Hi Julie! Does that make 3? Are we all getting geared up for a little chase? The more the merrier!!

Busy day here...we got some of our Christmas stuff out and trimmed the "kids' " tree downstairs. It only has their ornaments--some they made, some little goofy ones from previous years' Advent calendars. Now they are hounding me to open the Playmobil nativity set. :goodvibes

JoAnne,

I've seen people report it both ways. A couple of people say they freeze in there, but if you call housekeeping/maintenance, they can adjust the thermostat for you. We've always been really comfortable and just wear a regular nightgown/t-shirt, gym shorts.

On the same subject... does anyone else refuse to sleep in the buff on the cruise just caues there "might" be a situation where you'd be called out to your muster station? :rotfl:

LOL Julie. Here's reason # 231: with little ones it's dicey to sleep in the buff anytime! Dh is still grumbling about that particular aspect of parenthood. (TMI?? )

Dh and I are watching a Rick Steves' holiday special on PBS...it's new stuff, he collected the holiday traditions all over Europe. This is a great mood-setter; at least what he's showing looks so much less commercial than our holidays these days. Looks lovely. Wanna go!!

OTOH, I wonder how my new neighbours feel about the flood light on the manger scene and the inflatable snowmen in their full glory tonight on our lawn?? It's not even Dec yet, but I think we'll actually take in those two pieces when we go away, as it'd break our hearts to come back and find them stolen. So they'll only have a week or two to get used to them!

Ok, now I feel old. Rick Steves' kids are full grown! I've been watching his shows since he was filming "travelling with toddler" tips. :scared1:

:rotfl: I was actually thinking that's probably another reason people don't sleep in the buff on the cruise... having the kids in the same room.

But yeah... never thought about being at home and they come running into the bedroom. :lmao:

Hi Krisann. I have no experience for you so can't help with your question, though personally I can't imagine objecting to a cute matching family!!

I have a question too. I'm wondering how cosy the staterooms are...I'm guessing they might be stuffy so we'd want to carry summer-weight jammies. OTOH, maye it's a situation where the AC makes it cool? :confused3

Our stateroom in August had been warm. We tried lowering the temp, and it didn't get any cooler. We called and they fixed it. We are not sure if they over rode the mechanisim to let our room stay cooler or not, but our room was now cool enough for us. I did find most of the ship warm, when others had said they found the ship cold.

And I would wear the jeans. I will be packing jeans for DH.

:lmao:

I'm actually working in another window, but I've come back to take pity on you.... :flower3: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm curious...are the luggage tags always lime green, or have we really taken over this cruise? ;)

Just keep the nite clothes close to the bed :rotfl:

The luggage tags used to be completely different. They were some yellow contraption that you had to wrap around and back through itself. I always thought they'd get ripped off, but they always stayed on.

These new ones look a lot more like actual airline luggage tag things.
