That's what my son and I have.. We are very close and I have always spoken openly with him about everything.. The only way he will learn is to be taught.. I never wanted to "hush hush" when he is around.. As he gets older.. it is the more important issues that I Need him to know about and that he can Trust me and that no matter what stupid mistake he does.. I will Always be here for him and I will always love him.. I explain to him, don't judge people, because you never know what they are going through on the inside that you can't see..

Yes, I think it's important to start talking about adult choices when they are young. When we're watching TV, we talk about the folks that make bad decisions, and why it's important to learn self control, etc when you're young.

I need to buy more minutes for my tracfone...wonder if I can keep the old number I had on it.... I only fill it up when we vacation... our town is so small we don't have a national provider just local and once you leave those few counties your roaming

Our cell phone service here is ridiculously cheap. I paid 10 Euro, for each of our sim cards. There's no monthly service charge, we get 3 free hours a month to everyone on the US Embassy plan, other than that its 10cents a minute. And in Europe the incoming calls are free!

I agree... and now with DS being 17 and a Sr in HS.. we deal with the BIG adult issues.. Sex, Drinking, School, Future..

As much as I don't want my son to drink, I know he does on ocassions and I would much rather him be Responsible about it then deny and hide it from me.. The sex isn't that much of an issue, because he dates here and there.. Nothing serious.. but he knows he wants an Education before a commited relationship and a good Career Before a family..

Ours is Crazy... but DH has 14 phones on 1 plan..

We do get free Nights and Weekends after 7pm

WOW, ours is $55 a month and you have to pay full price for your phone and sign a 2 yr contract. and it only comes with 200 min. a month but you get free mobile to mobile so we really don't use any minutes since everyone else in town has the same carrier and you have to pay .10 for each out going text ..

OMG I HATE that channel...... and golden girls, my friend is always watching that channel when I go over and she absolutely loves golden girls, I always tell her "and were friends".... well kinda have to be now because she is married to my cousin...

Can you guys believe it's less than 3 weeks?

I haven't even started on my skirt yet. I'm thinking next weekend since I'll have so much time with the Thanksgiving break. Things were just too crazy this past week to even think of doing more than catching up this weekend on laundry, trash, and getting the kitchen cleaned up.

I think we're still going to try to get away with one big suitcase and a suitbag for the both of us. And our carryons, of course. I should probably start organizing the suitcase to see if this plan will actually work. So far I've just been throwing things into it as I remember them.
