I forgot to tell you that my granddaughter's soccer team won their first game of the season this morning, and Shannan kicked the winning goal! It's the first goal that she's ever scored (in three years/four seasons of play)! She's been on all day.

OK, I'm heading to bed now, trying to get some rest so that this cold doesn't take hold.

I'll be back in the morning!

Oh well missed it. I just happened to look up and saw the post. Back to chatting now.

Today was Tulip buying day. A local nursery was having a 25% off sale. I bought 120 bulbs in different colors. I figure one for the garden and two for the squirrels. I should be left with 40 tulips in the spring.

I also bought a rain barrel. For those who do not know, northern GA is under a severe drought with complete restrictions on outdoor watering as in none at all. Our primary water sources are at record low levels and we have been stocking up on drinking water. Now I am just trying to decide where to place it. It has to be near a downspout, but there are windows all in the backyard near them. If I go in the front, I am afraid the HOA police will send me warning notices. I will have to look into a trellis or something to hide it.

Wow! We are in North GA too! Everything is so dry! My DH and his buddies wanted to build a small fire to sit around tonight. We called the fire dept and got a burn permit but still had the Forest Service show up. The officer commended us for such a well prepared fire pit, complete with water hose.
As for the rain barrel, a friend in Athens just connected four and loves them! No barrel for us, just a great excuse for all my plants looking bad, I mean dead. I want to do my part to conserve water.

I really need to get on the ball about doing things that need to be done, my cpa is going to kill me because I have nothing ready from my store for uncle sam and I have nothing done for the cruise, only my secret santa stuff and the online documents.... I have a feeling these are going to be some stressful 28 days. I am working more hours at the library so no time to get stuff done for the store and I want everything turned in before we leave so I only have to worry about december when we get back home...I need to ban myself from doing this and do more this

Oh, I soooo hear you. I have so much to get done. And we don't get home until about the 20th (actually about the 22nd, stopping to do Christmas visits with the ILs on the way), so Christmas must also be "done" before we leave. And I'm losing focus!!
