I believe you will be able to see it anywhere. My grandparents were at Epcot twice when it launched. Unfortunately, they saw the one that exploded and even at Disney they could see the big pieces. :sad2: They never watched another launch.

Oh, how traumatic to see that one live. I remember seeing it on the news. I remember 9/11 as well, that one is burned into my brain. I know exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out about the first plane.

I will never get a pirate unless I talk to myself while we are at sea.:lmao: I have a funny feeling that I might not even get one after we sail.

I have to shop tomorrow for the trip. I really think I will make the BIG list and send DD to Target. She needs to study for finals.

Just read last post, too tired to type. Must sew costume. I am afraid I will hurt myself with the pins and machine.

My dh watched the 2nd plane crash while he was on the NJTP on a bus attempting to get into NYC.

Good evening everyone! :goodvibes

Our computer died a couple of days ago and I had to go buy one today. :surfweb: The old one that I built lasted 11 years so I guess we got our money's worth out of it. ;) We are in full packing and prep mode as we leave in 2 days! Woohoo! :cool1: I know everyone else is excited too. :thumbsup2

I was supposed to be in China during that event, but was sick, and so another engineer went in my place. They were stuck there for a few days. I couldn't imagine the thoughts that went through his head on the flight back.

I've still got some floating around from about that age. The first one we bought is an IBM with a 233 Mhz AMD proc in it and a 20 GB hard drive. It's still in running condition. I can't throw old PC's away :)

Me too on both counts. :( And I have a 3rd memory as well witrh the most recent shuttle disaster when it reentered the atmosphere. I had just gotten in from jogging and was talking to Jennifer when we heard a real loud pop. We didn't know what it was at the time but it turns out that it was the space shuttle exploding. Truly another sad day I will never forget. :(

Hi ladies and gents! Just checking in before bed, won't stick around for the pirate: , I need to get to bed. Have to give myself a pat on the back--all the presents currently in my possession are wrapped! We may not get home until the 22 or 23, and I need to know that stuff is DONE. Now I still haven't started going through the clothes or packing, but I can do that while the kids are awake--wrapping presents, not so much.

And I also need to say, I HATE Hasbro. Ds wants Transformers this year and every freaking package is shaped WEIRD. Narrower at the bottom. Curved on one side. More or fewer than the standard 6 planes of a cube. Boy am I glad THAT's over. I liked it better when all he wanted was Lego--now those people understand symmetry! Anyway, it's after midnight and I need to sleep. Have fun!
