I'm trying to do the opposite :lmao: so I don't have to carry anything ..... except my camera

Same here. I did that carry everything on so I don't have to wait to get my bag while I was doing a lot of travel for work. Now it's just easier to check it all, and carry only the camera. :)

Not sure if this was ever covered or not but does anyone here have a My Space page?

Mine is under pfishgirl :thumbsup2 But you need to be a friend in order to view it.. So if you have a page, drop me a line :goodvibes

We shut off the lights at 8pm. Curse them for moving the end of DST to next weekend. The kids did not get started until around 6PM and I finally shut down/gave out the last of the stuff around 8.

We had a goodly amount of kids and a neighbor took Cocoa out since I was the only one left at home. She had a good haul though I cannot believe anyone still gives out Pixy Stix. Of course most people are not old enough to remember that horrible Halloween night. I immediately threw the three she received away.

We lived in the same neighborhood as the man did who put cyanide laced pixy stix in his son's candy haul which killed him of course. He did it to collect the insurance money. The state of Texas eventually put that horrid monster to death. He ruined Halloween night for many and did a horrible terrible thing.

I was frustrated at the amount of kids who did not say Thank You. :headache::mad::headache:

We had some guy put razor blades and pins in the chocolate bars many years ago.. :sad2:

I was surprised at how many of the children DID say Thank You and Happy Halloween :goodvibes

slow night.. I guess everyone is still giving out Candy or getting their Gobblins showered and in bed.. :goodvibes

:guilty: I did! :thumbsup2

You did such a great job I said to myself "Why try anything else?" So I pirate:ed it!

Brack, you pirate: you!!

Okay, I shuffled my iPod, here are the first ten (+1) that play:

Travelin' Soldier by the Dixie Chicks
Down Once More by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom Soundtrack)
Beauty and the Beast by Kenny Loggins
All Its Ask of You by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom again! )
You Know I'm No Good by Amy Winehouse
Razzle Dazzle by Richard Gere (Chicago Soundtrack))
Winding Road by Bonnie Somerville (Garden State Soundtrack)
Crazy Faith by Alison Kraus and Union Station
Big River by Trick Pony
Mendocino County Line by Willie Nelson
Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

And since that doesn't nearly cover my favorites, I'm going to add a few more of what I would play next:

Iron & Wine
Jason Mraz
Justin Timberlake
Michael Buble
Nina Simone
The Shins
Train
Fergie
and finally, my favorite band of all time, Blue October.

Trick or treating is over. Way too much candy left over. FYI, I'll be packing some chocolate in my Secret Santa bag... (none for you, Beth!;) )

The only one I don't have from above is Park Place. But I'm guessing it's kinda moot, cause I'm never gonna get Boardwalk. :sad2: ;)

We haven't had any :sad1: I didn't really expect any since we live in a security building and there's only actually a few kids in the building.

Growing up, we lived in the middle of nowhere, so never had any. The first place we lived after we married was in a neighborhood with older residents, so again, no kids. Then we bought our house and for 3 glorious years we had loads of trick or treaters :goodvibes Then DH said "We're moving to California." :sad1:

Does anyone know anything about College meets on the DCL ? In September DS will be too old for stacks and someone mentioned a College group that meets on the ship.. :confused3 I've never heard about it have you?

Why doesn't this place seem busy when I have the time to spend here!! Where is everyone?? :confused3

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my kids and for my own mommy guilt about missing the school's call. :goodvibes We had a total of 15 trick or treaters; for a while I thought we weren't getting any, the first one came around 7. Last year in our old neighbourhood we had about 120. My kids got excited though b/c I let them get their own treats from the bowl every time someone came to our door. (As if they won't get the leftovers anyway!) They're both still "off", that much is clear, as they were both in bed by 8:30 and didn't make a peep thereafter, even with the neighbour shooting off fireworks. (Ok, I know that's fun, but c'mon, your neighbours have little kids!:sad2: ) But the kids were nice, even the ones that were a bit scary to my little softies. Dh and I will find a way to make it up to them on the w/e. Ds is staying home tomorrow to recover, he still had a fever at bedtime and has had about 25% of his normal amount of food this day.

I'm anxiously watching this shuttle mission, there's a snag (literally) with a solar panel that could lengthen this mission and maybe delay the next one. :guilty:

Glad the little goblins all seem to have had fun!

And, ok, enough, I want my cabin assignment now!! I've waited long enough! Dh is away on business and when we were chatting tonight he said "I've been seeing last-minute rates for other cruises in December--could we add on another one??" :rotfl: Not even been once and he's ready to do a back-to-back! Maybe he's happy to be not driving for a week! I don't think that idea will go anywhere though, I don't want to change our return any later (too close to the holidays as is) and, honestly, I'm really lookign forward to taking it easy on Sanibel for a few days. Nice to know he's enthusiastic though!

Hey pfishgirl, your towns parade is the front page of app.com!

I don't know anything about college meets. They do have times for singles to meet. I haven't been to one as at my age <G> by the time dinner is over I am hitting the bed LOL.

Really though late seating, I have always had 8:30p and most nights were in there until 10:30p. Only night I left dinner early was pirate night so I could get a good place on deck 10 to watch the party and fireworks. Just told servers no matter where we were in dinner I was leaving at 9;30.

Isn't it sad that by 11p I am usually back in the stateroom heading for bed? LOL

No, it's not that sad... With my 4 boys, my wife and I are usually extremely ready for bed by 9pm :)
