I've been very impressed with Bill. When I first met him, he would never have thought of drinking a diet soda or eating vegetables. He has come full circle and wouldn't think of drinking a regular soda now and is more adventurous when it come to trying new food. He loves sushi now! However, I am still the only one in my house that will eat brussels sprouts. :lmao:

Brussel Sprouts - YUCK! And I LOVE veggies - oh and sweets, and salty, and......:rotfl:

Bill is excited for the football season to start. He is a little bummed he'll be out of town for the Cowboys' season opener on Sunday. Poor guy, he'll be at WDW. He may go to the ESPN Zone near the Boardwalk. He's staying at the Yacht Club. Also, he is anxious to get his new tv and surround sound. When he gets back from WDW he is getting a monstrous 60 something " or 70" tv. All I know is when I saw it at Fry's (Electronics/Appliances/Computers and anything under the sun store) it was big and a Mitsubishi. All I care is that I have a tv to watch my CSI and I am happy. He has his A/V boards and I have the DISboards. :goodvibes

He's also anxious to watch Monday night football on the big Dumbotron.

You sounds like my kids. I'll be cooking MY brussels sprouts and the kids without trying to be funny ask, "what is that smell?". :lmao:

:lmao: When my oldest GKs were little I made brussel sprouts and I told them that I only made enough for me and Grandpa since I was sure they would not like them. ;) Well, both insisted they really, really wanted some. I told them ok, but Grandpa and I love them so I don't want them wasted so you can each just have one to try. They ate the one and asked for more just to prove to me that they DID like them. :lmao: :rotfl2: They then ate a couple everytime I made them...just to show me....:rotfl: Now they really do like them. They are ages 17 and 14 now. I was not trying to get them to eat them, I really only made a few, but was amazed at how that worked. ;)

We did watch football on the Dumbotron one night.:cheer2: It is very, very cool! :cool2: I want to catch the New Orleans game tonight. And the Oregon State Beavers should be playing right now. Guess I will miss most, if not all of that since I am at work. I can listen to it on the radio on the way home though. Love it, love it!! :cheer2:

My DIL and I love brussels sprouts. The rest of the gang won't go near them. We do try to eat healthy, though. We eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and not a whole lot of meat. We've always eaten like that, it's just what we like. I've never gained weight on a cruise, but Jim gained enough weight on our first cruise that he couldn't close the pants he left out for the last morning and had to leave the ship in his bathing suit!

I tried to register on cruisecritics.com yesterday, but my computer wasn't cooperating and kept shutting down. I'll have to try again soon.

That sounds great. I've come a long way too, when I met my wife, potatoes and carrots were the only thing I would eat. I wouldn't even use ketchup on my burgers. I was a meat and sweet type of guy. Feb will be 13 years since I met Cindy, and I eat a lot more / better now. I won't touch Brussels Sprouts either though... I still remember coming home one day and asking my wife what that smell was. She had put some sprouts in a pot and put it on the stove, without adding water. They were so burnt to the pot that I threw the pot away. :)

As for diet soda, I switched to Diet Coke, and can't stand regular Coke (or any non-diet soda) any more - it's too sweet. I had to get off the Diet Coke because I was drinking like 6 a day and it was causing my stomach problems. Since switching to water things have been much better.

You ma'am, are a master at reverse psychology. Congrats! :rotfl2:

You and Bill are going to get along just great! He still doesn't put ketchup on his burger. I had to cut down on my diet soda consumption too. If I drank too much I felt like I had lead in my stomach. There was a news story yesterday that stated diet coke has more caffeine than regular coke. Good thing I drink caffeine-free Diet Coke. Bill prefers Diet Rite (made with Splenda). Personally, I find it too sweet. Also, Coke Zero is pretty good, but on the sweeter side too. Bill and I have been together for 12 years, married almost 11. So, we must all be around the same age. Bill is 38 and I am 35.

We may see y'all on deck 9 or 10 watching Monday Night Football under the stars. Doesn't that sound good right now?

The kids have been fed. Bill is at football practice with Will. So, I am off to "relax". Evening All! :goodvibes

One last thing: I had to comment on this and say. . . I need you to come over here and get my kids to eat their vegetables! That is a great story! :rotfl:

Ketchup on Burgers and Brats is about it for me. And for some reason I really like the Sodium Free Heinz flavor...

Feb will be our 10th Anniversary and I'll be 34 in November, and Cindy will be 35 in December. I'm looking forward to meeting your entire family.

If anyone is interested, I have a very outdated website that I really need to upload some new pictures too. I started it while building our house... I don't think there's any pictures of our youngest - Ryan - on it yet. I'll try to update it this weekend.

It does for sure! Not much longer now! :woohoo:

Oh how I feel your pain.. :sad2:
I am a Huge sweets addict.. Is there a 12 step program for Chocolate Addiction?

Chocolate is the best, but any kind of sweet will do. I can put away a whole bag of sour balls - of course then I am sick for the next few hours, but that does not stop me. Sour balls are just clumps of high fructose corn syrup with some red dye added:sad2: but boy are they yummy! :cool1: DrHug and I have a stash of them in the motorhome, "just in case". :rotfl: We have some chocolate, boston baked beans, and peanut butter candies too.
