Did any one else get another packet of cruise info this week? We did, it looks the same as the first one, I didn't look page by page. Only thing I see different, the cover letter says we can make excursion reservations on Sept 9, the old letter said Sept 24. We will be able to make our reservations before we leave on our Florida trip.

Happily, we've had the cruise paid off for months now. We are working on paying off next years cruise (September 2008). I can't wait for next Saturday to finally make our excursions and Palo reservations. I just want to confirm which day/date we are doing the Palo Brunch.

Palo Brunch on
Monday (December 10th)
or
Thursday (December 13th) ?????????????????????????

:goodvibes Thanks!

We will not talk about that Cowboys pre-season game last night. Bill was pretty quiet in the living room watching the game. That usually is not a good sign. He is a die-hard Cowboys fan! He was born and raised in Dallas.

I will not be online much today. I am heading out soon for my "weekly" B12 shot (fun, fun) and then to the hospital. My sister is being induced today. She is 39 weeks pregnant, but the ultrasound is reading she is only 36 weeks for the past two weeks. So, she is concerned about his size (it's a boy!). We'll see how it goes. I want to be there to support her and her husband. I am making sure I bring the kids lots of things to keep them busy because I am not sure how long I will be at the hospital. Then, I have to go get my nephew from home after school. He is going to spend the long weekend with us since his mom is in the hospital. Then, somehow I have to get Will back to our area of town for football practice. Today is going to be chaotic.

:cool1: Everyone have a great day and weekend! :cool1:

:cheer2: GO GREEN FALCONS! :cheer2: (Will's football team)

I just spent the entire morning fixing someone else's BIG mistake. Now time to start my work.

I just took down our 18' pool for the winter. Kids start school on Tuesday, and it's been full of cold rainwater - we got over 10" of rain this month - so no one will be swimming much. I'll drop some grass seed down and maybe we'll get some growth before the snow flies.

Bad news = nothing but 90+ degree highs in the forecast
Good news = we still have some swimming weather left

Always looking for a silver lining. :)

Pool time in my part of Tennessee is extended - if you have a heater you can swim comfortably until the end of October. We have had no rain for over 4 weeks and the temps were in the 100's for 3 weeks I think. It has now cooled down to 95-98 degrees! A cold snap! It is supposed to cool down even more next week - meaning low 90's but we still have some hot days left. Our kids have been back at school in the public system since August 10th. I am hoping when we hit Turks and Cacios in a couple of weeks it will not be too hot there! I am looking forward though to the cruise in December with warm weather!

I understand COMPLETELY!!! Me and Pooh_Girl are in NE Arkansas and I haven't had to mow my yard in 3 weeks!!!

We have the money in our vacation savings account but do not pay off the cruise until the last minute. Even then I pay it off with my Disney VISA and then wait until it is due in 30 days to put out the cash.

I guess that's why I work in finance ....always someone else's cash! :thumbsup2

I got two packets this week. One had a letter dated 30 July, and I had a letter dated 4 August. Weird.:confused3

That's the plan. We'll find out 30 days prior if we get the room or not. Keep your fingers crossed!

I called DCL to put more money on my shipboard account. When I asked about the parasailing at Castaway Cay, I was told that it is not available for the foreseeable future. :sad2:

Have a good cruise. :thumbsup2

We always take one suitcase either empty or almost empty just for "stuff". ;)

No pool time here in Oregon. I can't remember ever putting on a bathing suit here in the 20 years we have lived here, other than at indoor hotel pools. :sad2: We sometimes get a few days of upper 90's to low 100's in August, but only a few have pools up. We never bothered.
