As far as drop and dash--I suspect our style will be more of a "drop and hobble slowly away", so just pretend that you don't see us, alright?

Beth

We're more the "Drop & Shuffle Away" types ourselves. :lmao:

Just talked to my DW. She just passed Richmond so she should be home around midnight.

In the morning she has to travel to Cambridge, MD for a 9AM meeting. That's a two hour drive. This weekend she travels to west WV for two days.

We're going to need this vacation!

My computer is giving me trouble tonight. I live less than 200 feet from a train track. Their communications radios operate on the same frequency as my wireless network, so that every time a train comes through I lose my connection. I've tried everything, and now I just watch the clock for the train schedule. At least it's not a busy line after commuter hours. There should be only one train every half hour from now until about 2:30 AM. Maybe I should just get up in the wee hours of the morning and try to do all my online stuff?

Beth

I'm SO excited about that!!! BTW!! Did you hear Jorja Fox is LEAVING CSI??!!! I couldn't believe it!!!! She said she has other dreams that she wants to fulfill before she gets too old!! :scared1: :sad1:

Are you excited about CSI or the fact that I will be away watching it? ;) XBOX won out so we are recording it to watch after kids go to sleep.

:scared1: I don't see how they can do that. :confused3 The frequencies should be guarded to prevent this from happening. You could make a complaint to the FCC for this. :surfweb: Interferring with DISing is a crime.

I've been trying to enter my McDonalds Monoply codes online but their website is experiencing extreme difficulty.

I had an upsized meal from them tonight so I could get the codes. :rolleyes1

:lmao: I'll trade you an Oriental Avenue for a Boardwalk, ok?!? :rotfl:

I actually found a thing online where someone had listed what the "rare" pieces are. Between me and DH, we have all the non-rare pieces... just waiting on that one lucky one.

I agree that interfering with the DIS is a crime! And they assure me that it can't possibly be happening. You see, it's just a coincidence that the only time my computer drops its connection is when a train passes, and that every time a train passes my computer drops its connection. Oh well--I could always go downstairs and use the computer that's hard-wired, but then I would lose all the comforts of sitting here by myself! These few minutes of peace and quiet are awesome!

I do have three 'New York Ave' and two 'Marvin Gardens' to trade. :thumbsup2

Hmm, I'm going to the real Atlantic City for almost a week next month. After I get back from there I can really start getting into "cruise mode". Before then, I have to concentrate on making sure that I have everything I need ready for my convention!

And I just found out today that I have a lot of vacation time that I had forgotten about, so I'm taking a few extra days and will stay in Atlantic City an extra night or two. My DDIL and granddaughter will join me, and we can have some fun--kind of like a "warm up" for vacation. DS and DH will come and pick us up at the end of the week.

Beth

If I had Boardwalk I'd be on the Magic for a month ..... in the Walt Disney suite! :goodvibes

Wasn't there a story a while back about some elderly lady who was basically living on one of the cruise ships? She said she'd worked it out and it was about the same as paying for a retirement home and this was a much better quality of life. Works for me!

I've also spent time looking at the website for Residensea. That wouldn't be so bad either. :thumbsup2

By the way, a bucket of Maryland crabs would be a great idea--well, maybe not for the cruise!

We used to have a vacation home in Maryland (outside of Elkton in a lovely little place called Cecilton), and would travel once in a while to a small town called Rock Hall for the best crabs I've ever had. In recent years, though, Jim has developed a serious allergy to crabs, so I don't eat them very much!
