I may also print a "TAG, You're It!" stateroom door sign. Those seemed to be a hit on other cruises too. You put a list of cruisers on the back and forward the sign onto another stateroom. It should make it to all the staterooms by the end of the cruise. It should be fun if others are willing to forward the sign on. Just an idea.

I have a spreadsheet for our WDW and Cruise trips. I sometimes drive Bill crazy with all my planning.

I have 3 spreadsheets (so far).

1 with all of our information and confirmation #s for flights, ground transfers, cruise, hotel, trip insurance etc.

1 with a daily overview of who's flying in when and what shore excursions, ressies, DIS meets we have planned

1 with all of my expected expenses. And of course I have that broken down into what is already paid for and what I'll be paying on the trip.

Am I missing anything???

We left our two at Simba's one evening last Feb. and had dinner at--not Jiko, what is the buffet at AKL? Had to pry them out of there and they still talk about it. Which is why I'm reeeeeeally hoping they'll enjoy the kids' clubs. Man, we need a night out.

Oh, just leave them with my DD for 10 minutes at the meet on Saturday. She's a great little DCL salesperson.

This is almost like live chat sometimes (though I hate chat usually b/c I feel like I don't get to finish a thought). What time zones are people in? I'm just getting a quiet moment post-bedtime here, it's 8:30 and time for me to make myself a cup of tea...

I'm 6 hours ahead of East coast time, so I think I'm 5 hours ahead of you??

I hate to tell you; Pooh_Girl no longer likes you. She saw that you have a Disney Outlet and she threw the computer in the ditch out back. I had to go dig it out; it smells. But in all honesty, we're trying to even get a Disney store here. The closest one to us is in Memphis, an HOUR AWAY!!!!!

Oh gee, a whole HOUR, as opposed to a Transatlantic Flight. Uh huh. No sympathy from me!

Vermont--you see??? That's just who I was thinking of, muddying the maple waters! I mean, c'mon, it's on our flag!! My dh is from a part of Canada where they dry and snack on a seaweed called dulse. Pretty regional and unique, but you'd be better off with the maple candy...

I just called DCL about prices for the cruise. By changing from our Cat11 to Cat 12 GTY I saved $770.00!

and I still keep our room credit.

Awesome! There's $770 you can spend towards your NEXT cruise!

Hey now, I do the cooking in our house, and we have 6 computers. 4 of which are running *right now*

I know this is probably a little off topic but I had a real eye opening experience when I was at our manager conference at Disney World. There were numerous people that were bad mouthing this and complaining about that and were ready to go home as soon as they got there. In fact, we got souvenir Mickey ears with our names embroidered on the back and one person had the audacity to throw them away as soon as he got to his hotel room. And he bragged about it! The funny thing was that I didn't feel angry but rather sad. I was sad for them that they couldn't feel the "magic" of Disney. Call me an old sentimental fool (no age comments Jennifer ), but I do "feel it" when I at WDW or especialy on a cruise and I am a kid all over again. Jennifer will tell that I am big kid on the inside, and you know what...I am OK with that. It keeps me feeling young and helps me keep my sanity in a hectic and stressful environment at work. I don't want this to sound like a religious speech, but I hope those people at the offsite can one day feel it as well and experience the magic that we all have.

That is sad. I was a CM at Disneyland (3 years in the park and 2 at the WD Travel Co.) We got to do lots of cool stuff, but you do kind of lose the "magic" feeling. I definitely got it back though when I took Jasmine to Disneyland for the first time. She was only 1, and slept most of the day. But for me it was really special. A couple years later we went to CA Adventure and I had tears in my eyes when she got to see the Electrical Parade for the first time.

The more I think about DVC the more I am leaning towards buying in. There is an intangible emotion tied to anything Disney that you just can't put a price on.

I got to eat in Club 33 once, it was VERY nice!

For the few pins that I loved and knew I'd keep, I just got a corkboard like people hang in their office for memos with pushpins. I covered the whole thing in a Disney theme fabric that happened to have a checkerboard pattern. I stapled the fabric into place around the edges then covered the staples by hot gluing ribbon around the edge. Took off the backs of the pins, pushed them through the fabric and into the cork, and there you have it.

But them, I'm not a "serious" collector. The same principle would probably work with a shadowbox as well though if you were worried about keeping them dust-free, etc.
