this would be ok with everyone so we can get them ordered before they sell these out. I want to order them this week end. Thanks Lois

Were getting closer!!!!
!

Lois can you post that web connection... I have looked through part of the Orintial trade site and did not see Just.. lime green leis. some made of ferns some that are BIG mulit colored leis:scared1:
Mary said she would like pink leis due to that is the color of the first ones we recieved. (joking)... We would go for the group choice...
Let me know..:yay:

There was live news coverage on cable around 7:30 p.m. tonight. We were eating dinner at the Winking Lizard and I saw it on the multiple tv's they have in the bar area. The hole it made was huge! A red truck or SUV was in the hole! Didn't get to hear the mayor talk though. Hope everyone is okay.

Oh My ! How weird can it get in NY ? WoW... Keep us updated! Ive heard NOTHING!

a little OT... we hit page 100 !:cool1:

Update on NYC explosion. One man died of a heart attack who was near the explosion site, about 20+injured-2 in critical condition. A large area of midtown is blocked off. The danger now is asbestos contamination as the steam mains are wrapped in asbestos. The firemen & rescue workers have to leave their clothes at the site to be decontaminated or destroyed. Many apartment dwellers had to evacuate or were not allowed to return home & may not be until the level of asbestos in the air is measured. Many people heard the explosion, saw the billowing smoke (which was as tall as the Chrysler skyscraper) and thought it was 9/11 all over again. Fortunately at the exact moment of the explosion, the street was unusually empty of traffic for that time of day. A very frightening time for those in Manhattan.

We are praying for all who were affected by that explosion sgtslovak. Thank God it wasn't terrorism! In 2001, we had just returned from WDW vacation when 9/11 occurred. It took me 3 years to gain enough courage to get on an airplane again. Still nervous about it, but I can't stop my life out of fear. Keep us updated on you New Yorkers.

.....we've reached 100 pages worth of posts! Woo-hoo! AND, we're at 51 days til SAILAWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray!!!!:cool1:

Hey, has anyone had any luck grabbing a Palo cancellation? I try all the time and haven't gotten anything! I'm gonna have to have my racin' shoes on to get to Rockin' Bar D, I guess!!!!!!!!!!

My DH still has his DCL tall beer mug from our last cruise. We're going to pack it in our luggage. Hey, who knows? Maybe we won't have to pay for a new mug! Just the refills! That would be awesome!

My DH broke his mug after the last trip so we will be buying a new one for him. We will also be bringing some aboard.

I too think I will be running to Rockin D to see about a possible Palo ressie.:yay:
But if we don't get one we don't get one. :scared: I am determined to let things go and go with the flow when this holiday starts!:rotfl2:
