Hello There !!

DH and I are discussing Palo's. Since it is just the 2 of us we don't have to worry about or son. DS is excited that the next cruise for him will be 18 and able to join us in Palo's.

WoW great Fish extenders. umm.. but do you all get that much mail that you need one? We don't do anything except put up some Lime Green Mickey Heads (thanks to home depot) and a Castaway Club magnet.

I have stockings for the 4 rooms in our group. We will hang them on the fish. And, if you are part of this group, I can say with confidence that you will get at least a small surprise or two in your stocking or fish extender if you have one.

We were at Home Depot last weekend. We are in the process of doing some landscaping around our pool and need new patio furniture. Anyway, I casually walked towards the paint section. DH thought I was looking for a new paint color for our bedroom. Little did he know I was eyeing the Mickey head-shaped paint swabs. I was trying to get one of each color when he asked, "What are you doing?". I was picking out reds and oranges and greens (bright colors). He thought I had lost my mind. So, I only got a couple samples. Good enough for what I have planned.

This past cruise the "fish extenders" were Christmas stockings. They were used for the "Secret Santa" presents all week. DISer's came by throughout the week and left things in the stockings. It was cool fun and added excitment to the cruise. I loved coming back to the room to find something new in the stocking!

That sounds so awesome and so much fun. trying not to get caught as you slip little gifts in the stocking and extenders.

That sounds good to me, well, as soon as he earns his computer privileges back ::cop: He's been slacking off at school the last couple of weeks. I'll talk to him about it and post back here what his response is - I'm sure he'd be delighted to start conversing with a fellow cruiser.

What kind of gifts can you give? Are they Disney related? Oh and how many do you give? Is it 1 gift per person?

Just small stuff. Last year I got pirate beads for everyone from Oriental Trading Company. Disney stuff, pirate stuff, glow necklaces, pencils. People get real creative. We need to get a list going of the DISers on this cruise. We put the little gifts in all DISer stockings, no one kept track of who was giving and who wasn't. The gifts were completely voluntary, not required to give to get.

Has someone started a DISers cruise list and fish extender gifts list?

As I stated before, we are VERY interested in doing the fish extenders gifts too. So, put us on the list. We have changed our stateroom. We will now be in 8528. We plan on getting one item per person. So, a head count of each person in the staterooms would be of great assistance too. Thanks! This is going to be so much fun.

Everyone have a MAGICal day! We will be enjoying a 70 degree day here in Texas.

Ok I will start a List for Cabin Numbers & Head Counts in each cabin for the "Secret Santa" Should we include ages of children? I wouldn't want to give a toddler something they could choke on..

I talked to my Dad who lives in Massachusetts last night. He said it was 9 degrees at his house. He gets the last laugh. He has mild 80 and 90 degree summers. It gets over a 100 here!

I made key chains with our thread's "logo" on it and others brought various small gifts. No one "had" to do this or was made to feel like they "had" to participate to get a gift. For my DW and I it was just plain fun and really added to the spirit of a Christmas cruise.

I may try and slip the Captain a $20 and see if we can get upgraded to a Cat 1 or 2, but I don't see it happening. So it's pretty safe to say we'll be in that cabin. We'll notify everyone if it changes!!
