Hey Hoagie Pie.
We are a homeschool family! I have two DDs, ages 14 and 10, but younger DD will turn 11 on the cruise. :cool1:
We are starting school this upcoming Monday. The public schools around here start August 25. We are starting two weeks early so that we can take the two weeks off for our Disney vacation (cruise and parks).
How old is your DD?

I don't mind combining the cruise names - Heck...I don't care what we call ourselves....we are going to be on the boat in 28 days!!!!:cool1: That is sooo cool. It has taken me 10 years to make this trip....I am getting sooo excited.

The only question I have is .... is too long to fit on the bracelet? If not, let's go for it!!!

Our children go to a local private school, but I tutor two girls that are homeschooled. I used to teach 2nd grade, but was offered this opportunity and jumped at it since I only work in the morning. This year they are in 6th grade.

I really want to do the jeep thing in Cozumel, but since DS isonly 7, I am thinking of booking it directly as they donot have the age restriction, except for the snorkel at the beach. We are doing the shipwreck and reef snorkeling in GC. I can't believe how fast it is arriving. We have a countdown going on here. My co-workers are also teasing me, but so is DH.

You are all so sweet - I appreciate it! I just have one DD age 12. She just celebrated her birthday last week. She is soooo excited!

Hi Everyone - we booked the cruise last night and we are so excited. I have not read all the posts, but I will! :cool1: We are from Lakeland, FL and this will be our 6th cruise. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome to the cruise....

Make sure you read the first post as it has the meeting time and location

Michael

Hoagie Pie - Welcome and let us know who is in your party so we can add it to our FE lists.

I really don't care what the cruise name is, so whatever is decided is fine with our family.

Okay, it is Sandi (41) Darrell (40) and Abby (12). Does anybody have a great beach excursion for Cozumel - any recommendations. I was in Cozumel last year and only got off the boat for dinner. The water is so warm in the Gulf. It is just wonderful. My husband and daughter are boogie boarding at the beach today.

I was a teacher in public school for seven years. I taught 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. After teaching 8th grade I decided to homeschool. :rolleyes1

Hoagie Pie, your DD will not be lonely! My DD turns 12 on the boat:) And Austin is 11 (beachlover101's DD)

Disneyminnie, haven't mentioned before, but I tutored before the dd's went to school, mostly public school kids, but also a few homeschoolers....DD's kill me when they think I am wrong when helping with homework...lol..funny how kids think their parents don't know anything...even when people pay them because they do!:cutie:

hoagie pie, we (all 4), disney minnie, and beachlovers DD are going to Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel...

welcome rlreags and p.laverty:dance3: We are filling up the boat!!!

We are going to Nachi Cocom for our Cozumel day.

We booked it through this site: http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/CozumelBeachBreak.htm
Here are pictures of Nachi that someone posted on You Tube:

DH and younger DD are doing the dolphin swim at Grand Cayman since that is her actual birthday. She wanted to swim with the dolphins for her birthday.

Preston left town yesterday and I have spent the last two days packing our pre-cruise and cruise bags. I hope to have eveything back from the dry cleaners and everything ironed by Friday. Preston will be home on Friday and the goal is to have everything packed and at our storage unit until our departure!:cool1:

Preston is the same way. I actually taught at his school for 9 years. When he was in second grade we fought everytime he asked me for help with homework because "I was doing it wrong!" - it was the same curriculum that I taught!!!

I'm impressed with people that can teach their own children. I'm sure it has a lot to do with personalities.

Thanks for the You Tube! I loved it! We will book excursions either tonight or tomorrow. Abby will be so excited that there will be kids her age. Thanks! Also, you guys are giving "me" - I cannot speak for other people, way too much credit. I have patience, but believe me, I still get questioned, but that just leads me into another valuable life lesson or school lesson. That is funny when you mention personalities because my daughter's personality is just like my husband's (and I can tolerate him - ha ha!:lmao:) so maybe that has something to do with it.

FE totals - I now have 36 adults and 21 children. Do you have the same numbers? I just want to make sure that I haven't missed anyone since I am ordering my treats on Monday.

the personality thing...me and dd11 are one in the same....lol...she was given the option to homeschool after 5th grade, then last year, our 'almost private' (resort town, exclusive) public elementary school, decided to keep our 6th graders in elementary! uggh!!! she held us to our promise and had planned to stay home starting this year, double uggghhh!!! We are VERY close, and this would drive us both crazy, I know...DH finally said no, not when she has this great opp. for 6th grade...but she can choose next year. Her friends talked her into staying, and she is SOOOO completely excited about school, and never wants to homeschool, lets see what happens next summer, lol....(btw..DH is a high school coach, and is right there in the mix with the kids.....)

OK, Disneyminnie, I got 36 adults, but 22 kids. I know your number is probably right tho, is ibela bringing baby? I also have idrivealumina with a baby? Did I miss something, lol...maybe it was somebody leaving baby at home..we have a good group, can't wait to finish our goodies:cutie:

disneyminnie, I am just keeping you on your toes...:goodvibes

sorry, you were correct. I was reading idrivealumina incorrectly...I had them with 3 kiddies, they are travelling with only 2...sorry:angel:

36 adults, 21 kids

now we are ready to start...:dance3:

So, are we finished adding people or waiting until the end of the weekend?

I think I said this before - Since I made a chart, I will gladly assign days to everyone, so the FE's will be spread out during the cruise. Is that ok with everyone? (I will put families together)
