Now that everyone knows I have blindingly-pasty skin, I have a related question--does every WOMAN (I will not say everyONE b/c some smart-a$$ will start talking about cross-dressing ;) ) wear hose? I have a long dress for formal night with open-toed sandals, and I'd really love not to wear panty hose. Same for my below-the-knee and knee-length dressy dresses... :confused3

And in general, no shorts at dinner? Not even the first night? I don't do capris, they look awful on me; I do have a couple of pairs of bermuda-ish ones that are within a couple of inches of capris, just not "in spirit". Kids too? Ds' shorts are all nice khaki sorts, not knit "gym" shorts.

I know we can always go to Topsiders or one of the quick-service places, and we may if there's no "special" reason to get dressed up. It just sounds like work, to make sure everyone's changed by 5:30 or so, when the sun's still out and it's the Caribbean...

If the shoes are open toed and comfortable on my feet then No, I won't wear hose or knee highs.. But I will have painted Toe Nails..

Close toed shoes, yes, depending on the length of my dress or skirt, I will wear pantyhose or knee highs..

I will wear skorts with a Full wrap around piece to dinner.. Not the ones that look like shorts from the back and a skirt from the front.. Mine looks like a skirt..

I do like to "Dress" for dinner.. Since I never get to do it normally I like the feeling of being "Dressed" for special ocassions on the ship..

DS & DH both have suits/jackets/ties and wear them for dinner on Formal and Semi Formal days.. Semi Formal I let DS get away with no jacket..

Normal Cruise casual is usually Kaki typed pants and button down shirts for the Men.. Even when DS was small he wore Button down shirts for dinner..

As for the smaller guys.. I think kaki shorts would be cute..

Oh and I'm another one with very pale fair skin :scared:

That sounds like an awesome idea!!!! :thumbsup2 Of course, I'm a scrapbook nut now that I've finished my first one!!! Let me know if you need help with anything for it!!!

Thanks :goodvibes I have TONS of Disney supplies to decorate it with.. Even some Lime Green Mickey Heads I umm "borrowed" from the Home Depot :rolleyes1

 Stacy

Glad you got to go home early today.

The boss left early today so I have to take care of the front Desk (hhmmm...DIS)

So what kind of tempature do they have it in the Dining Room? I just know my DH is very hot natured and if he's wearing a suit hope they have it cool.

Several times I have been overly cold.. and I am very Warmed body.. In September, I wasn't cold at all.. so Maybe they have the tempertures set now.. :confused3

Ok, ds is getting a slight reprieve on his homework time but I just checked my email and gotta share--

My docs are in! My docs are in! "In", actually, means near Toronto, and they're going in the mail tomorrow, so I won't see them til next week...but still!

:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:  :hyper: :woohoo: party: :jumping1:

Ok, that's enough happy smilies...now back to our regularly scheduled homework. (See Bill I wasn't picking on you! :goodvibes )

All this week, I've felt like my brain has gone on vacation 3 weeks early and without me. The latest development is that I find myself in situations where I'm looking right at a person, listening to what they're saying, but not hearing a word being said. It's like I can't process the words as they're being spoken. Now, what's odd is that it's only happening when I'm listening to people with any kind of accent. Which, in LA, is quite a few people. I had a lot of trouble when I first moved here, but I've gotten much, much better over the last few years at applying various accents to words and knowing what's being said. But it's totally turned off this week. I haven't even had aspartame so I can't blame my brain fog on that. :confused3

Does that ever happen to anyone else? Maybe I'm just getting old. :scared1:

Maybe you just have "Cruise" on the brain... :rolleyes1

My mother asked me about Thanksgiving and all I kept thinking was cruise... cruise... cruise .. :woohoo:

Not long now!!

 :scared1: :scared:

ETA: Actually, I look forward to that. From conversations I've had with my nephews, I've kinda figured out that nothing really puts life in perspective like hearing the perspective of a 5 year old. :goodvibes

Same.. I LOVE when children that come into BAB explain things to me.. :rotfl2:

No kidding... I didn't realize till yesterday that Thanksgiving is next week. I'm blaming it on the fact that we have no plans though. :)
