The only kind of ethnic cuisine my DH will eat is Italian and the occasional Chinese. I have to get my fix of Mexican, Japanese, Peruvian, and everything else by going out with friends. Another reason cruising is perfect!

I thought you said you were going to try to stay pirateless! I thought you were delaying posting on purpose. I'm lucky I have this old one as backup though... I can't imagine how tough life would be on my old laptop at this point. So slow....

I was wondering how the other Floridians on here were planning on getting to port.
How much is it to park all week? Its either that, drive an hour to orlando and take the magic express (if this is possible) or convince my parents to drive 3 hours to drop us off and pick us up.
Once i paid for our cruise wedding, the disney wedding coordinator stopped returning my calls (it's been 3 weeks and 4 calls/messages left after they told me she was in the office and couldnt take my call) I have never been treated like this by anyone at disney before
Oh well....6 weeks to go! But still so much to plan!

That's horrible! I would say, the next time you call, if they say she's unable to take your call say "Oh, that's fine, I'll just speak to her supervisor, please." That might get the wheels turning a little bit. Is she land-based? I wonder if there's someone you could email directly on the ship as well to help you coordinate.

I'm not in Florida, but I believe the current rate to park at the port is $12/day and it has to be paid upfront when you pull in the day of the cruise. There isn't technically ME from Orlando to the port, but there is a DCL bus service that's practically the same. It's $69 per person, round trip and you can get on either at MCO or at some of the park hotels. If my math skills are working, that would still make parking at the port cheaper though.

Thanks! This helps alot. My parents wanted to see the space center, but i felt bad about having them do the drive twice. We will be driving then!
I have been under alot of stress lately and have taken to over planing...but i think alot of us are guilty of that sometimes!

I actually wasn't trying for the pirate, and didn't even realize until after the post that I was that close! This computer is one that I bought refurbished from a charity organization a few years ago. It's laid out a little differently from the one I use most often. It has one of those little thumb pointer things instead of a touch pad, and the keyboard is smaller. It makes me have to stop and think while I'm typing! Oh well, at least it works!

I took some time today to roll up all the loose change we've collected lately. I had a vase full and another half jar. It was $95 worth of change!

That's going straight into the drink of the day fund.

I think I will let them pick up the tab for the popcorn and candy, they love paying with their own money, makes them feel like big boys.

That is just too sweet! : I've been meaning to ask, how was the birthday party?

I love my crockpot! I'd be lost without it during the winter. We make lots of soups, stews and chili!

Mine is still lost in the last set of boxes...we uncluttered for the sale in May and the crockpot didn't seem necessary--now it's October and I want it!!

I'm really sorry to hear this...that must be soooo frustrating. And, um, brides plan. That's what they do. She should be there to help you, not just make you stressed! I hope you get answers soon.

Don't let yourself get too stressed. If your wedding coordinator won't take your call, follow Cruise's suggestion and ask for her supervisor. I bet she'll take your calls then. If not, demand another coordinator. It's your wedding, after all! Everything will work out just fine in the end, I"m sure!

We moved in October of last year. My crockpot was one of the first things we moved into the house.

WE GOT DISNEY MAIL TODAY!!

Announcement from DVC of the 2008 Members Only Cruise! Sept 21-25 another double dip at CC. We won't be going since we are on the Canal cruise in May. But getting the mail was exciting!

It really is hard isn't it? After all the anticipation is half the fun, and it's so much fun to share it with them.

I plan to include our email address so anyone who wants can keep in touch with us. We plan (plan, plan) to start traveling soon and have already several DISers we will be seeing occassionally.

We will be here in Belgium until 2010!

My DGD collects foreign coins. If you would bring a few, I'll give you the equivalent in American coins!

I think you should use Stacy's strategy and try to "avoid" the pirates.
