I know that everyone should be treated equally but it helped that Annette's family has some law enforcement ties. The police went down to the store right after it happened and reviewed the tape. They could plainly see the woman take it off the counter when Annette turned away for a minute. I don't know if they can identify her or not but they do have her picture.

Tell her I'm sorry it happened. She'll always think of it differently now.

The worst part for me was having the bank return the fraudulent checks back to me. Seeing "my" signature in someone else's handwriting was just very .... well, like you said... it feels like you've been violated.

Last night my DW had here wallet stolen at the grocery store in NC. The police have actually seen the video I called all of her credit cards and bank to cancel them.

Today the bank called and someone reported to them that they found her wallet. They are going to mail it home. I don't know what is missing but all of cards are cancelled anyway.

Aww..that stinks..sorry this had to happen. Look on the bright side. You will ahve enough time to get new cards for the trip.
