So... I've been reading back through the beginning of the thread to see what you guys talked about loooooong ago and came upon this post.

2000 posts should be a piece of cake! Here in the US we have Labor Day weekend, Columbus Day, Election Day, Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving when people will be able to dedicate a lot more time to DISing--at least I will! Except that I just found out that our governor took away the day after. Thanksgiving as a holiday, so no four-day weekend for me then:mad:. I would hope that we reach at least 2000 posts before October! We're all starting to get excited, especially if DCL is starting to mail out packages. We didn't get one (yet). But, I just got my Castaway Club stuff last month--and our first cruise was in May 2001!

I promise to do my part to bring us up to as many posts as we can manage.

Beth

So funny.... It's back on page 68 and was posted in July. So now it's October and waaaaay past the 2000 mark.

That is so weird as I was just joking with Jennifer a few days ago about the "will we hit 2000" talk we had not that long ago. My how things have taken off. :thumbsup2

ok, so RIGHT NOW where would you be on the ship ?

Sunday night.. Formal night..

We have late seating sooo we are probably finishing up dessert or already done and sitting in the Adult cove sipping special coffee or an after dinner drink

:thumbsup2

Hi again. ;) Sorry, we have been over at the DVC thread looking at pictures and getting antsy about our trip. Hey Brack, we saw your first picture from your first trip. :) We are jealous but maybe we will get to post a picture with the same caption some time. :goodvibes I think we are going to sign off for the night. Everyone have a great evening/morning and we will talk to you soon.

Oooh, didn't see this for a while. So, it's 11pm EST, so I'm guessing we'd be in the cabin... but probably ordering milk and cookies from room service. We'll still be on West Coast time, so probably wouldn't be ready for sleep yet.

I don't think I'm gonna make it to my self-imposed date of November 1st before making another Wal-mart trip. The urge to shop for cruising supplies is too great.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Cole! We just have one more birthday in our family before the cruise (Emily turns 5 in September). Then, our 11th Anniversary is in late November. We are waiting to celebrate our Anniversary onboard. Our Palo dinner will be our Anniversary dinner. That is what we did last year and it was sooooooooooo nice.
:cool1: I can't wait for this cruise!:cool1:

I'm up to page 104 :rotfl:

Our 11th anniversary is this November too! This trip is a somewhat belated anniversary event. DH stays busy with work right up until the first weekend in December, so we decided to celebrate a bit later this year. :)

It's now 2 am Eastern time, so we would have left Sessions some time ago and should be sleeping very soundly as the boat rocks us to lullaby land.:goodvibes

We had a nice evening. The rain finally let up and we went for a walk to the beach. It is very pretty here. We took two cameras with us....one with a dead battery and one with no flash card.:sad2: Some photographer, eh Brack? :rotfl2: We will try again in the morning. It is supposed to be a mostly nice day tomorrow and then the rain returns for many days. We want to take our new bikes out for a spin also. We bought 2 collapsable bikes with carry bags that we can take with us in the RV and not have to deal with hooking them on the back. Hope the weather holds for the morning.

I thought maybe we could have a Dis' game of shuffleboard maybe during an at sea day or something.. :confused3

Jas and I played a bit of shuffleboard on the last cruise, but I'm not sure if we did it right, because the pucks weren't going very far. :rotfl: We'd be up for a fun tourney though.

Just realized... two months from right now, I'll be checking in at the MCO Hyatt!

And 2 months from NOW, we'll be getting ready for the DIS meet on Deck 10.

Anyone watching AFV?

They just showed a hairy guy in a Speedo! :scared1:

No, but I turned on the TV yesterday and saw the folks from Survivor China wrestling in their underwear....well except for the one guy who was au naturale :scared1: I still don't understand why you would go on Survivor without a swimsuit. I mean they're only in their 9th season!:confused3

:cool2: :cool2: :cool2: :cool2: :cool2: :cool2: :cool2: :cool2:

Well DD and I had a nice weekend. Even though she stayed up until after 11pm on Friday, she still slept in until 11am on Saturday and Sunday - even then I had to drag her out of bed! Last night she spent the night with a friend, since she's off of school today and tomorrow. I'm hoping that'll help her to get up earlier today.

I'll pick her up on the way home. Tomorrow, I'll take her into the Youth Services at the Army Garrison. And she has her first voice lesson tomorrow afternoon.

Oh, plus I need to get her signed up for basketball, and do my recertification to coach.

That's one thing Jasmine will definitely want to do on the cruise - basketball! If anyone wants to do a shooting contest or something like that, she'd be up for it.

I'm a Survivor junkie. They don't have swimsuits this season cause it was another one where they surprised them early in the trip with "You can only take the clothes on your back." So it was whatever they were wearing when they were doing the welcoming ritual with the locals. The next day, they gave them all their athletic shoes since half the women were in heels/sandals. But other than that, they haven't been given any more clothes except for their buffs.

IIRC, that's only the second time they've done that to them. The first time being when they made them jump off the ship in the clothes they were wearing about 100 yards offshore of the island. :lmao:

Well that makes more sense. But I think that after this Season all potential contestants should follow the Boy Scout motto...be prepared. (I think that's the boy scouts :confused3 )

Exactly. I always said that if I went on the show I'd be wearing a sports bra and convertible pants from the minute the plane touched down in whatever part of the world they sent me to :rotfl2:
