Quick personal problem. I just got another email from my sons teacher. All red font, all caps and full of pucuation/grammar errors. Would it be really bad if I send her a message letting her know that is considered shouting if you type in all caps and that red font is not the best choice for professional communications? I don't think I can take this the rest of the year.

Ok, Now THAT is Great!!! I'm so glad that Santa visits and reading with Mrs Claus sounds alot of fun..

She cruises all December long? Do you need a ticket or just show up when the Navigator tells you she is there?

Can I borrow some one's child to listen to a story with Mrs Claus please??

It is in the atrium. The kids just gather round and sit on the floor at her feet. It is very, very cool. She reads The Night Before Christmas. And yes, we big kids can go too! We try not to crowd to the front though! And it is hard for this old lady to get up off the floor so we just stand by the wall.

Personally, I'd find out who the supervisor of the homeschooling program is and forward the email to that person with an added note voicing your concerns. From what you've said of this person, it doesn't seem like she's qualified to be in the position she is.

She does not have to bother holding the shift key down and deciding where to put a capital letter if she types in all caps! Maybe you should correct the whole thing and send it back with a grade!

iF SHE DID IT PROBABLY LOOKED A LITTLE LIKE THIS? aND IF SHE ADDRESSES THE CHILD BY NAME, sTACY, WOULD LOOK LIKE THAT..

Just curious.. but Yes, that would annoy me... and I think I would ssy something.. You are not a student you are a Parent and an Adult.. You deserve the same respect that she expects from her Class..

Hubby has not told me, but from what I understand it is not on the strip this time. I know that Planet Hollywood is doing their 'Grand Opening' this weekend which will be nice to avoid all the starlets and wannabes.

OK, the two restaurants are in THE TOWN SQUARE, one being Louis' and the other The Fish Camp. They just opened Wednesday and he's the GM. He's been in Vegas a couple of years now and worked and closed Commanders Palace for first year then just finished running Cesar's very upscale restaurant til this came along a couple of months ago. www.townsquarelasvegas.com for the info

Speaking of my September Cruise... I am such a Bad poster cruiser over there.. Now that December is only days away, I've been neglected them.. I do check in, once a week, at least... But, after December I will be back posting all my Fluff

Same here with the May Canal cruise. I was pretty active there, but am now all but MIA. Oh well, I will be back and jump right in after the first of the year.

No, I don't believe the caps lock button was on because it looked like this...HE ARE SCHEDULE FOR HIS TEST ON THURSDAY BUT IF NOT THEN FRIDAY. IF I AM RUNNING BEHIND IT WILL BE SOMETIME AFTER THANKSGIVING. I also got some "THEY IS" in the message and ",;".

I have already called the GVA office and was told no switching teachers. I said fine but I am going to let you know everytime I get crazy messages like this. I hope I can just bug them until they switch us.

There is always a group of our Thanksgiving guests that go out together. Several of our family live in Washington State. They love to do their shopping in Oregon because we have no sales tax. SO, by getting the deals of Black Friday and not paying the 8% sales tax they are able to save enough money on their Christmas shopping to pay for their 3-4 day trip here, both gas and hotel bill. I sometimes go with them, sometimes I sleep. We all meet for breakfast at 10 am after the shoppers finish up and the rest wake up. We usually have 30 plus at breakfast.

Maybe copy the original message, make all corrections in black and forward it the the GVA office.

I just realized we will be getting back so close to Christmas that I had better make all my preparations before we leave. So, I haven't even started packing for the trip yet and I have to buy presents.

Christmas ?? What about me! Chanukah starts on Dec 4, that is the first nite (and DH's bday), we leave on the 8th. I will be on the ship in the middle of the holiday! I am gonna double gifts the kids for the first four nites!!

I do always spell check my "business" communications. I know it is my area of weekness.

Last week she sent the weekly newsletter. Only problem, she could not figure out how to forward it to the parents so she scanned it. When I opened it, it was crooked and blurry. Also, because it was scanned I couldn't click on any of the links. Some I really needed. I had to email her and ask her to send me the links. Still don't have those one week later.

All the teacher has to do is the newsletter and once a month phone conferences with each of her students. She only has 50 students.

It sounds so much fun.. I actually wish sometimes we had relatives that do this My In Laws live in Colorado so we don't see them very often.. My mother and I do not get along well enough to stay together for an all day or weekend event

Yes you can!! And after breakfast we go wine tasting some years. There are literally hundreds of wineries within a 20 mile radius of our house. Then Friday night more board games, or dart games, or whatever. Saturday will be just a down day of visiting. Last night DGS18 was talking about TG and getting excited. He said "I love our family! I just can't imagine not having a big family!" He is excited to see all the cousins, second cousins twice removed, etc, etc.
