Hey Guys!!!! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while!!! Been reading over Robby's shoulder. I actually have a cruise related question (whoda thunk it??) :lmao: Does anyone know or actually paid attention to what kind of toilet paper they have on the cruise ship?? :rolleyes1 I know it won't be charmin, but it like the "John Wayne" paper or is it a little bit better??? I can't stand the commercial grade paper like what is used in public restrooms!!! :lmao: Sometimes it makes me want to constantly carry my own roll!!! Should we take our own on the cruise, or is it safe?? :rotfl:

What the heck???!!! This thread jumps 30 - 40 pages a day and I post once in like a week and it DIES!!!! :lmao: I know I posted a "smelly" question, but do I really stink that bad???? :confused3

I don't remember even thinking about it so it must not have rubbed us the wrong way! :confused3 They may need to use biodegradable type like they have for MHs since it goes into holding tanks not into a sewer system.

Mmmmm...Tully's! I have had my share this week but I am looking at a Tully's a mere 50 feet away and I may sneak in 1 more before I leave. :)

:lmao: What do you get?? I usually get a grande non-fat latte with a shot of the sugar-free hazelnut syrup. Mmmmm

Good point!! (And speaking of choking, I almost choked on "it must have not rubbed us the wrong way!") :lmao:

I'm with you on this issue :thumbsup2 I do not like commercial grade TP but I think the DCL version is not bad. It's not Charmin but it is tolerable.

I'm with you

I really don't remember the toilet paper. After that first flush, you're just too worried about making sure you've still got everything that you went in there with.

And keep in mind that if you don't like it, you can always turn the other cheek. :)

YAY!!! All caught up again!
Quick personal problem. I just got another email from my sons teacher. All red font, all caps and full of pucuation/grammar errors. Would it be really bad if I send her a message letting her know that is considered shouting if you type in all caps and that red font is not the best choice for professional communications? I don't think I can take this the rest of the year.
My son transfered into our local high school in the middle of his sophomore year when we moved here. The first thing that came home from the school was the Student/Teacher/Parent handbook. It was filled with spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. I'm a former teacher, so I corrected it and sent it back with a rather stern letter. I also sent a copy to the New Jersey Department of Education. To this day, the Superintendent of Schools doesn't speak to me unless he has to, and that's a good thing!;)

Hey, I just earned a free frozen turkey or ham or lasagna from Shoprite. I don't do those (well we do turkey..but Empire). Is there aplace I can donate the frozen item too??

Tx
I know that Stacy gave you some phone numbers. If they don't work out for you, Long Branch has a food pantry, or you can call any local synagogue or church. One of them will need a turkey!

Nathan's...COney Island Nathan's Fries .... MMMMMMMMM
ITA!!!!:thumbsup2

OK..I need to vent alittle. Hope you guys understand. Today is DS's 24th birthday..sigh..my baby is getting older  ....
Rather than quoting the whole thing, I just want to say that you sound remarkably well adjusted! And you're not all that old....:rolleyes1

I love the name "John Wayne paper". We refer to such paper as "the kind that has the splinters left in for added cleaning".:rotfl2: I don't remember the brand name, but it's biodegradable and very nice. I'm a bit "sensitive" about such things, and in all of my cruises I've never had a problem.

We haven't gotten our documents yet, but they'll come from DU, so it should be another day or so. For our cruise in 2003, DCL kept sending our docs to our old address. DU kept changing it, but it kept coming directly to our old house. The woman there actually accepted them--I think she thought she was getting a free cruise! DU finally got a set and overnighted them to our house. They arrived about 15 minutes before we were leaving! They always have them at the port, though, so we knew we weren't going to be left behind! And now, with the online sign-in, I know that it's all taken care of, but I still can't wait for that package!

OK, I'm off to have dinner now. I just cooked a two kinds of baked chicken breasts, I made stuffing and broccoli, and now we have to eat it. Please try to keep the post count reasonable so that maybe I have at least a slight chance of getting caught up again before I go to bed!

I really should finish posting BEFORE I hit "Submit Post"!

Brack: Please send my good wishes to Annette. Last year my son had his identity stolen, and that created the same kind of mess. He's still trying to straighten things out. But, in the end, everything will work out, and hopefully the thief will get what's coming to her. I can't imagine doing such a thing. I've found many wallets, cell phones, briefcases and even computers (I live right near a train station where people tend to forget stuff) and have always returned to the rightful owner or to the police. I can't imagine keeping it! I've had many people offer me a reward, but I never accept it. I always ask them to donate it to their church, synagogue or charity. I've just done the right thing!

Thanks for the advice, i did find someone to take it. Now I just have to pick it up!! My synagogue wont take it for the same reason I won't use it. When it comes to whole chickens or turkeys, I only buy kosher.

Thank you for saying that. Sometimes I fee well adjusted, sometimes I don't...

:lmao: We won't be eating it! :lmao: We make a name place setting for each person every year. This year DD is making cemet leaves, painting them and then painting the name on it. Everyone looks foward each year to see what DD comes up with and then finding where they are sitting. Fun tradition that started out of necessity the first year my dad and stepmom came. We had not been able to have dad and mom in the same state for many years, much less the same house! We wanted everyone to be comfortable, not sitting right across from someone they did not want to look at thru a meal, not sitting right next to someone that would make them uncomfortable. My mom and MIL also were not great fans of each other. We also did not want folks walking to a chair, realizing who was near them and then trying to find another place. We spent many hours going over seating arrangements that year and came up with an arrangement that surrounded each person with their "support system." Everyone just loved the name plates we came up with and the fun of finding their name, so we continued the tradition even after everone became a bit more tolerant of each other. Thus the cement for Thanksgiving this year.

Oh good, I thought this was some new high fiber diet.:rotfl:
