This has probably been covered and sorry I have had chance to read thru all the posts/thread, but do ppl dress up for pirates night?

I do and it's fun.

I also heard the ship will be already decorated for Christmas so I am looking forward to seeing this. Wondering if ppl dress more for the holidays?

I don't really have holiday clothes, mostly I wear disney scrub tops during the day.

I am getting so excited now and just wish Dec 8 would come sooner than later.

Love the pics, if you bring your minnie we just might have to bring our mickey but he is NAKED!!!:scared1: the boys took his tuxedo off and it is somewhere in one of many, many, boxes. Do you have a main or late seating??

bringing a naked Mickey would still be fun. and i am sure he and minnie would love to see each other and get some pics together.

i am listed as late seating but thought i had early. i don't really care which seating as long as I am eating LOL

and i love having choc chip cookies in the room througout the cruise. so when i wake up at 3am i can eat a cookie. oh the fruit bowl from room service i enjoy having most of the week as well. no matter what seating i have i tend to want more food after i get back to room at bedtime, and when i wake up during the night <G>

by the way WDW parks have a pirate outfit, pin trading, rain poncho, mickey mouse club outfits for Pal Mick. Last year they had santa suit so wondering if they will bring that one out again this year.

didn't even know that you could pick up outfits at WDW for PM, when we went in feb I spent all of my shopping time looking for the 1st Precious Moment figure but I found it and many, many more that I just had to have.

We have an early seating and I don't know how the boys are going to react to eating dinner during their usual snack time. I am thinking that we will be ordering a lot room service too.

the boys will do fine as the servers will provide lots of attention. plus they can give them activity color sheets to do while waiting for the food. by the way they are fun for adults too LOL

precious momenets figures are so cute. glad you found them. i totally understand having to have more of something. i tend to need more and more plush characters. so far i have mickey, minnie, pluto, goofy cruise line plushes. i need donald and daisy which will get in Dec. Plus if i see a new plush key chain i have to get that as well. i love at the parks giving the plush key chains away to kids or even adults that seem to just love them as much as I do. so i give one away and go buy another. thats the advantage of living so close to the parks, and having an annual pass.

night, sleep well

Are there any DIS meets scheduled for the cruise?

I love meeting DIS ppl on the first day in the terminal and/or at a schedule meet around 3p once we board. that way get to put ppl faces with names and do so before the safety drill.

so if there are any schedule meets on the ship let me know, as I would enjoy meeting other DISer's even if to just say hello.

I'm sitting in my Mickey Room too.
I was thinking today about getting out the Christmas music. Maybe tomorrow.
We have a radio station here that will soon play Christmas music 24 hours a day. Every year they start earlier. It is such a happy season, we can't wait.
My friends and I call in sick once a year and go to Downtown Chicago to have lunch (under the big tree) in the Walnut Room in Marshall Fields (now known as Macys:sad2: ). We take the train into the city and take a cab just like big girls! Last year we even had our picture taken with Santa (you're never too old to have a happy childhood) even though I am not a "Santa" person. This year we are going November 27, because two of us will be busy cruising in December.

Sounds like a really fun time.

Our Meier and Frank is now Macys too. :sad2:

I took Minnie on the Sept cruise and she has clothes for each day and dinner clothes.

here are couple pics of her on the June cruise:

Ok so I am way over the top as a disney fanatic <G> LOL

Right on!! :thumbsup2 We will be wearing our lime green shirts so we can recognize each other in the terminal, then an official planned meet at 3 pm deck 10. :dance3: :woohoo: Several other things planned. There is a link by Wendy's signature for info.

I was and apology accepted.

Being a single Mom is the norm for me, so I guess I forget that when you are used to sharing the load that it can be disruptive when one parent is gone. Now that my DD is 9 I joke with her that my workload goes UP when she's at her Dad's house, because I have to do all the chores. :laundy: :rotfl2:

One thing I discovered when my DD was about 5 is that 2 kids are easier than 1! Having a same-age friend over to spend time with your DD will free up your time. And then the beauty is that you can get your alone time by sending DD to the friend's house once in awhile.

Single Moms (and spouses of deployed military folks) do this for weekends at a time and its wonderful. :cloud9: And my DD, as an only child, loves having other kids over! :woohoo:

I hope this helps. I'm sure you can find a solution that works for you. :thumbsup2

MRSA is all over the news here. I am starting to get a little paranoid about it. I know there are germs and bugs all around that can harm us, but I hope DCL's disinfecting standards are up to snuff especially in the kid's clubs.

What is MSRA? I can tell you that DCL's disinfection procedures are incredible. The kids have to use hand gel before they enter the clubs, and they handout wipes to all the diners at each meal - as you enter the dining rooms. You also have handgel and wipes at the entrance to the ship each time you board. I've heard their standards are even more stringent during cold/flu season.

One of my pet peeves is the folks who refill their water bottles at the drink station, and put the mouth of the bottle right on the spigot. ewww!

The current score is based upon

My DD has a Pirate dress I paid $45 for on our last cruise in June, so she'll definitely be dressing up!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I bought a pirate dress online, although I may need to lose a few pounds to get into it. One of my DD's friends looked at the dress, then looked at me, and asked "is that for YOU??" Then she said, "Is that why you're on a diet?" Then she gave me a look, and said "I'm just SAYING!!" :lmao:

Marsha, did you hear about the bridal shower we are doing on the second sea day for our DIS bride? Just send me an email at wendybirch@yahoo.com and I'll add you to the planning email we are sending around!

Don't you hate it when you buy your kid a cute stuffed animal in a darling outfit, and they RIP the outfit off and throw it away?? :confused3

Marsha,
In addition to the shower, we were also planning on meeting up at the end of the day each night.

Also Pirate Night photo in the atrium.

Check the blog in my signature line for info. I try to keep that updated, so information doesn't get lost in the thread!

It is not norovirus. Everything in the clubs has to be disinfected. I feel a bit better reading the above, but still a bit paranoid about it.
