My mother owns a small Quilt shop and I still can't sew a stitch.. :rotfl: Well not on a machine anyway.. I can do small repairs and sew buttons back on but that is about it.. My mother and her friend teach Quilting Classes at her shop.. Hand and Machine..

I have so many rubberstamps and ink pads that at one point they no longer fit in the drawer.. :rolleyes1

I'm still trying to decide on how to design my Lime Green T-shirt for our Meet & Greet
It's funny, your mom sews, you don't, I sew, and my mom couldn't glue a button on.
Do we all get to make Lime Green T-shirts? If so what can we put on the shirts?
For our family shirts I want to make a sick green Jolly Roger pirate: with our team name, Sea Sick Psychos.
Will you be decorating your door? I really want to this year. I want to use a theme for the week. Not sure what it will be though.

Dh, my cook, is fascinated, I read this to him. We enjoyed Cajun food on our "road trip" through LA a few years ago; his background is Acadian, the "original" Cajuns, so we have a connection...I'm sure he'll be bugging you for recipes! Every now and again I find some detail from our conversations that perks up his ears. Most of those details are food related. ;)

So does that mean his relative are Cajuns? I was born, raised and still live right smack in the middle of Acadiana. BUT I don't cook, kinda know how but don't like to so DH does all the cooking. He's a Cajun too.

Sadly, No, we have not been able to obtain a Tshirt :sad2: Even on my hungriest day, I can't seem to eat an entire pie alone :headache:

Dh was barely able to do it, but he did. I did not even attempt it. My DS's and their friends have numerous t-shirts. They haven't been lately though...I guess they are growing up :).

We bought some shirts from the Disney Store.

Yes I am working on our door magnets

 :scared1: $200 for Tea!!! :scared: For how many people?

It's more than just tea. The little girl gets a princess doll, crown, wand bracelet, and they get to meet Sleeping Beauty. We did it for DD 3 years ago. She loved it and had many wonderful memories. We both did. :)

If you find a post by Jsmom2 here, in her signature line is a Link to our Plans..

There is a Logo we are all putting on one side of our T-Shirts.. Print it out on Iron On Transfer Paper..

There is also a Secret Mickey Exchange :santa: we are doing..

Yes.. I'd say we are ALL decorating doors and Hanging Christmas stockings for the SM exchange..

Awwww... I wish I had a DD :guilty:

My DS wouldn't think it would be so much fun :rotfl:

For $200 the princess needs to come home and do the dishes and :laundy:

Is anyone planning on being down by the 6th to see the Space Shuttle launch? I am thinking of coming down so we can see the launch. I think it would be amazing. What if it is delayed and we see it from the ship? That would really be special.pirate:

Welcome aboard! We'll be coming down early, but not specifically to see the shuttle. We'll be at WDW from 12/1 for a family vacation, and then leaving the family behind to go on the cruise.

Is Spring Lake any closer to you? :confused3 Maybe then, they'd go.. :rotfl:
I couldn't get them to leave the house. But it worked out alright, because Jim made spaghetti and english muffin pizzas for dinner, and "the kids" finally finished the home-schooling/work/TV room!

Does anyone here make Scrapbooks or make Handmade Crafts?? :confused3

I know Beth knits.. :thumbsup2
I do all kinds of needlecraft. Besides knitting I sew, needlepoint, crochet, cross stitch and tat. I don't know anyone else still alive who knows how to tat! Jim's very old aunt who lived in St. Petersburg, FL made me learn the one time I met her because she didn't want to die without showing someone else how to do it. I do some digital scrapbooking, and lots of computer-generated art, which frequently turns into cards, posters, etc. I have some of my art on my blog. If anyone's interested in seeing it, you can go here.

Oh, my other secret passion, anything relating to economics/economic policy.
I am into urban planning and economic development myself. I was lucky enough to accidentally get a job in the field!

There's a link in Wendy's (JsMom2) signature to the cruise blog. On there you'll find a logo for the T shirt (designed in part by me). Feel free to download and use it! There's lots of information there about our plans for the cruise.

My mother-in-law can't sew (or glue) anything either. She was thrilled when Jim and I got engaged. She used to save all of her mending projects for me when I would come to visit. I walked into her house one day and she asked if I could make slipcovers for her couch that day, since she was having a party the next day:scared1:. She is still completely clueless about things like that.

ooops :confused3

As you can see I'm not much of a game player.

It's alot of fun and you win prizes too.. or money.. depends on your group..

each table has at least 4 players.. always an even number of players..
the goal is to get as many dice to roll the number you are working on..

exp. 1

roll, you get a one, roll again, if you don't get a 1 your turn is over.. if you get all 1's in a roll you get a bunco..

Don't forget to turn the clocks back tonight :thumbsup2

Whoa, a Disney-addicted economist...now that's an original combination! I spent a year or two researching labour market info...made my brain hurt (I came so close to failing stats it isn't even funny), but I can see how it could be addictive, actually.

How old are your kids? I've got a 7 yo boy and a 4 yo girl.

And have you seen the link in Wendy's sig? (J'smom2) It's got all the cool plans for the cruise if you're interested.

I've heard of bunco but never played. My dh and I used to love playing a game called "One-twenty", but no-one here knows how to play. Time to start training the children, I guess. ;)

I did forget to include that I love statistics and playing with the results.

I have an 18 yo girl, 7 yo boy and a 4 yo girl. We bring the big one just to help wrangle the little ones. Not really, but that is what she keeps saying.
My 7 yo boy doesn't like the kids' club but I hope he will go some this year. I did just remember that a kid he knows from down the road will be going with his family this same week (assuming they haven't changed their plans.) If not, maybe he could meet your son.

How do I get to Wendy's sig and what is a sig? This is my first time ever doing this.

Bunco is a dice game played with three dice, kind of like Yahtzee. Only a lot easier. When my group plays, no one is even paying attention and one of the gals who likes to drink ends up calling out "BINGO" instead of "BUNKO" by the end of the night. It is really just a fun time with the girls. I did win "most losses" last month and walked away with $15. It was an exciting night and the first time I have ever won anything.

Arrgghh !! :pirate:

40 second rule got me 3 times !!!! Thought I missed it for sure
