Hmmm....upgrades....maybe if I slip someone a $5 bill. DW and I booked an inside cat 11 on deck 7. But we're just happy being on the ship!! 4 months and a week!!!!!!

When does everone start their Christmas shopping so everything is bought and wrapped before the cruise?

When do you start decorating for Christmas? We start Thanksgiving weekend.

Do you mail your cards before or after the cruise?

We are going to NYC next Friday. I can't wait to shop at the World of Disney Store again. I guess that will be my offical Christmas shopping start date. (not for our son, our family's anti-Disney person.)

I need a vacation, we are spending Thursday - Monday in NYC, NJ, & DE. It is a business trip for my husband and vacation for me.

Our friends that are cruising with us just don't get this whole DIS thing. How do you explain it to nonDisers? I explain and she still looks at me like I am strange. I want her to do the Secret Santa and she keeps saying "I just don't get it, I don't understand." She doesn't understand how I can say I have all these friends on the cruise when I haven't met them yet.

Also going to the M&M store. My other friend here at work is a M&M nut. I always bring her something form the Las Vegas M&M store. One year I brought her pillow cases and she loved them.

My wife has already started the shopping. She likes to have everything bought, wrapped, labeled, and stored in the closet before November

My parents are kind of like that. My dad said "You need to be careful who you're talking to online" like I was a teenager on Facebook or something.

Plutojudy- I have two tickers in my sig--one for the actual start of my vacation (Nov. 30) and the other is the day we sail. I also have one on my desktop for the final payment date. I wouldn't want to forget that! Enjoy your trip to NYC. On a clear day (which doesn't happen too often in July/August) I can see the NYC skyline from the beach here in town. I haven't actually been in the city for a couple of years, though. I

I don't do much Christmas shopping. I'm a "gift card" kind of a girl. My Christmas present to my son and his family will be to pay off their campsite for our trip to WDW, and I'm giving them two days alone at that site while we take the granddaughter to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

My DH refers to my DIS friends as my "imaginary friends", although now that he's been meeting some of them, he's beginning to realize that they're real, and they've all been very nice. No obvious ax murderers, as he says!

That's also the day my wife and I started going out 7 years ago this November!!!

We fly on Friday too. And we are retunring home on Sunday the 16th. We are flying out of O'Hare where are you flying from?

We fly out of Mitchell. It's a lot more convenient for us, but I've flown out of OHare many times for business.

I live just North of the border, in Elkhorn, north of Lake Geneva. I work in Arlington Heights at Motorola. Where-abouts are you in IL?

DS's anniversary is 11/6 and DDIL's birthday is 11/28. This trip is an anniversary/birthday celebration for them as well as an anniversary trip for us. It's half-way between our anniversaries, since ours is 12/30.
