ok I have no idea if I have introduced myself or not so if I have I am sorry.

My name is Krisann and we are excited to be on this cruise - we were scheduled to be on the Sept. 1 cruise but because of my grandmother's death we had to change the dates which is wonderful to me as I have a business all about Christmas and would love to do Disney at Christmas - just never thought I would get a chance to!

We homeschool our 2 children ds - 10 and dd - 12 - I would love to find others who have kids the same ages. My kids love the kids clubs so they will be going there some which will be nice because it will give my hubby and me "alone time" to do whatever as he will just have gotten back from Iraq in November. We took our first Disney cruise in April of 2006 when he came home the first time and we did not think he would have to go back - but he did and we had such a great time reconecting the first time we decided to do it again.

In addition to this cruise we are also on the May repo cruise so if anyone with kids are going on both I would really love to hear from you and maybe we can get our kids together!

I am looking forward to meeting people here - I have been reading the posts the best I can.

Is it too late to participate in the Stockings I read about and the Palo brunch? With the Palo brunch do we make our own reservation and then we are just all there at the same time? We are doing the romance package again so I will be making reservations very soon.

More questions will come to me I am sure - thanks for any input.

Krisann,
So nice to meet you! What cabin are you in? I'll need that to add you to the secret santa list on the blog. And also to see if I can add you to the group Palo request. We are trying to get the "secret" room at Palo, and I believe it can hold up to 20 people. We are at 15 now, so as soon as I get your cabin number (and first and last names) I'll email Disney to see if I can get you added. They won't review the request until 30 days out. So in the meantime, you can make your own reservations online. I believe they will cancel your other reservations if the group request is confirmed for the same date. I've requested the 2nd day at sea as our first choice, and the 1st day at sea for our second choice.

Please also update your info on the Secret Santa thread started by Pfishgirl. I've been trying to use that to double check that I've got everything covered on the blog. (See the link in my signature for all of the plans so far.) It'll be great to have you aboard!

Welcome Krisann, please meeting you. My second DS is 9, so he's almost the same age as your son. This is our first cruise, but I have a feeling that he will spend a lot of time in the clubs.

I have been slowly reading through this post from the beginning, and now realized we still have not received the new Castaway Club cards. Guess I will have to try again. I know I don't "need" them but I want them. I like to receive Disney mail too. They were also going to send me the Shoreside Survival Kit, this was back in May.

Where is everyone today? Much too quiet.

MrsMork, ok, you sold me, I bought Skip-Bo last night. Now I have to learn to play. I am horrible at learning games from instructions. So Saturday evening will be first watch WILD HOGS, then learn Skip-Bo.

Welcome to our cruise. There are a lot of fun people here.

Welcome from us as well! If you cannot get on the group for Palo, we have room for 2 more on ours. I have requested the group room for Sun, first sea day, with Mon, second as the back up.

:yay: More SkipBo players! It really is a very simple game to learn.

These beautiful flowers open in the evening and are withered by noon the next day.

:thumbsup2 We love to play SkipBo too! Which reminds me, we haven't played it in awhile. Lately, the kids are into a card game called "Big Trouble". It is fun too!

:goodvibes Another beautiful photo from Brack. What kind of camera to you use?

I have basil and oregano growing in a rectangular pot on the patio (I use it in my homemade tomato sauce and on homemade pizzas). Every morning the leaves are wilted. About an hour after I water them, they are alive again. This Texas heat drains the life out of everything! Luckily, the palm trees we planted this Spring have been pretty hardy, considering I forget to water them. :rolleyes1

We still haven't received the new cards either. When I booked this cruise, I asked about the cards and they transferred me to the Castaway Club dept. The CM asked "when was your last cruise?" I told him, "we just got off the ship yesterday." To which he replied, "well it takes a few months after you cruise to get the cards!" I explained that our 1st DCL cruise was in May 2003. I thought it was hilarious that he thought someone would be asking why they didn't have their cards within 24 hours of their first cruise. :rotfl2:

LOVE the photos Brack:thumbsup2

Just wanted to get the 1360 post to add to our post count. Only 640 more to go! Who's going to grab 2000?
