I have No clue what a digital version is :confused3

Digital Scrapbooking is the latest craze in scrapbook. You do everything in the computer .... background, embellishments, journaling, etc. :surfweb:

I actually used to work for an online scrapbooking supply company so I have loads and loads of supplies. But I have yet to this day to actually put together a page. :lmao:

Since I got a discount working there, I'd put together whole themes and trips in my head and buy all the stuff. Now it's all in boxes. The best part though was when they had to make sample pages to display online. They'd use one or two pages and stickers out of these huge kits which they then couldn't sell, of course. So we'd all get together every couple months and "raffle" off the leftovers from the kits. It was awesome :thumbsup2

I really should start at least a couple of my older trips. :rolleyes1

:scared1: what is WRONG with you  I would go NUTS working for a Scrapbook company.. I'd be buying everything I could get my hands on.. Oh wait.. I do that now and I only work for a BAB :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

DH tells me I could open my own store with all the supplies I have :sad2:

Really???

That sounds awesome !!! :thumbsup2

But how does one embellish on a Computer? Do you make the page then print it out on Special paper??

Does anyone here make Scrapbooks or make Handmade Crafts?? :confused3

I know Beth knits.. :thumbsup2 I still knit backwards.. :confused3 I can't seem to get it right..

I think it was Jennifer who said she Makes Homemade Cards..

I love to scrap book and I am sooo behind.. I don't think there is a Disney picture out there that I don't have... I need to make my DCL book but I was so busy with the new house and daily life that my scrapbooking has been put on halt..

Last Year I made a wedding album for my Brother and his Wife.. I made all the pre made pages and all the bride to be *at that time* had to do was add some pictures.. I bought a scrapbook with a Framed front so They could use whatever Picture they wanted to.. I got such a Beautiful Thank You card from my SIL :sad1:

I have also made Cards with my Rubberstamps and I have a HUGE sticker collection as well..

I love to sew, cross stitch and knit. I really want to learn to quilt. I have just completed my first scrap book (DCL 2006, I bought everything on the boat). The book was very basic but I am so proud of myself for finishing and I think I will go look at it right now.

I hope the ship has 2007 scrapbook supplies. They were on sale last year in November so I hope they are not all gone when we board. Also, I am thinking of giving my mom and mom-in-law a new scrap book and sending them a couple of pages of what the kids are doing each month to fill it up as the year goes by. I don't think I could complete two books by Christmas, but I can start two. I thought the first two pages might be of the cruise.

I have an extensive rubber stamp collection and have done nothing with them. Too many decisions.
:surfweb:

I am working on a design for our family shirts for the trip. We refer to ourselves as the Sea Sick Psychos.

That was me, I went for 3 Semesters of college. I got a job at "Heaven on Seven" any Chicago dissers will know it. Its an upscale cajun restaurant, i was a fry cook....It did not go well at all! i didnt know that being a cook entailed scrubing grease off of a wall from 2-4 in the morning after the restaurant closed. It was a great job from 4pm to 11pm!
I love to bake too! do i smell a disboards recipe exchange?popcorn::

I'm from Chicago and I have been to Heaven on Seven. Will this be your first winter in Florida? Gee, won't you miss windchill, the wind off the lake, and lake effect snow? NOT!

Dh, my cook, is fascinated, I read this to him. We enjoyed Cajun food on our "road trip" through LA a few years ago; his background is Acadian, the "original" Cajuns, so we have a connection...I'm sure he'll be bugging you for recipes! Every now and again I find some detail from our conversations that perks up his ears. Most of those details are food related. ;)

Okay, I just have to tell some sneaky Jasmine stories for JoiseyMom.
But wait, that's not the funny part....When I asked her, "Jasmine, have you been in my lipstick?" She looks at me with a straight face, and says "no Mommy." I said, "why don't you go look in the mirror and then let me know if you want to change your answer?" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Then about a month ago, She said, "that's really funny. But sorry, I'll have to delete it since my Mom goes through my Email sometimes." Haha she FORGOT about deleting her own messages. :lmao:

Ah, they crack me up. Ds was horrified when I busted him on looking at the "products" section of the Lego website which had been forbidden. (He "covets" like crazy. I'm trying to explain to him that covetousness is one of the 7 deadlies!) I didn't tell him I just had to click on the "history" list. The less he knows about my secret powers, the better.

HMM didn realize it cost so much for the tea. WOW I cant find any other Princess dining other than in the parks. Epcot and Magic Kingdom @_@

Guess they want you in the parks lol who knew ;)

That's the "My Disney Girl Perfectly Princess Tea", it was $200 for the "princess" and one guest, though I haven't looked into it recently. It's at the GF, and hosted by...some magical creature called Rosebud I think, and Aurora puts in an appearance. It's kept quite small I understand, and the price includes some fancy doll for each girl. I will probably do it with dd sometime (I am enjoying the princess thing myself!), but she's still not really into "fancy" dolls, and I want her to be old enough to remember it!!

I LOVE love love to Bake and decorate everything I bake.. Once you see me on the ship you will know just what Baking all the time gets me.. popcorn::
I don't bake anything special so I have no fancy receipes :sad2: I can make Chocolate Chip cookies and others from scratch... But other then that cake mix comes from a box..
When DS was young, I would melt chocolate down and make the lollipop molds for whatever Holiday is class was celebrating..

I do that too, and cooking for kids is all about presentation! At least the special stuff...for the kids' Halloween party I made a really cool goblin cheese ball, monster mouths with apples...love doing cakes for birthday parties, but it's ALL ABOUT the icing anyway so I never bother with a scratch cake. I'm going to have to figure out that photobucket thing so I can share some pics.

I love Fantasia, and Fantasia 2000!

We ended up watching "Mulan II", I seem to be the only one who wants to see Fantasia!! pout.

Jim gives new meaning to the word "pastyness". With his red hair and pale skin, all that happens when he gets out in the sun is that his skin turns bright red and his freckles turn green! Oh well, with those colors, at least he'll blend in with the Christmas decorations!:rotfl2:

:lmao:

So does anyone here bake Baklava? Cause I've had a wicked craving for fresh Baklava... :confused3

Harry & David Catalogs are just plain Evil !!

Dh does, but I don't think we're allowed to bring food across the border. Give him a kitchen, though...

Is anyone planning on being down by the 6th to see the Space Shuttle launch? I am thinking of coming down so we can see the launch. I think it would be amazing. What if it is delayed and we see it from the ship? That would really be special.pirate:

:welcome: Hey, another shipmate! Welcome! We booked our flight for obscenely early on the 6th, we'll be in Orlando by 10 am so we can head out to Canaveral. Brack and Mrs Mork got to see a launch (last year?) from the ship, the capt waited...somewhere in this huge thread Brack posted a pic. I don't want it to get delayed b/c I'll then obsess about it but it sure would be cool to see it from the ship...:cloud9:

Thank You !!

I LOVE a deal and I can't seem to get myself to pay full price for anything anymore.. Besides.. the more I save.. The more DCL Trips I can take ;)

Here here. A girl after my own heart.

Our house is an Old Victorian, 130+ years old.. and in an Old Victorian town too.. and ya know what.. We STILL go to a B&B in Cape May for Special Occassions :confused3

You know when you posted your Hallowe'en train pic, one of my first thoughts was "that'd make a great b&b"! :goodvibes

My mother owns a small Quilt shop and I still can't sew a stitch.. :rotfl: Well not on a machine anyway.. I can do small repairs and sew buttons back on but that is about it.. My mother and her friend teach Quilting Classes at her shop.. Hand and Machine..

I have so many rubberstamps and ink pads that at one point they no longer fit in the drawer.. :rolleyes1

I'm still trying to decide on how to design my Lime Green T-shirt for our Meet & Greet

The closest we came to scrapbooking, after our trip in Jan/Feb last year my sis put together a book via the Photopass website...they had all sorts of backgrounds and layouts available, and you plug in your own captions and photos. It also gets professionally bound, so it looks pretty nice. But I was too cheap to pay for a copy for myself! I just "donated" some of my .jpgs.

Welcome! Just jump right in here. This is a very friendly group. Tell us about yourself.

We are traveling with a large group. Me, DH, DD and DSIL, DM, DSis, nephew and his wife, neice and her hubby and their children. 13 total.

I thought we had a large group. Myself, DH,DD,DS,DB,DM and my other DD. We just found out big DD could go because she rescheduled her college exams. I think we have our priorities in the correct place.

I am not sure what you would be interested in knowing. Here goes...I homeschool my two youngest, run a couple of truck repair facilities, active with church, love to craft/decorate for holidays, I am remodeling my home and have a terrible addiction to anything Disney. None of my friends have any idea how much I love Disney. Oh, my other secret passion, anything relating to economics/economic policy.

That sounds awesome !!! :thumbsup2

But how does one embellish on a Computer? Do you make the page then print it out on Special paper??

It can be cut out or just printed along with everything on the paper. With shading and other things it looks very realistic. :surfweb:

I am going to be missing my monthly bunco party while we are on the cruise. I almost changed the cruise date so I wouldn't miss. Would we have time to play a round or two on the ship? Anyone interested?

So, um, the big excitement here tonight was some awful piercing alarm starting up somewhere in the house...took a while to track it down to the furnace room, and obviously I assumed it was the furnace, which'll freak a girl out...On closer inspection it turned out to be our septic pump. Who knew a septic pump even needed an alarm?? The previous owner, God love him, left a slip of paper with all the names of the service people tacked to the wall above the alarm thingie. ....So, Mr Please-don't-talk-to-me-on-a-dark-rainy-weekend-night Service Guy was pretty discouraging. Dig it up! Call the pumping company to pump the tank! Then I'll come look at your alarm...

It went off two or three times after that, with dh resetting it, but has (knock wood) been quiet for a few hours now. I am really, really hoping it has something to do with the Noel-inspired downpour we are experiencing, and we really don't have to dig the whole thing up...we don't know much about septic, but did get a recent pumping certificate as part of the purchase, so I can't understand why we'd need to pump it again so soon. Pllllease let it be the rain, and plllllllease let it self-resolve without anything nasty backing up into my basement...

You know when you posted your Hallowe'en train pic, one of my first thoughts was "that'd make a great b&b"! :goodvibes

We don't have enough Bedrooms.. :lmao: We only have 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.. Did you know YEARS ago you were Taxed on Bathrooms and Closets

We do have a walkable attic which is the "play room" that can always be made into Bedrooms..

:thumbsup2

ETA: Does anyone have any of the other styles of Crocs than the traditional ones? They've really been pumping out the new styles lately. I was looking at the website and thought I might like to try the "Nile" style, but I've called around and no one locally seems to stock them. I hate buying stuff like that off the web cause you never know how the sizes are gonna run.

Yes, I have 2 pairs of the flip flops and LOVE them. I was not a beliver until I wore mine at Disney and really my feet were so fine at the end of the day. My sis has the MaryJanes and the boat shoes and is on her feet all day for work and swears by them.

I'm assuming that it is a card game if so there are some players on the thread. My DW is one.

WELCOME!
I quilt. My best advise is to take classes. They teach you all the tricks. I took 10 weeks of hand piecing and hand quilting lessons and then 10 weeks of machine piecing and machine quilting lessons. I took the classes through the local high schol district. I have made quilts from queen size to Teddy Bear cradle size. (I collect Tedy Bears and some of them are in a cradle, I made a bear claw quilt for them.)
I also collect scrapbooking supplies :rolleyes1 with hopes of working on them in the winter. I have an ongoing White Sox scrapbook I started in 2005. My winter plan is to make a cruise scrapbook with the Shutters pictures we have from our five previous cruises and this one.

I am remodeling my home and have a terrible addiction to anything Disney. None of my friends have any idea how much I love Disney. Oh, my other secret passion, anything relating to economics/economic policy.

Whoa, a Disney-addicted economist...now that's an original combination! I spent a year or two researching labour market info...made my brain hurt (I came so close to failing stats it isn't even funny), but I can see how it could be addictive, actually.

How old are your kids? I've got a 7 yo boy and a 4 yo girl.

And have you seen the link in Wendy's sig? (J'smom2) It's got all the cool plans for the cruise if you're interested.

I've heard of bunco but never played. My dh and I used to love playing a game called "One-twenty", but no-one here knows how to play. Time to start training the children, I guess. ;)

I am going to be missing my monthly bunco party while we are on the cruise. I almost changed the cruise date so I wouldn't miss. Would we have time to play a round or two on the ship? Anyone interested?

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

I played when I was younger, I'd fill in for MoM when she hosted and had to get desserts and coffee going..

Then I was a Player on her group for several years when 1 of their players moved away.. But.. the group broke up due to illnesses and family deaths and never started back up..

My mom plays now, but I'm not allowed  It's at her Clubhouse in her retirement community.. I'm too young :sad2:

Wow I have sooooo missed Bunco.. I wonder if there is a way to find a local group around here.. :confused3
