Bill, You are suppose to be in a training class. Aren't you suppose to be paying attention? Are we a bad influence or what? :lmao:

Congrats!! :cheer2:

I was frozen and Dis wouldn't let me back in

:sad2:

:badpc: This site has a tendency to freeze up at the worst moments. I have typed so many posts to have it time me out and then freeze up. At first I thought it was this old computer (which coud still be part of my technical problems over here) but if others have the same problem, it is definitely the site. Maybe, they didn't realize how many Disney fanatics were out there when they intially started up the site. :confused3 I am sure the numbers would be baffling on the hits and posts this site gets daily. :surfweb: We have ALL surely contributed our own share! :lmao: (I admit it. . . I can be a chatty gal with the rest of ya! :rolleyes1 )

 Bill is the one who found this site on a whim and we have been "hooked" since our first browse. :surfweb: How did that happen? We are almost to our 2,000th post.

Hey all!
I am new to the disboards. I just booked our very first Disney Cruise, we are going on December 8th and I was wondering if the ship does anything geared around the holidays? Christmas music, shows, decorations etc....

Thanks in advance for the responses!

Stacy:

We went by BAB at the mall the other day and ours already had it's Christmas merchandise out. I love the Rudolph one. He is soooooo cute. The kids were "in a mood", so we didn't get to browse too much. Maybe, next time . . .

Welcome to the DISboards and welcome aboard the Dec. 8 cruise, Jill!

There's all kinds of beautiful holiday decorations on the ship, a Christmas Tree lighting and bunches of other stuff that I can't remember right now because I'm at work. Someone will jump on here in a few minutes with a much better memory than mine!

This is a fun group--you'll be glad you joined us, and we're glad to have you!

I am working Friday 11 - 4 because Bearmy is Reading with Children and some other Mall events are taking place.. And we have a Birthday party to do..

I spoke with my Manager today, and was told that at least 50 people came in and asked about Rudolph & Clarese.. I believe tomorrow is the day we can Sell them...

I will be doing my own "Wish List" shopping Friday.. Our Manager is allowing us to keep the Merchandise aside so they qualify for our Employee Double Discounts Days :woohoo: We are overstocked as is of Holiday merchandise so I don't see that being a problem, we have plenty for the Customer demand..
:santa:

Oh Thank you! thank you! thank you!! I'm even more excited now. I would love any and all information you all can give me. I look forward to chatting with all of you!

Ok that is odd... I was informed I have 2 New unread Private Message... when I went to look.. It was the same two I read and responded to about an hour ago.. :confused3

WE BROKE THE DIS !!!!!!!:scared1:

Maybe 10,000 is too many in one thread is too much for it to handle.. :lmao:

We sailed last year on the Wonder right after Thanksgiving. The ship was already beautifully decorated for the holidays. They have a huge tree in the main lobby as you enter the ship. There is also garland draping the banisters. There is a large gingerbread house near Parrot Cay (restaurant). The characters come out on a certain night dressed in "holiday attire" (plaid greens and reds). We used the photo with Mickey for our Christmas card last year. There is a tree lighting ceremony on the first evening onboard. Also, If interest you can look in the Navigator (onboard daily newsletter) for the gingerbread house making activity for the whole family. Even Castaway Cay is decorated for the holidays. When you step onto the island they have snow (bubbles) blowing and a gigantic tree waiting. We were offered cookies and juice at the gangplank (spelling?) on our way back onboard. The tram on the island has a red nose and antlers to look like a reindeer. Our kids got a kick out of that. I think Brack has a photo of that somewhere. That is all I can think of for now. I am sure others have ideas too. :goodvibes

Brack is our "Professional" Photographer of this Cruise.. and He has Posted many many wonderful Holiday pictures within this thread.. I am not aware off hand what pages though :sad2: When fighting for pirate: they all kinda blend together.. Maybe skim through them about 1,000 posts back.. I'm not exactly sure..

Also, you may want to check recent cruises and their Cruise Reports on the Main forum and see if someone has posted the Holiday decore there

:thumbsup2

I don't know how it happened but we have three (YES THREE) Bearmy teddy bears. They each now have different clothing. But, I could never remember which "bear" they had. We have one of the Bearemy's dressed in a Dallas Cowboys outfit for DS2 (too cute!). Another is dressed as a fireman (DS7's toddler room was fire engines and dalmations). The last one is dressed in a karate outfit (DS7 use to take karate). DD5 also has the bunny. It is the one she got for her First Birthday Party at BAB. We named her "Hoppy Birthday". Hoppy is dressed in a Hello Kitty outfit (to go with the scheme of DD5's room) and Skechers. They have EVERYTHING for those stuffed animals in there. I couldn't believe DD5's bunny has Skechers to match her own! DS7 also has an orange bear he got a few years back. DS7 named him "Pumpkin". I thought that was just the cutest name for an orange bear. He came up with that all by himself when he was 3. Pumpkin is pretty naked right now. So, we may have to find him something to wear. :rolleyes1

I am absolutely kidding. I have a DEEP appreciation for the chaos...um, I mean children that you have to manage on a daily basis. :dance3: I love the mother, wife, and soulmate that you are.

(Does that make up for my previous comment?)

- Bill

I am a full on romantic and I have to say that all the  between couples on this thread just warms my heart. :goodvibes
