I'll be really disappointed if we don't!

Good morning, no time to catch up, just wanted to let you know that all of my friends won their elections last night!

Beth

Hi Beth
Congrats to your election friends :cheer2:

Enjoy your Train ride.. Hope you have a wonderful day !!

I was asked to join a focus group on the cruise last year. I think they gave me $50 for participating. Anyone else done something like this and do you know how the select participants?

I'm thinking it's only gonna get worse (better?) the closer we get to the cruise. :goodvibes

What am I going to do for five nights before the cruise with no internet access? I already told Jim that as soon as we get into our room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge I'll have to check in and see what's going on! I can't imagine how many posts I'll miss! At least I'll be able to check things right up until the minute I walk out of the hotel. That should be some consolation.

Jennifer: I hope your DS feels better today!

Now I'm heading out to work. My desk should be covered with things that need my immediate attention. Let's see, I missed one day of work and one holiday. That should leave about two weeks worth of paperwork on my desk. Where does it come from when there isn't that much when I am in the office?

I think the paper work secretly has children and when we are away from our desks all the papers come for a reunion or something. :sad2:
We took last Saturday off, 4-5 hours and it took until Tuesday to get caught up. We have nothing delivered on Saturday. I really don't understand how that happens. Getting behind is why my husband hates taking vacations.

Also, we will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge the two days before the cruise. We really want to see the Space Shuttle launch. Do you think we can see it from the Disney parks?

I've been waiting 3 years for DH to finish the banister :sad2:
We stripped it down and he needs to kinda sand it and stain it and seal it..
But... with all our Vacations.. It got put wayyyyyyyy back on the back burner.. Heck I don't think it is even in the Kitchen anymore it was delayed so much

We were planning on putting in a large stone patio and firepit in our back yard, along with about 120' of 6' high retaining wall. That's likely going to have to wait... I have a feeling we'll be booking another DCL cruise on board next month... :rotfl:

Some things are more important than others!

We are not taking our computers nor our cell phones on the cruise. We find it very good therapy to unplug on vacation. We don't even give anyone a way to contact us. Our philosophy is it can wait until we get back and in the middle of the ocean there is nothing we can do about it anyway.

I love your attitude. The first year we went on the cruise we told our guys to only call in case of fire at the shop:scared1: . Then I told them to never mind because I had insurance and I would handle it when I got back. :rotfl:

Is there a way to know which cruises will not be popular next year? That's the cruise for me!:cheer2:

I'm the same way... I'd love to take a cruise that's about half full. I hate crowds like when my wife takes me to a craft fair, or our county fair, or the water parks up at Wisconsin Dells.

:surfweb: I always get frustrated when I want to do something with the computer/online, but it doesn't want to cooperate! Technology is great and all. But, it also has it's flaws. I vent to Bill about that all the time.:badpc: He works in IT. So, he usually tells me the problem is between the chair and the keyboard. . . :lmao:

- Jennifer

PEBCAK... Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard. When anyone calls me to get a password reset, that's my usual reset. That or ID "ten" T. ID10T. :)

This will be my first trip away without my laptop since I got my first one in 2000. We will take our cell phones, but once we get to our room, they will be turned off and placed in our suitcase which will then be put under the bed. Work will not bother me at all this trip.

We went on a cruise last November which stopped at Castaway twice. They said they had the highest percentage of kid passengers ever. I think they were telling the truth. It was crazy. It was a zoo.

DH just called and said he just checked our car rental rate for LV next week and it had gone down $42 and change for the time we have the car. We aren't even there and are ahead!

This is the biggest gambling budget we have ever taken, but I am hoping I can convince DH to spend some time in the room. :cheer2::love::woohoo:

:scared1: What has gone on in here? I go away for a week and it is already past 10,000? I remember it rolling over to 2,000 wondering if we'd reach 3,000 come cruise-time?

- Jennifer

Hope you had a great week! Really glad to have you back! :grouphug:

I finally just put DS2 back to bed. He didn't say Mommy for the first year of his life. He said Daddy all the time. Now, he won't stop calling me! However, this time he was really in need. He hasn't been feeling well the past few days. So, I let him lay in the playroom upstairs and watch Ratatouille for the second time this evening. We bought it today. I know the kids are going to watch it a few more times before the week's end. DS2 fell asleep on the floor. I should have taken a picture. He looked so cute and peaceful. However, I picked him up and put him back into his crib. I don't know how much longer we can keep him in a crib. He keeps trying to climb out. They grow up too fast!

- Jennifer

Sweet. One of my favorite photos of our son (now 29) is of him sleeping in a cardboard box. He was playing in it and fell asleep. :goodvibes

I know that you can see it from Pop Century and/or Caribbean Beach. Therefore, you could probably see it from Epcot, which is right nearby. My son lived in Orlando for a while and he says you can see it from a lot of places if you know where to look. Actually, a few years ago one of the shuttles headed up along the Atlantic Coast immediately after launch and we were able to see it from the beach a block from our house!

I take my computer so that I can download my photos every day, label them and burn them on CDs. I also use it to write my trip report. Cell phones get turned off and go in the safe so that we're not tempted to use them to call the people at work and say "Guess where we are?";)
