WE GOT DISNEY MAIL TODAY!!

Announcement from DVC of the 2008 Members Only Cruise! Sept 21-25 another double dip at CC. We won't be going since we are on the Canal cruise in May. But getting the mail was exciting!

Thanks Angie, I just checked the DVC website and it shows the points required to book the cruise but not the $ amounts. Is that in the mail I'll be getting? I think the Member cruises are more expensive than the regular cruises is that right?

Have you done a Member cruise? What kind of extras do they include? We haven't been on the Wonder, so this might be a good opportunity.

No Euro coins yet. She'd love it if you'd bring her some. We use them for teaching geography and history.

I think you should use Stacy's strategy and try to "avoid" the pirates.

That "almost pirate" was an accident. It was so quiet here, and the board was slow, the computer was slow, and it almost happened. I'll be more careful from now on so that I can avoid them!

Well, it's off to work for me. Unfortunately, the boss and my secretary will both be in the office today, so I'll actually have to do some work. I will set aside some time for DISing, though!

No brunch reservations still this morning. I had to resort to eBay to pick up one of the cars last night, but I won a Darrell Cartrip. The lister also has a Mario Andretti for Buy It Now. I made an offer to her if it doesn't sell to buy it for what I paid for Darrell. I am going to go broke buying these cars.

In other news, I made some headway with her teacher about taking her out of the state Pre-K. She is much more understanding than the director. I explained we had this trip booked since January of 2006 and it was long since paid for. I have to talk to the Director again tomorrow morning.

We had a great trip to the House of the Mouse but it was way too short. Well, aren't they all? Well the kids were extremely surprised and had a blast. I know Jennifer is going to be on later today with a more detailed report but I have to tell you this trip has made me even more excited for the cruise and to meet all of you in person. We ran into so many nice people at WDW and it really adds to the experience to see fellow Disney addicts. Well, I had better get to my 1200+ e-mails that have come in during my 3 days out but I still have Disney on the mind. Oh, and you might be able to tell from our signature how good of a trip it was.

Grrr. I am convinced something is wrong with the website. I cannot believe all of the PALO brunch reservations over three days have been taken this far out. You would think that all the dinners would have been taken as well, but I was able to make mine at 75 days.

I just went in Sept but am so addicted LOL. Plus I figured this is a good way for me to help get thru the holidays since I just lost my mother in August this year.

There is no info as to cost in the mailing. Just the date and time to call and book. If you want to go you need to be on the phone at opening and use the 407 number NOT the 800 number. (tip) It is more expensive than regular cruises. They give LOTS of really nice gifts. One each evening was left on our bed. I think the tips are included now. We went on the first, did not get thru for the second as I was trying to use the 800 number. It is a very fun cruise. If we were not doing the Canal and a Geek cruise in Jan 2009 I would be all over this!

Brady961--Welcome! My condolences on the loss of your mother. A cruise with this gang will surely help you get through the holidays! It's very easy to get addicted. It's a good thing that there doesn't seem to be a cure. We will have to suffer this addiction forever!

Well, I finally managed to book my train fare to Florida. I still haven't quite decided whether to fly home or take the train, but I still have a little while to decide. Train fares stay the same price, and they don't book up as quickly as flights. I may be able to get a good last-minute flight and spend that extra day at WDW.

Welcome! Cruising can definitely be addicting! It's been 3 years since our first cruise and we're excited about this one. I'm even scheming how we can book at least two cruises for next year while we're on board.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.

I'm guessing you got the awesome FL resident rate for this cruise.. in which case, it hardly even counts! I'd say, plan on doing March 08 as well! It's like they're practically making us go on the cruises now...

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my mom--it's just over two years, hard to believe--but it's not something that you "get over" quickly. I hope the cruise makes the season brighter for you.

Amber I still have nothign for Palo--ok I have a late dinner on pirate night which I have no intention of using, but at least it lets me see further in the booking process. It's my understanding that they keep a LOT (most?) of the tables open for booking on board. Fair enough, not everyone can/knows to book online, though it's frustrating if you want to get it out of the way. I keep hoping that more will open up on line, but if they don't everyone I've asked says we'll be able to get something on the first day on board.

Thank you JoAnne! No, we didn't get to see the shuttle. They had extra magic hours at MK the night before so we were some tired pups the next day. I see there is another launch scheduled for December 6th so maybe we can catch that one. And if not, it just gives us more excuses to tap into our DVC points to try and see the next launch.

I wonder if we can exchange reservations once we board? Jim and I would rather go to Palo on Pirate Night (we're just not into all the activity at dinner) and would be willing to switch with you for our reservation on Thursday night at 8:30 PM if they'll let us.
