09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

Hi everyone,

I've been a little absent on the boards lately. We booked the April Transatlantic, but have cancelled and resceduled to go on the Panama Canal cruise next January. Geoffrey was bummed, but there were too many things popping up that could be potential problems and who wants that when you are going on a 14 day cruise.

We haven't booked a cruise on the Dream, but we do have a 7 day eastern booked for Thanksgiving 2011.

On the homefront, I have been training for the Disney Goofy (1/2 marathon on Saturday and full marathon on Sunday). I'm beginning to think that I am Goofy for taking on this challenge. Today I was supposed to run 16, but I ran out of time before work and only made it 15. We will see what the next few weeks bring.

By the way Geoffrey is supposed to be running with me and he hasn't taken a step outside!!!:confused3 He turned 40 a few weeks ago and I guess is not feeling his age and thinks he can just hop on out there. I'm sure he will do just fine.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone!

So who's booked another DCL trip? Anyone on the Dream?

We are!

Happy belated birthday to Geoffrey and good luck on the Disney Goofy (yes, definitely sounds goofy to me)! I'm sure the Panama Canal cruise will be awesome!

We're booked for the Dream around the same time you'll be on the Magic. I got some grief from my boss about planning my trips so far in advance because of work and stuff so I figured around holiday time is always safe to take off. We're on the 11/27/11, I figured we'd might as well go for Asher's birthday (he'll turn 3 DURING that cruise so we pay only taxes for him and he should still be able to go to the clubs). :wizard:

Merry Christmas

I'm still trying to figure out how to talk DH into 2 trips in 2011. I want to be aboard the Wonder April 27 Repositioning from LA to Vancouver and then enjoy a 4-Day birthday cruise aboard the Dream in December. :confused3

Hi everyone!

We have finally made up our mind and we are going on the May 31 Alaskan cruise. The children don't know yet, but we will tell them at Christmas. They will have a surprise, but it won't last as long as the last one did.

What is everyone else doing?

We just booked the June 27th Double Dip. We really need a vacation and 2 days in CC sound wonderful!!

The group is very small on the DIS boards but I am sure we will have fun even in a small group.

Hope everyone is doing well. If you are visitng WDW, don't forget to stop by Rafiki's Planet watch at Animal Kingdom and say hi to Steve:cool1:

Steve, Diana and Emily

We still haven't booked our 2011 cruise. I'm still looking at The Dream, but rather than waiting until my bday I'm thinking a B2B in September would be fun. Still over a year away :goodvibes

idrivealumina and my family are all cruising together in just over a month... only a 3 day but better than nothing

Wow, I had no idea that this thread was still going!!! Mike and I are cruising on the Wonder next month, then we have another 4-night booked on the Dream for Sept. 2011. The whole crew's going with us on the Dream--Mike, myself, Gayle, Gayle's husband Allen, their son Dustin, daughter Brandi and Brandi's boyfriend Brandon. Gayle and Brandi were the ones with us on the Magic last year. We're trying to talk my brother-in-law into going with us, but he works at the Corvette plant in Kentucky and can't really ask off for anything that far in advance.

I can't believe it's been almost a year since we all cruised together. It was definitely one of the best trips ever for us!

Yes, some of us refuse to acknowledge that the trip is really over. I'm still hoping for a reunion cruise

Just popped in to say G'day everyone :goodvibes

The kids and I are off on the Wonder on 3 October and can't wait!!!!!We didn't organise that very well, we should have booked earlier and joined you guys! What date are you going? I have some friends going on the 26th Sept.

Mike and I are doing the 9/19 cruise. Only 37 days to go...Not that I'm counting or anything!!

Hey everyone! How are things in your neck of the woods? Headed to the World along with a little cruise after that. I expect it to be a great time! Will let you all know.

 We're headin' to Jamaica for our 20th Anniversary (9/3/2014). Anyone want to come help us celebrate?

We'll be aboard the Aug. 30, 2014 Fantasy cruise. It's a 7-day western, so a lot of familiar ports, but I just couldn't pass up being in Jamaica on our anniversary. Not sure if we’ll do a plantation tour, a romantic river raft, Dunn Falls... or maybe the Jamaican Bob Sled ride through the rain forest.
