I was gasping too when I read no more door decorations! I was wondering how I would ever find my stateroom! :lmao: I was very relieved when I read that we can continue to have the magnetic stuff. Whew!!

Don't even ask me what our stateroom number was last time. I am AWFUL with numbers. The only way I found our stateroom was the signs on the door. It really helped on our Palo night after a few martinis.:drinking1

I WILL NEVER GROW UP Taking the 12/08/07 cruise pledge! :thumbsup2

That is a wonderful motto to have. We are onboard (pun intended;) )!

"I Don't Wanna Grow Up, I'm A Toys R Us Kid!" (or should it be "Disney Kid"?)
I can't hear that song without visualizing Geoffrey the giraffe skipping along and the kids on all the different toys. The 70's sure were a great time to be a kid! I'm 34 (35 in July). However, I could have done without the bright orange bell-bottom pants I am in for my first day of Kindergarten.

:rotfl2: Or the courteroy pants that I had. :scared1: I'm also 34.

Ok, don't shoot me but DW and I are going to be 27 when we're on the cruise and I have to admit; the 80's were a pretty awesome decade!! Maybe it was because of our age, but didn't it seem like back then there just weren't as many problems? Sure there was the cold war and etc, but everything just made more sense. I miss the 80s!!! :sad1:

The '60s were better. :hippie:

I love the door signs too. :thumbsup2 All those plain doors look the same. It really helps.

MrsMork, we really need to see pictures of your Disney Cruise bedroom in your motorhome. What a relaxing room that must be. I love the ship's horn idea. Everytime I hear that sound, it gives me the chills, I love it.

Hi There :wave2:

Hope all is well with everyone today..

Ok so where did you people all hear about this No sign thing on doors? :confused3 I'm so out of the loop :sad2:

Is it just because they don't want tape on the doors?

During our November 2006 cruise, I purchased a 2006 DCL Scrapbook and extra scrapbook pages on clearance for 50% off. I am hoping to do the same during our December cruise. It worked out great getting everything I was going to purchase anyway on sale. :cool1:

**Ears Perk Up ** Scrapbooking ?? :woohoo:
I LOVE love Love to Scrapbook
Funny how 99% of my scrapbooks are of Disney related trips :rolleyes1

I want to work on a book for Just our DCL trips. We have stayed so many times and in different cattergory cabins that I will have plenty of Pics to fill the book with no problem. :thumbsup2

And it will be really cool to take some pics of the Doors and Dis'ers when we cruise in December :cool1:

I am going to ask DrHug to take some photos to post. We have very defined rolls in our marriage....photography and techy stuff is definately his area! I would not have the slightest idea how to post a photo here.

I bought a Disneyland scrapbook that says "Where the Magic Began" on the front. This was my idea: DrHug and I met AT Disneyland in 1967, we have had many, many happy visits to DL, WDW and DCL. I thought I would make a scrapbook of Disney thru the years beginning with a wedding photo. I need to go through boxes of literally thousands of photos. I have so far found photos of us with both of my grandmothers and our girls at DL. One grandmother lived in TX, the other in OK so we only went with them one time each when they came to visit. I need to find all the photos first before I start putting them into the scrapbook so they will be in some sort of order. Retirement project, I think! I bought the scrapbook several years ago and have only gotten a few photos together so far.

We are 3 adults and one 5 yr old grand daughter. Hope we all have a great time.

I am certain you will have a great time! :dance3: Is this your first cruise? This board is a great place to make friends for your grand daughter before the cruise. It helps for the kids to have buddies in the club to make them feel more comfortable at first.

The adults have cruised before. We also took another Grand daughter on the DCL when she was 10. That's been 6 yrs ago now. Can't believe it. We would love to meet you before we set sail or soon thereafter. Thank you for answering my post.

I love this idea. What a nice way to remember everything.
Our first trip to Disneyland was in 1966. Remember the flying saucers? The mule rides, train ride and boat ride in the storybook (?) area? I'll have to get out the Disneyland book we bought on that trip to remember the names. As a kid we never traveled. When my husband and I pulled up to DL, and I saw it for the first time, I cried. I never in my life thought I would ever be there. We have been hooked on everything Disney since that trip.

Yes, I remember those! The canal boats to storybook land are still there. We rode them last June for the first time in many years. We were there with a friend who now lives in Indiana, grew up in Calif. She wanted her children to see the Disneyland that she remembers so we rode all the old rides as well as the new. It was great fun!

Have any of you been effected by recent weather? flood and tornados? I heard bad conditions in Chicago and in Texas. We have had a ton of rain since last night but North Jersey has it alot worse then us.

Just hope all the Dis'ers are ok. :grouphug:

Where do you live? We will be at WDW Sun-Fri before the cruise. We are thinking we will likely be at a hotel at the port on Fri evening. We hope to be getting a DIS meet together late in the week and then of course Deck 10 at 3:30 to visit and get to know each other a bit.
