Does everyone have Monday off? I don't get US holidays, so I'll be working

I have Monday off but it is amazing how many places are still open. Our oldest still goes to the doctor, I have a meeting with a CPA, and we have football practice...all on Labor Day! What a holiday. One more week until ressies! Woohoo!

An introduction. I am Dave (42) I am married to Tammy (39), and have a son Brandon (14) who will be joining you all on this cruise. I/we look forward to meeting a lot of new friends, and having tons of fun.

Tammy is a new RN and she needs the rest and relaxation, and Brandon is starting the 8th grade, so he's looking forward to the teen activities. He is 6' and looks older than 14; Girls? .

Anyways, enough of this babble... Everyone have a great evening!

The Mall is open so I would of worked but I took a few weeks off to get my son ready for school and with the new house and traveling back and forth.. Im trying to get all the loose ends done..

DS had his SR Class pictures taken and the very next day had to get his 2 wisdom teeth pulled.. Poor kid.. In October he goes to have the rest of his Orthodontics put in.. bottom palet expander and bottom braces..

So how had or went to BBQs??

We are off on Monday. I work for the Federal Government, DrHug sets his own schedule. We do not have any plans though. DrHug's bro and his lady visited a bit today and we went out for lunch with them. Otherwise, just looking thru photos to give to DD for our "surprise" anniversary party on the 29th. The walk down memory lane thru the photos of our life has been fun.

Welcome, OCDave and family!

I'm off today (Monday) since I work for the municipal government, but I actually have about two hours worth of paperwork to do later. I don't mind, though, because I can sit here in my home office and enjoy the ocean breeze and consume one or another of my preferred adult beverages. My boss doesn't appreciate any of us doing that in the office!

It's been a busy weekend. My daughter-in-law is having fertility treatments, and she had some test on Friday that left her feeling really uncomfortable, so I've been taking care of her. My granddaughter has her annual end-of-summer cold, so she's just really grumpy. And I've spent the rest of my free time doing fun things like housework. I'm going to head out to the mall in a little while to see if I can find some fabric transfer paper.

No BBQ here this time, we did that last weekend. Today is a day off for all of us, so we're ordering Chinese for dinner so none of us will have to cook or do much cleaning up.

We're making the last ADR's for the WDW part of our trip tonight, and then all I have to do is watch my countdown change--and make my online reservations when it's time.

Well, it's back to doing all of my chores. Hopefully I'll get a chance to check in again later!

When we order Chinese, we say "What do you want from 5-10 minute?!" because it's always "Ok, order ready in 5-10 minute." when we order for pick up

We have a local pizza parlor and if you order 1 pie or a meal for 8 it's always.. "ok, 20 minutes"

DrHug got a couple of door signs done for us today. I want him to make one for each of the other 4 rooms in our group also. I want to give them to them at the end of the month so they will see what I keep telling them about and get some inspiration to maybe do some of their own also. I know my sis and mom won't make any, so for sure DrHug needs to do theirs.
