What kind di you make??

Did everyone make the Green I Dis sign one? Or their own personal one? I was thinking making a Christmas themed one.. Didn't know if I may offend anyone on the ship with it though..

I don't think you need to worry about offending anyone - there will be Christmas decorations on the ship and on CC

I'm making myself wait until Thanksgiving weekend to start work on our door decorations. We're going to the Very Merry Christmas Party at WDW on 11/27, and I hope to have a pic or two from that night to put on our door.

No, but I had to wear a jacket when I went outside last night.

Had to come in from the balcony today cause I was getting too hot.

I used my autostart in my car for the 1st time this season...
It's so nice to leave at 10am for work.. and getting right into a nice toasty warm car

What's kinda funny is that I haven't actually made any for my own door.

I made a couple that might appear around the ship. I think the people presented with them will see the humor.

I'm sure you'll see other people with Christmas themed magnets. I don't think anyone will take offense if you're simply celebrating the way you normally do. It's not like you're telling anyone else not to celebrate their own traditions or that they should celebrate yours.

I don't think it will offend anyone, I think it would like going into a department store type thing. I am sure there will be other religions celebrating their own beliefs.....

Well... actually... funny you should mention Wiccans... DS & I are Celtic Neo Pagans.. But, DH was brought up Very Catholic and for Family reasons we celebrate Christmas.. DS & I do our own little special ceremony for "Yule"

We used to live in Victoria, BC, just above Seattle--pretty moderate there (for Canada!), no snow to speak of and spring in Feb...so I have some practice at the good weather thing...the city's tourism folks hold a "blossom count" every Feb and broadcast the results around the country. It was gloating, but it was FUN!

It's my understanding that most of the Christmas traditions we enjoy have pagan origins, right? Gifts under every green tree, yule, December 25, etc.

Yes, You are correct... Most Christian religions practice Pagan customs.. some changed them a bit.. Others still celebrate just like the Pagans do..

I really do miss having actual "seasons" though. The other day I saw a road crew cutting down a tree that was actually losing leaves... and I thought "Oh, yeah, it's autumn."

I miss the seasons too! It's a big deal here when we get the first "cold" front that takes us from the 90s to highs in the mid 80s. After 20+ years in FL, my blood has gotten thin. Now I'm "cold" and want a jacket when its 70 degrees!

I like seasons too, but the climate is so screwed up that they kinda meld... SUmmer was hot then mild then fall was hot hot hot. I didn't put my heat on until the end of Octobver...then I had to turn it off again. It's insane.
