She said the kids didn't want to stay in the clubs, so they were with them the whole time. I said, "well did you go to any of the family dance parties or game shows?" She said, "no the kids didn't want to do any of that."

Sha also said, "well one day we went to Nassau and that was okay, then we went to the Disney Island and that was fine, and the next day we didn't go anywhere!"

The funny thing is we ran into some friends of hers, who'd I'd never met but are DCL freaks like me. The wife said, "Pat I told you exactly what to do! You didn't listen to me!"

As Alice would say "curiouser and curiouser"

Yep. I have some friends who went on a DCL cruise with similar results. They said it was okay, but didn't remember any thing about what was going on around them. When I questioned them further I found out that they stayed in the room most of the time. They had a veranda, and I guess they never read their Navigator. In fact, they didn't seem to remember the Navigator. :confused3 ???? Maybe they treated it as junk mail.???? They did sit on the veranda a lot. No excursions either. Anyway, I started to wonder if they had been on DCL at all.:lmao: But, it's okay, as long as that's what they enjoyed doing. To this day I am afraid to get a cabin with a veranda. It might be a distraction and I want to be out and about while I am still able. LOL. Too much to do & not enough time.

:rotfl: I laughed outloud when I read that. Did they not know their itinerary? Where did they think they were going on the last day? An island called "At Sea"? It sounds like they didn't take advantage of all the ship had to offer. We needed more At Sea days to explore the ship. That is one of the main reasons we are going back! To each their own.

Exactly! I didn't know what to say to that!

Funny thing is when we were in the Canary Islands she was all about going out on jeep trips and dolphin/whale watching trips.

I think I should download some Navigators and school her on all the things she could've been doing!

I believe on most if not all excursions you have up until 3 days before the start of the cruise to cancel.

I am not sure about the new rules, but we once cancelled the evening before, with no problems. Of course there were extenuating circumstances. Angie had a kidney stone. Probably one of those 'chocolate' stones. :lmao:

And, I think we cancelled one before that, on the morning of the excursion. Anyway, I don't think you'll have a problem if you have to cancel. I am not sure if the rules have changed.

Whew! Yes, we got back in. Actually, DrHug got back in. He booked dinner at Palo Wed, brunch Mon (Sun not available) which will be canceled if the private room for Sunday comes thru. It should since I faxed the request in early Feb and I doubt they had many requests prior to that! We are doing the Butterfly Farm at St Maarten and just the Island Tour at St Thomas. Taking it a little slower this time with the 2 babies and my 82 year old mom. :goodvibes So now DrHug is very happy because "he got to participate for a change!" :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: Guess who does the planning around here.

DD Sweatpea also got her fishing excursion at St Maarten and her Palo Wed night and brunch Mon same time as us. I think we are set.

I did send off an email to DU when I first could not get in and my goodness! Kelsie was as work, looked at my ressie and emailed me back in about 2 minutes! They give such good service! I thought I would have to wait until Monday to get it straightened out. LOVE DU!!
AND "Thank You Kelsie"..........:flower3:

Hi! My name is Dennis and I live with a chocoholic. I am an enabler. ;)

 Happy Anniversary from us too!

(Wendy, you're very observant!)

Angie sounds like a great woman from all our chats on here. I can't wait to meet her in December!

 Bill and I still celebrate our first date.

Bill Update:

He just checked into the Yacht Club and is now on his way to Epcot. He said the line for the Magical Express was outrageous. So, he just took a taxi. Has anyone ever used the Magical Express?

And I just noticed that you met your chocoholic 40 years ago today:love:

Happy Anniversary!:cheer2:

Aww! Thank You! :goodvibes
I was 7 and she was 2....;) :lmao: Well, that's how old we feel now anyway..... It has been a wonderful 40 years. Our first kiss was on the bridge in front of the castle. It was a quick one. I just had to "Kiss de Girl". I was in uniform, back from my first tour in VN. She made me feel like the handsome prince.:cloud9: It was Wonder and Magic from then on......A true Cinderella story. princess:

I liked the Magical Express. Once they started loading it went very quickly.

Thank You. AND, she is great. Sometimes I can hardly believe how blessed I was. The right place at the right time.

When I first saw her she was riding the Carousel. My buddies and I were in line. I winked at her as she went by. I didn't even know she saw me wink until later. She 'magically' showed up on the Small World ride, sitting in front of me, which is where we met. AND No, I did not follow her.

Anyway....That is why we love Disney so much. :cloud9:

Right now ANgie is :laundy:
