DS had a double cross bite and some other problems, along with a small jawline.. If this doesn't work the Orthodonist, and Dentist agree the next step is break his jaw and wire it back together :scared: We are hoping and praying :wizard: to avoid this..

I had a question.

I see a lot of people referring to their "boarding number." Is this something new in the last couple years? When we cruised in 2005, it was check-in, then stand in line. When they started letting people on, you went in the order of where you were standing in line.

It sounds like this new thing is maybe something computerized that actually gives you a number based on the order people check-in? I'd have to say.. I'd love not having to stand in that line. Or maneuver around it to take pics at the terminal!

I am not sure how new it is but they had it when we cruised last year. When you arrive, you receive a boarding group with a certain number. I know that concierge (suites) get the lower numbers and are able to board first, but I am not 100% sure about the higher boarding groups. It could be based on when you arrive but I cannot confirm. The terminal is pretty big and the line for each boarding group really doesn't seem to get in the way for everyone else. There are some folks that will stand at the front even though they are 2 or 3 groups away, but they were in the minority. We got there pretty early and the time still seemed to fly by while we waited. You have the characters, the ship model, and the ability to check in the kids so those all will help distract you from the anticipation. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Hope that helps.

I honestly don't know. We were on DCL Wonder in September but we were so late there was no line..

The time before that we were in Cat 3 and we have our own private line..

Time before that in a 6, we were there arouns 2 and no numbers were given out.. so I have no clue :confused3

We're about to call it a night. I'm sorry you're still sick Beth.

And all that dental stuff sounded painful!

We've only gotten a boarding number when we checked into the Med Cruise. For our caribbean cruises we took the DCL bus down from WDW so I think we got there after they were done with the cards. I think if you get there after 1pm, its just open boarding.

:cheer2: And all the TVs to watch the Classic Disney Cartoons :cheer2:

Thanks, guys :flower3:

From the other posts I read it sounded like they were going to the thing like SWA is doing... still having boarding groups, but then adding numbers to them as well.

I really don't mind what time we get on the ship except that, since we booked so late, I haven't been able to book Palo online so I'll need to do that relatively early the first day.

Jasmine's favorite part of the terminal is walking through the Mickey Ears. I must admit it gives me shivers too!:goodvibes

Yes, I would get there early if I were you so you can get your Palo ressies. Where are you staying the night before?

Did I tell you we're probably going to Tokyo Disney this spring, when we go to Korea? I should be able to use my DVC points by that time:banana:

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt and taking DCL transportation. We'll try to get on the first bus, but that still puts us arriving with at least a bus full of people. :lmao:

I'm not too fussed though... even if we don't get it that day, we'll ask to be wait listed and see if they give us a call back.

Jasmine has tomorrow off too, then she'll go back to school on Wednesday after a SEVEN DAY weekend!! Oh to be in her shoes!

You know you could get a towncar for not much more than the DCL transport, and that way you could leave before the crowd. Just depends how important the Palo is to you.

Personally I've never eaten there in 3 cruises. I never had a chance before, but am looking forward to it this time.
