Oh that was funny...first time I've been around for a few pirates--but that just went "boom"! 7 posts or so between refreshes...

Wasn't there a story a while back about some elderly lady who was basically living on one of the cruise ships? She said she'd worked it out and it was about the same as paying for a retirement home and this was a much better quality of life. Works for me!

I've also spent time looking at the website for Residensea. That wouldn't be so bad either. :thumbsup2

There is a cruise line that "rents" out a certain number of cabins to older people who are self sufficient and need little care.

I'd do it! :thumbsup2

Are you excited about CSI or the fact that I will be away watching it? ;) XBOX won out so we are recording it to watch after kids go to sleep.

Dude, honestly, I'm more jealous that you have Halo 3!!! :cool1: I REALLY like to play, but something in my head that every time I play a first-person game like that, I get EXTREME motion sickness!!!! When I first started playing with a couple of REALLY GOOD friends that had played Halo for years, I learned to run REALLY fast towards my friends and lead the other teams to them so they could kill 'em. Hence my name on XBox: RUNMASTER!!!!! Grrr!!!

That train came through two minutes early! And I thought I might get my first pirate! Oh well, maybe I can get the next one if my timing is right!

Or maybe I'll just wait for that 10,000th. Of course, with my luck it will be while I'm tied up at the convention in AC. I have to be on the convention floor all day each of the three days of the event. It's a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work and a lot of being on my feet!

Anyway, congrats, Brack!

By the way, a bucket of Maryland crabs would be a great idea--well, maybe not for the cruise!

We used to have a vacation home in Maryland (outside of Elkton in a lovely little place called Cecilton), and would travel once in a while to a small town called Rock Hall for the best crabs I've ever had. In recent years, though, Jim has developed a serious allergy to crabs, so I don't eat them very much!

Beth

I can't eat them. :snooty: They are WAY too messy. I hate to break my food up by hand to eat a spoonful of meat.

A farmer named Clyde had a car accident.

In court, the trucking company’s fancy hot shot lawyer, was questioning Clyde. Didn’t you say, at the scene of the accident, I’m fine? asked the lawyer.

Clyde responded, Well, I’ll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite cow, Bessie, into the …

I didn’t ask for any details.. the lawyer interrupted. Just answer the question, please. Did you, or did you not say, at the scene of the accident, “I’m fine.”

Clyde said, “Well, I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road.”

The lawyer interrupted again and said, “Your Honour, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question.”

By this time, the Judge was fairly interested In Clyde’s answer and said to the lawyer, “I’d like to hear what he has to say about his favorite cow, Bessie.”

Clyde thanked the Judge and proceeded. “Well, as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favourite cow, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other. I was hurting, real bad and didn’t want to move. However, I could hear old Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans.

Shortly after the accident a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning, so he went over to her. After he looked at her, and saw her fatal condition, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.

Then the Patrolman came across the road, gun still in hand, looked at me, and said, “How are you feeling?” “Now tell me, what the h**l would you say?”

Does anybody wonder what happened to some of the early posters on this thread who don't post any more? Are any of you just lurking around?

I saw on another board that flagger (who started this thread) has had to cancel his trip because of a medical problem. Just today, I was scanning the early pages of this thread and saw lots of names that don't show up any more. I assume some people just changed their plans, but where are the others? Did we scare them away?

OK, I'm heading off to watch ER. If I can stay awake, I may be back before I go to bed. If not, have a good night, everyone!

Am I the Only one that would actually LOVE to have a busel of Crabs from Maryland?? :confused3

We actually travel to Maryland and Delaware for Crabs :cloud9:

My mom keeps saying just as soon as the boys are big enough we are going to make a road trip down there to attend one of the "festivals" my guys just love crab legs, shrimp and lobster.

Brack know of any seafood 'festival' type things

I'm Not listening *closes eyes * la la la la la* :rolleyes1

We got cute little pairs of towel animals on the bed. Guess the mousekeeper noticed that there were two of everything in the room for the boys or :rolleyes1 it could have been the Visa pic on the nightstand that gave it away.

I wondered about that too. Every so often, it seems like one pops back up. I didn't know that about flagger though. Someone had just said the other day that his TA confirmed one of the private rooms for his group for brunch. So it must have just been in the last day or two. :confused3

I'm guessing some people might just pop in to say "Hi! We're on this trip!" but then don't check back in every day to chat. And I'd guess the length of the thread might be somewhat overwhelming for someone who hasn't checked in since page 4. :lmao:

I'll take ya up on that! :thumbsup2
